1 So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent, which David had pitched for it : and they offered holocausts, and peace offerings before God.	1 Così l'arca di Dio fu introdotta e collocata in mezzo alla tenda che Davide aveva eretto per essa, poi furono offerti olocausti e sacrifici pacifici dinanzi a Dio.
2 And when David had made an end of offering holocausts, and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.	2 Quando Davide ebbe finito di offrire gli olocausti e i sacrifici pacifici, benedisse il popolo nel nome del Signore
3 And he divided to all and every one, both men and women, a loaf of bread, and a piece of roasted beef, and flour fried with oil.	3 e distribuì singolarmente a tutti gli Israeliti, uomini e donne, una pagnotta di pane, carne arrostita e una schiacciata di uva passa.
4 And he appointed Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, and to remember his works, and to glorify, and praise the Lord God of Israel.	4 Egli stabilì che alcuni leviti stessero davanti all'arca di Dio, come ministri per celebrare, glorificare e lodare il Signore, Dio d'Israele:
5 Asaph the chief, and next after him Zacharias: moreover Jahiel, and Semiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mathathias, and Eliab, and Banaias, and Obededom: and Jehiel over the instruments of psaltery, and harps: and Asaph sounded with cymbals:	5 Asaf, il capo, Zaccaria, il suo secondo, Uzzièl, Semiramot, Iechièl, Mattatia, Eliàb, Benaià, Obed-Edom e Ieièl, che suonavano strumenti musicali, arpe e cetre; Asaf suonava i cembali.
6 But Banaias, and Jaziel the priests, to sound the trumpet continually before the ark of the covenant of the Lord.	6 I sacerdoti Benaià e Iacaziel suonavano continuamente le trombe davanti all'arca dell'alleanza di Dio.
7 In that day David made Asaph the chief to give praise to the Lord with his brethren.	7 Proprio in quel giorno Davide affidò per la prima volta ad Asaf ed ai suoi fratelli questa lode al Signore:
8 Praise ye the Lord, and call upon his name: make known his doings among the nations.	8 "Celebrate il Signore, invocate il suo nome; fate conoscere tra i popoli le sue gesta!
9 Sing to him, yea, sing praises to him: and relate all his wondrous works.	9 Cantate a lui, inneggiate in suo onore, narrate tutte le sue meraviglie.
10 Praise ye his holy name: let the heart I of them rejoice, that seek the Lord.	10 Gloriatevi nel suo nome santo, si rallegri il cuore di quanti cercano il Signore.
11 Seek ye the Lord, and his power: seek ye his face evermore.	11 Cercate il Signore e la sua potenza, ricercate il suo volto continuamente.
12 Remember his wonderful works, which he hath done: his signs, and the judgments of his mouth.	12 Ricordate le meraviglie che egli operò, i prodigi e le sentenze della sua bocca,
13 O ye seed of Israel his servants, ye children of Jacob his chosen.	13 progenie di Israele, suo servo, figli di Giacobbe, suoi eletti!
14 He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.	14 Egli, il Signore, è il nostro Dio, su tutta la terra sono i suoi giudizi.
15 Remember for ever his covenant: the word, which he commanded to a thousand generations.	15 Ricordatevi sempre della sua alleanza, della parola che ordinò per mille generazioni,
16 The covenant which he made with Abraham: and his oath to Isaac.	16 dell'alleanza stipulata con Abramo, del suo giuramento fatto ad Isacco,
17 And he appointed the same to Jacob for a precept: and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:	17 che stabilì per Giacobbe come uno statuto e per Israele come un'alleanza eterna,
18 Saying: To thee will I give the land of Chanaan: the lot of your inheritance.	18 dicendo: "A te darò il paese di Canaan come porzione della vostra eredità,
19 When they were but a small number: very few and sojourners in it.	19 per quanto siate pochi di numero, pochi e inoltre stranieri nel paese".
20 And they passed from nation to nation: and from a kingdom to another people.	20 Passarono da una nazione all'altra e da un regno a un altro popolo.
21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: and reproved kings for their sake.	21 Non permise che alcuno li opprimesse, anzi per causa loro punì dei re:
22 Touch not my anointed: and do no evil to my prophets.	22 "Non toccate i miei consacrati, e non fate del male ai miei profeti".
23 Sing ye to the Lord, all the earth: shew forth from day to day his salvation.	23 Canta al Signore, terra intera, annuncia di giorno in giorno la sua salvezza!
