1 Salmo di Davide, dato al capo de’ Musici IO mi confido nel Signore; Come dite voi all’anima mia: Fuggite al vostro monte, come un uccelletto?	1 [For the choirmaster Of David] In Yahweh I have found refuge. How can you say to me, 'Bird, flee toyour mountain?
2 Certo, ecco gli empi hanno teso l’arco, Hanno accoccate le lor saette in su la corda, Per tirarle contro a’ diritti di cuore, in luogo scuro.	2 'For look, the wicked are drawing their bows, fitting their arrows to the string to shoot honest men fromthe shadows.
3 Quando i fondamenti son ruinati, Che ha fatto il giusto?	3 If the foundations fal to ruin, what can the upright do?'
4 Il Signore è nel Tempio della sua santità; Il trono del Signore è ne’ cieli; I suoi occhi veggono, Le sue palpebre esaminano i figliuoli degli uomini.	4 Yahweh in his holy temple! Yahweh, his throne is in heaven; his eyes watch over the world, his gazescrutinises the children of Adam.
5 Il Signore esamina il giusto, e l’empio; E l’anima sua odia colui che ama la violenza.	5 Yahweh examines the upright and the wicked, the lover of violence he detests.
6 Egli farà piovere in su gli empi Brace, e fuoco, e solfo, E vento tempestoso, per la porzione del lor calice.	6 He will rain down red-hot coals, fire and sulphur on the wicked, a scorching wind wil be their lot.
7 Perciocchè il Signore è giusto; egli ama la giustizia; La sua faccia riguarda l’uomo diritto	7 For Yahweh is upright and loves uprightness, the honest will ever see his face.
