Ezequiel 9

1 El gritó fuertemente a mis oídos: «Acérquense, Castigos de la ciudad, cada uno con su instrumento de exterminio en la mano».	1 Then he cried loud for me to hear: Come, you scourges of the city!
2 Entonces llegaron seis hombres del lado de la puerta superior que mira hacia el norte, cada uno con su instrumento de destrucción en la mano. En medio de ellos había un hombre vestido de lino, con la cartera de escriba en la cintura. Todos entraron y se detuvieron delante del altar de bronce.	2 With that I saw six men coming from the direction of the upper gate which faces the north, each with a destroying weapon in his hand. In their midst was a man dressed in linen, with a writer's case at his waist. They entered and stood beside the bronze altar.
3 La gloria del Dios de Israel se levantó de encima de los querubines sobre los cuales estaba, se dirigió hacia el umbral de la Casa, y llamó al hombre vestido de lino que tenía la cartera de escriba en la cintura.	3 Then he called to the man dressed in linen with the writer's case at his waist,
4 El Señor le dijo: «Recorre toda la ciudad de Jerusalén y marca con una T la frente de los hombres que gimen y se lamentan por todas las abominaciones que se cometen en medio de ella».	4 saying to him: Pass through the city (through Jerusalem) and mark an X on the foreheads of those who moan and groan over all the abominations that are practiced within it.
5 Luego oí que les decía a los otros: «Recorran la ciudad detrás de él, hieran sin una mirada de piedad y sin tener compasión.	5 To the others I heard him say: Pass through the city after him and strike! Do not look on them with pity nor show any mercy!
6 Maten y exterminen a todos, ancianos, jóvenes, niños y mujeres, pero no se acerquen a ninguno que este marcado con la T. Comiencen por mi Santuario». Y comenzaron por los ancianos que estaban delante de la Casa.	6 Old men, youths and maidens, women and children--wipe them out! But do not touch any marked with the X; begin at my sanctuary. So they began with the men (the elders) who were in front of the temple.
7 Después dijo: «Contaminen la Casa y llenen de víctimas los atrios, luego salgan y golpeen en la ciudad».	7 Defile the temple, he said to them, and fill the courts with the slain; then go out and strike in the city.
8 Mientras ellos herían, yo quedé solo y caí con el rostro en tierra. Entonces grité: «¡Ah, Señor! ¿Vas a exterminar todo el resto de Israel, derramando tu furor contra Jerusalén?».	8 As they began to strike, I was left alone. I fell prone, crying out, Alas, Lord GOD! Will you destroy all that is left of Israel when you pour out your fury on Jerusalem?"
9 El me respondió: «La iniquidad de la casa de Israel y de Judá es inmensamente grande; el país está lleno de sangre y la ciudad está colmada de injusticia, porque ellos piensan: «El Señor ha abandonado el país, el Señor no ve nada».	9 He answered me: The sins of the house of Israel are great beyond measure; the land is filled with bloodshed, the city with lawlessness. They think that the LORD has forsaken the land, that he does not see them.
10 Yo tampoco tendrá una mirada de piedad ni me compadeceré, sino que haré recaer sobre ellos su mala conducta».	10 I, however, will not look upon them with pity, nor show any mercy. I will bring down their conduct upon their heads.
11 Entonces el hombre vestido de lino, que tenía la cartera de escriba en la cintura, dio cuenta diciendo: «Hice lo que tú me habías ordenado».	11 Then I saw the man dressed in linen with the writing case at his waist make his report: "I have done as you ordered."
