Lettera di Giuda 1

1 GIUDA, servitore di Gesù Cristo, e fratello di Giacomo, a’ chiamati, santificati in Dio Padre, e conservati in Cristo Gesù;	1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are beloved in God the Father, and who are guarded and called in Jesus Christ:
2 misericordia, pace, e carità, vi sia moltiplicata	2 May mercy, and peace, and love be fulfilled in you.
3 DILETTI, poichè io pongo ogni studio in iscrivervi della comune salute, mi è stato necessario scrivervi, per esortarvi di proseguire a combattere per la fede che è stata una volta insegnata a’ santi.	3 Most beloved, taking all care to write to you about your common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you in order to beg you to contend earnestly for the faith that was handed down once to the saints.
4 Perciocchè son sottentrati certi uomini, i quali già innanzi ab antico sono stati scritti a questa condannazione; empi, i quali rivolgono la grazia dell’Iddio nostro a lascivia, e negano il solo Dio e Padrone, il Signor nostro Gesù Cristo.	4 For certain men entered unnoticed, who were written of beforehand unto this judgment: impious persons who are transforming the grace of our God into self-indulgence, and who are denying both the sole Ruler and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 Or io voglio ricordar questo a voi, che avete saputo una volta questo: che il Signore, avendo salvato il suo popolo dal paese di Egitto, poi appresso distrusse quelli che non credettero.	5 So I want to caution you. Those who once knew everything that Jesus did, in saving the people from the land of Egypt, afterwards perished because they did not believe.
6 Ed ha messi in guardia sotto caligine, con legami eterni, per il giudicio del gran giorno, gli angeli che non hanno guardata la loro origine, ma hanno lasciata la lor propria stanza.	6 And truly, the Angels, who did not keep to their first place, but instead abandoned their own domiciles, he has reserved with perpetual chains under darkness, unto the great day of judgment.
7 Come Sodoma e Gomorra, e le città d’intorno, avendo fornicato nelle medesima maniera che costoro, ed essendo andate dietro ad altra carne, sono state proposte per esempio, portando la pena dell’eterno fuoco	7 And also Sodom and Gomorrah, and the adjoining cities, in similar ways, having given themselves over to fornication and to the pursuing of other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.
8 E pur simigliantemente ancora costoro, trasognati, contaminano la carne, e sprezzano le signorie, e dicon male delle dignità.	8 Similarly also, these ones certainly defile the flesh, and they despise proper authority, and they blaspheme against majesty.
9 Là dove l’arcangelo Michele, quando, contendendo col diavolo, disputava intorno al corpo di Mosè, non ardì lanciar contro a lui sentenza di maldicenza; anzi disse: Sgriditi il Signore.	9 When Michael the Archangel, disputing with the devil, contended about the body of Moses, he did not dare to bring against him a judgment of blasphemy, so instead he said: “The Lord commands you.”
10 Ma costoro dicon male di tutte le cose che ignorano; e si corrompono in tutte quelle, le quali, come gli animali senza ragione, naturalmente sanno.	10 But these men certainly blaspheme against whatever they do not understand. And yet, whatever they, like mute animals, know from nature, in these things they are corrupted.
11 Guai a loro! perciocchè son camminati per la via di Caino, e si son lasciati trasportare per l’inganno del premio di Balaam, e son periti per la ribellione di Core.	11 Woe to them! For they have gone after the way of Cain, and they have poured out the error of Balaam for profit, and they have perished in the sedition of Korah.
12 Costoro son macchie ne’ vostri pasti di carità, mentre sono a tavola con voi, pascendo loro stessi senza riverenza; nuvole senz’acqua, sospinte qua e là da’ venti; alberi appassati, sterili, due volte morti, diradicati;	12 These ones are defiled within their banquets, enjoying themselves and feeding themselves without fear; waterless clouds, which are tossed about by winds; autumn trees, unfruitful, twice dead, uprooted;
13 fiere onde del mare, schiumanti le lor brutture; stelle erranti, a cui è riserbata la caligine delle tenebre in eterno.	13 raging waves of the sea, foaming from their own confusion; wandering stars, for whom the whirlwind of darkness has been reserved forever!
14 Or a tali ancora profetizzò Enoc, settimo da Adamo, dicendo: Ecco, il Signore è venuto con le sue sante migliaia;	14 And about these, Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied, saying: “Behold, the Lord is arriving with thousands of his saints,
15 per far giudicio contro a tutti, ed arguire tutti gli empi d’infra loro, di tutte le opere d’empietà, che hanno commesse; e di tutte le cose felle, che hanno proferite contro a lui gli empi peccatori.	15 to execute judgment against everyone, and to reprove all the impious concerning all the works of their impiety, by which they have acted impiously, and concerning all the harsh things that impious sinners have spoken against God.”
16 Costoro son mormoratori, querimoniosi, camminando secondo le loro concupiscenze; e la lor bocca proferisce cose sopra modo gonfie, ammirando le persone per l’utilità.	16 These ones are complaining murmurers, walking according to their own desires. And their mouth is speaking arrogance, admiring persons for the sake of gain.
17 Ma voi, diletti, ricordatevi delle parole predette dagli apostoli del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo;	17 But as for you, most beloved, be mindful of the words which have been foretold by the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
18 come vi dicevano, che nell’ultimo tempo vi sarebbero degli schernitori; i quali camminerebbero secondo le concupiscenze delle loro empietà.	18 who declared to you that, in the end time, there would arrive mockers, walking according to their own desires, in impieties.
19 Costoro son quelli che separano sè stessi, essendo sensuali, non avendo lo Spirito.	19 These are the ones who segregate themselves; they are animals, not having the Spirit.
20 Ma voi, diletti, edificando voi stessi sopra la vostra santissima fede, orando per lo Spirito Santo,	20 But you, most beloved, are building yourselves up by your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
21 conservatevi nell’amor di Dio, aspettando la misericordia del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, a vita eterna.	21 keeping yourselves in the love of God, and anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 Ed abbiate compassione degli uni, usando discrezione;	22 So certainly, reprove them, after they have been judged.
23 ma salvate gli altri per ispavento, rapendoli dal fuoco; odiando eziandio la vesta macchiata dalla carne.	23 Yet truly, save them, seizing them from the fire. And have mercy on others: in fear, hating even that which is of the flesh, the defiled garment.
24 Or a colui che è potente da conservarvi senza intoppo, e farvi comparir davanti alla gloria sua irreprensibili, con giubilo;	24 Then, to him who has the power to keep you free from sin and to present you, immaculate, with exultation, before the presence of his glory at the advent of our Lord Jesus Christ,
25 a Dio sol savio, Salvator nostro, sia gloria e magnificenza; imperio, e podestà; ed ora e per tutti i secoli. Amen	25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord: to him be glory and magnificence, dominion and power, before all ages, and now, and in every age, forever. Amen.
