1 Now the children of Israel according to their number, the heads of families, captains of thousands and of hundreds, and officers, that served the king according to their companies, who came in and went out every month in the year, under every chief were four and twenty thousand.	1 El número de los israelitas –incluyendo los jefes de familia, los jefes de mil y cien hombres y los oficiales que servían al rey en lo referente a las divisiones que entraban y salían de servicio cada mes, a lo largo de todo el año– era de 24.000 hombres por cada división.
2 Over the first company the first month Jesboam, the son of Zabdiel was chief, and under him were four and twenty thousand.	2 Al frente de la primera división, la del primer mes, estaba Iasobam, hijo de Zabdiel: su división tenía 24.000 hombres.
3 Of the sons of Phares, the chief of all the captains in the host in the first month.	3 El pertenecía a la familia de Peres y era el jefe de todos los oficiales del primer mes.

6 This is that Banaias the most valiant among the thirty, and above the thirty. And Amizabad his son commanded his company.	6 Benaías era uno de los Treinta guerreros y se hallaba al frente de ellos; en su división estaba también su hijo Amizabad.
7 The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zabadias his son after him: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.	7 El cuarto, el del cuarto mes, era Asahel, hermano de Joab, y le sucedió su hijo Zebadías: su división tenía 24.000 hombres.
8 The fifth captain for the fifth month, was Samaoth a Jezerite: and his company were four and twenty thousand.	8 El quinto jefe, el del quinto mes, era Samhut, el izrajita: su división tenía 24.000 hombres.
9 The sixth, for the sixth month, was Hira the son of Acces a Thecuite: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.	9 El sexto, el del sexto mes, era Irá, hijo de Iqués, el tecoíta: su división tenía 24.000 hombres.
10 The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helles a Phallonite of the sons of Ephraim: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.	10 El séptimo, el del séptimo mes, era Jeles, el pelonita, de los descendientes de Efraím: su división tenía 24.000 hombres.
11 The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sobochai a Husathite of the race of Zarahi: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.	11 El octavo, el del octavo mes, era Sibecai, de Jusá, de los zarjitas: su división tenía 24.000 hombres.
12 The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer an Anathothite of the sons of Jemini, and in His company were four and twenty thousand.	12 El noveno, el del noveno mes, era Abiézer, de Anatot, de los benjaminitas: su división tenía 24.000 hombres.
13 The tenth, for the tenth month, was Marai, who was a Netophathite of the race of Zarai: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.	13 El décimo, el del décimo mes, era Maharai, de Netofá, de los zarjitas: su división tenía 24.000 hombres.
14 The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Banaias, a Pharathonite of the sons of Ephraim: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.	14 El undécimo, el del undécimo mes, era Benaías, de Pireatón, de los descendientes de Efraím: su división tenía 24.000 hombres.
15 The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Holdai a Netophathite, of the race of Gothoniel: and in his company were four and twenty thousand.	15 El duodécimo, el del duodécimo mes, era Jeldai, de Netofá, de la estirpe de Otniel: su división tenía 24.000 hombres.
16 Now the chiefs over the tribes of Israel were these: over the Rubenites, Eliezer the son of Zechri was ruler: over the Simeonites, Saphatias the son of Maacha :	16 Los jefes que estaban al frente de las tribus de Israel fueron los siguientes: De Rubén: Eliezer, hijo de Zicrí. De Simeón: Sefatías, hijo de Maacá.
17 Over the Levites, Hasabias the son of Camuel: over the Aaronites, Sadoc:	17 De Leví: Jasabías, hijo de Quemuel. De Aarón: Sadoc.
18 Over Juda, Eliu the brother of David: over Issachar, Amri the son of Michael:	18 De Judá: Elihú, uno de los hermanos de David. De Isacar: Omrí, hijo de Micael.
19 Over the Zabulonites, Jesmaias the son of Adias : over the Nephtalites, Jerimoth the son of Ozriel:	19 De Zabulón: Ismaías, hijo de Abdías. De Neftalí: Ierimot, hijo de Azriel.
