Jeremiah 45

1 The word that Jeremias the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Nerias, when he had written there words in a book, out of the mouth of Jeremias, in the fourth year of Joakim the son of Josias king of Juda, saying:	1 Palabra que dijo el profeta Jeremías a Baruc, hijo de Neriyías, cuando éste copiaba estas palabras en un libro al dictado de Jeremías, en el año cuarto de Yoyaquim, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá.
2 Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel to thee, Baruch:	2 Así dice Yahveh, el Dios de Israel, respecto a ti, oh Baruc:
3 Thou hast said: Woe is me, wretch that I am, for the Lord hath added sorrow to my sorrow: I am wearied with my groans, and I find no rest.	3 Tú dijiste: «¡Ay de mí, que añade Yahveh congoja a mi sufrimiento! Me he agotado en mi jadeo, pero sosiego no hallé».
4 Thus saith the Lord: Thus shalt thou say to him: Behold, them whom I have built, I do destroy: and them whom I have planted, I do pluck up, and all this land.	4 Así le dirás: Esto dice Yahveh: Mira que lo que edifiqué, yo lo derribo, y aquello que planté, yo lo arranco, esto por toda la tierra.
5 And dost thou seek great things for thyself ? Seek not : for behold I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the Lord ! but I will give thee thy life, and save thee in all places whithersoever thou shalt go.	5 ¡Y tú andas buscándote grandezas! No las busques porque mira que yo traigo desgracia sobre toda carne - oráculo de Yahveh - pero a ti te daré la vida salva por botín a donde quiera que vayas.