24 Declare his glory among the Gentiles: his wonders among all people.	24 Proclama fra le nazioni la sua gloria, fra tutti i popoli i suoi prodigi.
25 For the Lord is great and exceedingly to be praised: and he is to be feared above all gods.	25 Sì, il Signore è grande e degnissimo di lode, tremendo sopra tutti gli dèi,
26 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.	26 poiché tutti gli dèi delle genti sono un nulla, mentre il Signore ha fatto i cieli.
27 Praise and magnificence are before him: strength and joy in his place.	27 Splendore e maestà stanno davanti a lui, potenza e gioia nel suo santuario.
28 Bring ye to the Lord, O ye families of the nations: bring ye to the Lord glory and empire.	28 Rendete al Signore, o famiglie dei popoli, rendete al Signore gloria e potenza!
29 Give to the Lord glory to his name, bring up sacrifice, and come ye in his sight: and adore the Lord in holy becomingness.	29 Rendete al Signore la gloria del suo nome, portate offerte e venite al suo cospetto! Adorate il Signore in ornamenti sacri!
30 Let all the earth be moved at his presence : for he hath founded the world immoveable.	30 Trema davanti a lui, o terra tutta, egli rende stabile il mondo così che non vacilli.
31 Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth be glad: and let them say among the nations: The Lord hath reigned.	31 Si rallegrino i cieli ed esulti la terra, e dicano fra le nazioni: "Il Signore regna!".
32 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all things that are in them.	32 Frema il mare e ciò che lo riempie, tripudi la campagna con quanto contiene!
33 Then shall the trees of the wood give praise before the Lord: because he is come to judge the earth.	33 Allora giubileranno gli alberi della foresta di fronte al Signore che viene, per giudicare la terra.
34 Give ye glory to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.	34 Celebrate il Signore, perché egli è buono, perché eterna è la sua bontà.
35 And say ye: Save us, O God our saviour: and gather us together, and deliver us from the nations, that we may give glory to thy holy name, and may rejoice in singing thy praises.	35 Dite: "Salvaci, o Dio della nostra salvezza; raccoglici e liberaci dalle nazioni, perché possiamo celebrare il santo tuo nome, e gloriarci della tua lode.
36 Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from eternity to eternity: and let all the people say Amen, and a hymn to God.	36 Benedetto il Signore Dio d'Israele di eternità in eternità". E tutto il popolo disse: "Amen, alleluia".
37 So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, Asaph and his brethren to minister in the presence of the ark continually day by day, and in their courses.	37 Quindi Davide lasciò lì, davanti all'arca dell'alleanza del Signore, Asaf ed i suoi fratelli, perché officiassero davanti all'arca continuamente secondo il rito quotidiano;
38 And Obededom, with his brethren sixty-eight: and Obededom the son of Idithun, and Hosa he appointed to be porters.	38 lasciò anche Obed-Edom con i suoi fratelli, in numero di sessantotto. Obed-Edom, figlio di Idutun, e Cosà come portieri.
39 And Sadoc the priest, and his brethren priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place, which was in Gabaon.	39 Al sacerdote Zadòk insieme ai suoi fratelli sacerdoti affidò il servizio della dimora del Signore che era sull'altura di Gabaon,
40 That they should offer holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of holocausts continually, morning and evening, according to all that is written in the law of the Lord, which he commanded Israel.	40 perché offrissero olocausti al Signore sull'altare degli olocausti, continuamente mattina e sera, secondo quanto è scritto nella legge che il Signore aveva ordinato ad Israele.
41 And after him Heman, and Idithun, and the rest that were chosen, every one by his name to give praise to the Lord: because his mercy endureth for ever.	41 Con loro erano Eman, Idutun e gli altri eletti che erano stati designati per nome per lodare il Signore, "perché eterna è la sua bontà".
42 And Heman and Idithun sounded the trumpet, and played on the cymbals, and all kinds of musical instruments to sing praises to God: and the sons of Idithun he made porters.	42 Essi avevano trombe e cembali per suonare ed altri strumenti per il canto divino, mentre i figli di Idutun si trovavano alla porta.
43 And all the people returned to their houses: and David to bless also his own house.	43 Infine tutto il popolo fece ritorno nella propria casa; e Davide ritornò per benedire la sua casa.