20 Over the sons of Ephraim, Osee the: son of Ozaziu: over the half tribe of Manasses, Joel the son of Phadaia:	20 De los descendientes de Efraím: Oseas, hijo de Azazías. De la mitad de la tribu de Manasés: Joel, hijo de Pedaías.
21 And over the half tribe of Manasses: in Galaad, Jaddo the son of Zacharias: and over Benjamin, Jasiel the son of Abner.	21 De la mitad de la tribu de Manasés, en Galaad: Idó, hijo de Zacarías. De Benjamín: Iaasiel, hijo de Abner.
22 And over Dan, Ezrihel the son of Jeroham: these were the princes of the children of Israel.	22 De Dan: Azarel, hijo de Ierojam. Estos eran los jefes de las tribus de Israel.
23 But David would not number them from twenty years old and under: because the Lord had said that he would multiply Israel like the stars of heaven.	23 David no hizo el censo de los que tenían menos de veinte años, porque el Señor le había prometido que multiplicaría a Israel como las estrellas del cielo.
24 Joab the son of Sarvia began to number, but he finished not: because upon this there fell wrath upon Israel: and therefore the number of them that were numbered, was not registered in the chronicles of king David.	24 Joab, hijo de Seruiá, había comenzado a hacer el censo, pero no lo terminó, porque a causa de él, la ira del Señor se descargó sobre Israel. Por eso el resultado del censo no figura en el libro de las Crónicas del rey David.
25 And over the king's treasures was Azmoth the son of Adiel: and over those stores which were in the cities, and is the villages, and in the castles, was Jonathan the son of Ozias.	25 Azmávet, hijo de Adiel, era el encargado de los tesoros del rey. Jonatán, hijo de Uzías, el encargado de los depósitos de los campos, de las ciudades, de los poblados y de las fortalezas.
26 And over the tillage, and the husbandmen, who tilled the ground, was Ezri the son of Chelub:	26 Ezrí, hijo de Quelub, el encargado de los agricultores que trabajaban las tierras.
27 And over the dressers of the vineyards, was Semeias a Romathite: and over the wine cellars, Zabdias an Aphonite.	27 Simei, de Ramá, el encargado de las viñas. Sabdí, de Ramá, el encargado de las viñas. Sabdí, el sifmita, el encargado del producto de las viñas y de las bodegas.
28 And over the oliveyards and the fig groves, which were in the plains, was Balanam a Gederite: and over the oil cellars, Joas.	28 Baal Janán, de Guéder, el encargado de los olivares y los sicomoros de la Sefelá. Joás, el encargado de los depósitos de aceite.
29 And over the herds that fed in Saron, was Setrai a Saronite: and over the. oxen in the valleys, Saphat the son of Adli:	29 Sitrai, de Sarón, el encargado del ganado vacuno que pastaba en Sarón. Safat, hijo de Adlai, el encargado del ganado vacuno de los valles.
30 And over the camels, Ubil an Ishmahelite: and over the asses, Jadias a Meronathite:	30 Obil, el ismaelita, el encargado de los camellos. Jejdeías, de Meronot, el encargado de las asnas.
31 And over the sheep Jazia an Agarene. All these were the rulers of the substance of king David.	31 Y Iazíz, de Agar, el encargado del ganado menor. Todos estos eran los encargados de los bienes que pertenecían al rey David.
32 And Jonathan David's uncle, a counsellor, a wise and learned man: he and Jahiel the son of Hachamoni were with the king's sons.	32 Jonatán, tío de David, hombre prudente e instruido, era consejero. Iejiel, hijo de Iacmoní, era preceptor de los hijos del rey.
33 And Achitophel was the king's counsellor, and Chusai the Arachite, the king's friend.	33 Ajitófel era consejero del rey. Jusai, el arquita, era amigo del rey.
34 And after Achitophel was Joiada the son of Banaias, and Abiathar. And the general of the king's army was Joab.	34 Los sucesores de Ajitófel fueron Iehoiadá, hijo de Benaías, y Abiatar. Joab era el jefe del ejército real.
