1 Unto the end. A psalm for David.	1 Au maître de chant. Psaume de David.
2 The heavens shew forth the glory of God, and the firmament declareth the work of his hands.	2 Les cieux racontent la gloire de Dieu, la voûte aux étoiles expose l’œuvre de ses mains.
3 Day to day uttereth speech, and night to night sheweth knowledge.	3 Le jour en parle avec le jour et la nuit à la nuit en rafraîchit la connaissance.
4 There are no speeches nor languages, where their voices are not heard.	4 Pas besoin de bouche ni de parole, nulle voix ne se fait entendre,
5 Their sound hath gone forth into all the earth: and their words unto the ends of the world.	5 mais sur toute la terre on en perçoit le sens, leur message est écouté jusqu’au bout du monde. Le soleil a sa tente à l’horizon des mers,
6 He hath set his tabernacle in the sun: and he, as a bridegroom coming out of his bride chamber, Hath rejoiced as a giant to run the way:	6 il sort comme un nouveau marié tout joyeux de sa chambre et sûr de lui, il parcourt sa route.
7 His going out is from the end of heaven, And his circuit even to the end thereof: and there is no one that can hide himself from his heat.	7 Il commence au plus loin des horizons des cieux et lorsqu’il a fini à l’autre extrémité, rien n’a pu se soustraire à ses rayons.
8 The law of the Lord is unspotted, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, giving wisdom to little ones.	8 La Loi du Seigneur est parfaite, elle redonne vie à l’âme. Les déclarations du Seigneur ne trompent pas, elles donnent aux simples la sagesse.
9 The justices of the Lord are right, rejoicing hearts: the commandment of the Lord is lightsome, enlightening the eyes.	9 Les règles du Seigneur vont droit au but: on y trouve la joie intérieure. Le commandement du Seigneur est transparent, il donne à tes yeux la lumière.
10 The fear of the Lord is holy, enduring for ever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, justified in themselves.	10 La crainte du Seigneur est un diamant, elle dure pour l’éternité. Les sentences du Seigneur sont vérité, où qu’elles frappent, elles sont justes.
11 More to be desired than gold and many precious stones: and sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.	11 Elles sont plus précieuses que l’or chez l’orfèvre, plus délicieuses que le miel en son rayon.
12 For thy servant keepeth them, and in keeping them there is a great reward.	12 Aussi ton serviteur y cherche la lumière; que ne gagne-t-on pas à les observer!
13 Who can understand sins? from my secret ones cleanse me, O Lord:	13 Car, qui est conscient de ses erreurs? Purifie-moi du mal qui m’échappe.
14 and from those of others spare thy servant. If they shall have no dominion over me, then shall I be without spot: and I shall be cleansed from the greatest sin.	14 Préserve aussi ton serviteur de l’orgueil, qu’il ne domine pas sur moi: alors je serai pur de tout gros péché.
15 And the words of my mouth shall be such as may please: and the meditation of my heart always in thy sight. O Lord, my helper, and my redeemer.	15 Seigneur, mon rocher, mon rédempteur, j’aimerais que mes paroles te plaisent, tout cela que je médite, seul devant toi.
