Isaia 65

1 IO sono stato ricercato da quelli che non domandavano di me, io sono stato trovato da quelli che non mi cercavano; io ho detto alla gente che non si chiamava del mio Nome: Eccomi, eccomi.	1 Those who before were not asking for me have sought me. Those who have not sought me have found me. I said, “Behold, it is I! Behold, it is I!” to a nation which was not invoking my name.
2 Io ho stese tuttodì le mani ad un popolo ribello, il qual cammina per una via che non è buona, dietro a’ suoi pensieri;	2 I have extended my hands all day long to an unbelieving people, who advance along a way that is not good, following their own thoughts,
3 ad un popolo, che del continuo mi dispetta in faccia, che sacrifica nei giardini, e fa profumi sopra i mattoni.	3 to a people who provoke me to anger before my face continually, who immolate in the gardens, and who sacrifice upon the bricks.
4 Il qual dimora fra i sepolcri, e passa le notti ne’ luoghi appartati; che mangia carne di porco, e ne’ cui vaselli vi è del brodo di cose abbominevoli.	4 They live in sepulchers, and they sleep in the shrines of idols. They eat the flesh of swine, and a profane elixir is in their vessels.
5 Che dice: Fatti in là, non accostarti a me; perciocchè io son più santo di te. Tali sono un fumo al mio naso, un fuoco ardente tuttodì.	5 They say: “Depart from me! Do not approach me, for you are unclean!” Such as these will be the smoke in my fury, a fire burning all day long.
6 Ecco, tutto questo è scritto nel mio cospetto; io non mi tacerò, ma ne farò la retribuzione; ne farò loro la retribuzione in seno.	6 Behold, it has been written in my sight; I will not be silent. Instead, I will render retribution into their sinews.
7 Le vostre iniquità, e l’iniquità de’ vostri padri, che han fatti profumi sopra i monti, e mi hanno villaneggiato sopra i colli, son tutte insieme, ha detto il Signore; perciò, io misurerò loro in seno il pagamento di ciò che han fatto fin dal principio	7 Your iniquities are joined with the iniquities of your fathers, says the Lord. For they have sacrificed upon the mountains, and they have offended me upon the hills. And so, I will measure back to them, from their first work, into their sinews.
8 Così ha detto il Signore: Siccome, quando si trova del mosto ne’ grappoli, si dice: Non guastar la vigna, perciocchè vi è della benedizione; così farò io per amor de’ miei servitori, per non guastare ogni cosa.	8 Thus says the Lord: In the same way as it is said about a grain found in a cluster, “Do not destroy it, because it is a blessing,” so will I act for the sake of my servants, so that I may not destroy the whole.
9 E farò uscire di Giacobbe una progenie, e di Giuda de’ possessori de’ miei monti; ed i miei eletti possederanno la terra, ed i miei servitori abiteranno in essa.	9 And I will lead forth an offspring from Jacob, and a possessor of my mountains from Judah. And my elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall live there.
10 E Saron sarà per mandra del minuto bestiame, e la valle di Acor per mandra del grosso; per lo mio popolo che mi avrà cercato	10 And the open plains will become sheepfolds for the flocks, and the valley of Achor will become a domicile for the herds, for my people who have sought me.
11 Ma quant’è a voi che abbandonate il Signore, che dimenticate il monte della mia santità, che apparecchiate la mensa al pianeta Gad, e fate a piena coppa offerte da spandere a Meni,	11 And you who have forsaken the Lord, who have forgotten my holy mountain, who set a table for Fortune, and who offer libations concerning her:
12 io vi darò a conto alla spada, e voi tutti sarete messi giù per essere scannati; perciocchè io ho chiamato, e voi non avete risposto; io ho parlato, e voi non avete ascoltato; anzi avete fatto ciò che mi dispiace, ed avete eletto ciò che non mi aggrada.	12 I will number you with the sword, and you will all fall by slaughter. For I called and you did not respond; I spoke, and you did not listen. And you did what is evil in my eyes; and what I did not will, you have chosen.
13 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Ecco, i miei servitori mangeranno, e voi sarete affamati; ecco, i miei servitori berranno, e voi sarete assetati; ecco, i miei servitori si rallegreranno, e voi sarete confusi;	13 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, my servants will eat, and you will be hungry. Behold, my servants will drink, and you will be thirsty.
14 ecco, i miei servitori giubileranno di letizia di cuore, e voi striderete di cordoglio, ed urlerete di rottura di spirito.	14 Behold, my servants will rejoice, and you will be confounded. Behold, my servants will give praise in exultation of heart, and you will cry out in sorrow of heart, and you will wail in contrition of spirit.
15 E lascerete il vostro nome a’ miei eletti, per servir d’esecrazione; e il Signore Iddio ti ucciderà; ma egli nominerà i suoi servitori d’un altro nome.	15 And you will leave behind your name to my elect as a curse. And the Lord God will put you to death, and he will call his servants by another name.
16 Colui che si benedirà nella terra si benedirà nell’Iddio di verità; e colui che giurerà nella terra giurerà per l’Iddio di perità; perciocchè le afflizioni di prima saranno dimenticate, e saranno nascoste dagli occhi miei	16 By that name, whoever is blessed on earth, will be blessed in God. Amen! And whoever swears on earth, will swear by God. Amen! For the past anguishes have been delivered into oblivion, and they have been hidden from my eyes.
17 Perciocchè, ecco, io creo nuovi cieli, e nuova terra; e le cose di prima non saranno più rammemorate, e non verranno più alla mente.	17 For behold, I create the new heavens and the new earth. And the former things will not be in memory and will not enter into the heart.
18 Anzi rallegratevi, e festeggiate in perpetuo, per le cose che io son per creare; perciocchè, ecco, io creerò Gerusalemme per esser tutta gioia, ed il suo popolo per esser tutto letizia.	18 But you will be glad and exult, even forever, in these things that I create. For behold, I create Jerusalem as an exultation, and its people as a joy.
19 Ed io festeggerò di Gerusalemme, e mi rallegrerò del mio popolo; ed in quella non si udirà più voce di pianto, nè voce di strido.	19 And I will exult in Jerusalem, and I will rejoice in my people. And neither a voice of weeping, nor a voice of outcry, will be heard in her anymore.
20 Non vi sarà più da indi innanzi bambino di pochi giorni nè vecchio, che non compia la sua età; perciocchè chi morrà d’età di cent’anni sarà ancora fanciullo, e il malfattore d’età di cent’anni sarà maledetto.	20 There will no longer be an infant of only a few days there, nor an elder who does not complete his days. For a mere child dies at a hundred years of age, and a sinner of a hundred years will be accursed.
21 Ed edificheranno delle case, e vi abiteranno; e pianteranno delle vigne, e ne mangeranno il frutto.	21 And they will build houses, and will inhabit them. And they will plant vineyards, and will eat their fruits.
22 Ei non avverrà più ch’essi edifichino delle case, e che altri vi abiti dentro; ch’essi piantino, e che altri mangi il frutto; perciocchè i giorni del mio popolo saranno come i giorni degli alberi, e i miei eletti faranno invecchiar l’opera delle lor mani.	22 They will not build, so that another may inhabit. They will not plant, so that another may eat. For according to the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people. And the works of their hands will be long-standing.
23 Non si affaticheranno più in vano, e non genereranno più a turbamento; perciocchè saranno la progenie de’ benedetti del Signore, ed avran seco quelli che saranno usciti di loro.	23 My elect will not labor in vain, and they will not bring forth in disorder. For they are the offspring of the blessed of the Lord, and their posterity are with them.
24 Ed avverrà che, avanti che abbian gridato, io risponderò; mentre parleranno ancora, io li avrò esauditi.	24 And this shall be: before they call out, I will perceive; while they are still speaking, I will hear.
25 Il lupo e l’agnello pastureranno insieme; e il leone mangerà lo strame come il bue; e il cibo della serpe sarà la polvere; queste bestie, in tutto il monte della mia santità, non faranno danno, nè guasto; ha detto il Signore	25 The wolf and the lamb will pasture together. The lion and the ox will eat hay. And dust will be the food of the serpent. They will not harm, and they will not kill, on all my holy mountain, says the Lord.
