Ezequiel 38

1 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:	1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia Gog, el príncipe supremo de Mésec y Tubal, en el país de Magog, y profetiza contra él.	2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, the land of Magog, the prince of the head of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy about him.
3 Tú dirás: Así habla el Señor: Aquí estoy contra ti, Gog, príncipe supremo de Mésec y Tubal.	3 And you shall say to him: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of the head of Meshech and Tubal.
4 Yo te haré volver, te pondré garfios en las mandíbulas y te haré salir con todo tu ejército: caballos y jinetes, todos ellos perfectamente equipados, una multitud inmensa, todos con escudos y broqueles, y armados cada uno con su espada.	4 And I will turn you around, and I will place a bit in your jaws. And I will lead you away, with all your army, the horses and the horsemen all clothed in armor, a great multitude, equipped with spears and light shields and swords,
5 Persia, Cus y Put estarán con ellos, todos con escudos y cascos.	5 the Persians, the Ethiopians, and the Libyans with them, all with heavy shields and helmets,
6 Gómer con todos sus escuadrones, Bet Togarmá, en los confines del norte, con todos sus escuadrones, y numerosos pueblos estarán contigo.	6 Gomer, and all his companies, the house of Togarmah, the northern parts, and all his strength, and the many peoples with you.
7 Prepárate y permanece alerta, tú y toda la coalición que se ha concentrado junto a ti, y ponte a mi disposición.	7 Prepare and equip yourself, with all your multitude which has been assembled to you. And you shall be like a commandment to them.
8 Después de muchos días, se te encomendará una misión. Al cabo de los años, tú irás a un país restaurado de una masacre, a una nación congregada de entre pueblos numerosos en las montañas de Israel, que habrán estado en ruinas durante largo tiempo. Una vez que hayan sido sacados de entre los pueblos, todos ellos vivirán confiados.	8 After many days, you will be visited. At the end of the years, you will arrive at the land which was turned back by the sword, and which has been gathered from many peoples to the mountains of Israel that have been continually abandoned. These ones have been led away from the peoples, and all of them will be living confidently within it.
9 Entonces subirás como una tempestad, llegarás como un nubarrón hasta cubrir el país, tú con todos tus escuadrones, y numerosos pueblos contigo.	9 But you will ascend and arrive like a tempest and like a cloud, so that you may cover the land, you and all your companies, and the many peoples with you.
10 Así habla el Señor: Aquel día, los pensamientos acudirán a tu mente y maquinarás un proyecto perverso.	10 Thus says the Lord God: In that day, words will climb into your heart, and you will invent a most wicked plan.
11 Tú dirás: «Voy a subir contra un país abierto, atacaré a gente pacífica que vive confiada en ciudades sin murallas, sin cerrojos ni puertas».	11 And you will say: ‘I will ascend to the land without a wall. I will go to those who are resting and dwelling securely. All these live without a wall; they have no bars or gates.’
12 Tú irás a saquear los despojos, a conquistar un botín y a poner tu mano sobre unas ruinas que se han vuelto a poblar, sobre un pueblo que ha sido reunido de entre las naciones, que se ocupa de su ganado y de sus bienes, y habita en el Ombligo de la Tierra.	12 Thus, you will plunder spoils, and you will take possession of prey, so that you may lay your hand upon those who had been abandoned, and afterwards were restored, and upon a people who were gathered away from the Gentiles, a people who have begun to possess, and to be the inhabitants of, the navel of the earth.
13 Sabá, Dedán, los comerciantes de Tarsis y todos sus traficantes te dirán: «¿Vienes a saquear los despojos? ¿Has concentrado esta multitud para conquistar un botín, para llevarte plata y oro, para obtener ganado y posesiones, y para saquear grandes despojos?».	13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, and all its lions will say to you: ‘Could you have arrived in order to purchase from the spoils? Behold, you have gathered your multitude in order to plunder a prey, so that you may take silver and gold, and carry away equipment and substance, and plunder immeasurable wealth.’
14 Por eso, profetiza, hijo de hombre. Tú le dirás a Gog: Así habla el Señor: Aquel día, cuando mi pueblo Israel viva confiado, ¿no es cierto que tú te movilizarás?	14 Because of this, son of man, prophesy, and you shall say to Gog: Thus says the Lord God: How is it that you do not know of that day, when my people, Israel, will be living in confidence?
15 Vendrás de tu país, de los confines del norte, acompañado de pueblos numerosos, todos montados a caballo, con una enorme multitud y un ejército incontable.	15 And you will advance from your place, from the parts of the north, you and the many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great assembly and an immense army.
16 Subirás contra mi pueblo Israel como un nubarrón, hasta cubrir el país. Esto sucederá al cabo de mucho tiempo: entonces, yo te haré venir contra mi país, para que las naciones me conozcan, cuando por medio de ti, Gog, manifieste mi santidad a la vista de ellas.	16 And you will rise up over my people, Israel, like a cloud, so that you may cover the earth. In the latter days, you will be. And I will lead you over my own land, so that the Gentiles may know me, when I will have been sanctified in you, O Gog, before their eyes.
17 Así habla el Señor: Sí, tú eres aquel de quien yo hablé antiguamente en medio de mis servidores, los profetas de Israel. En aquellos días, durante años, ellos profetizaron que yo te llevaría contra los israelitas.	17 Thus says the Lord God: Therefore, you are the one, about whom I spoke in the days of antiquity, by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in the days of those times that I would lead you over them.
18 Pero aquel día, cuando Gog llegue a la tierra de Israel –oráculo del Señor– estallará mi furor.	18 And this shall be in that day, in the day of the advent of Gog over the land of Israel, says the Lord God: my indignation will rise up in my fury.
19 En mis celos y en el fuego de mi indignación, lo declaro: Sí, aquel día habrá un gran temblor en el suelo de Israel.	19 And I have spoken, in my zeal and in the fire of my wrath, that there shall be a great commotion over the land of Israel, in that day.
20 Temblarán ante mí los peces del mar, los pájaros del cielo, las bestias del campo, todos los reptiles que se arrastran por el suelo y todos los hombres que hay sobre la faz de la tierra. Se desplomarán las montañas, caerán las pendientes escarpadas y todos los muros se derrumbarán por tierra.	20 And before my face there shall be stirred up: the fish of the sea, and the flying things of the air, and the beasts of the field, and every crawling thing that moves across the soil, and all the men who are upon the face of the earth. And the mountains will be overturned, and the hedges will fall, and every wall will fall in ruin to the ground.
21 Convocaré contra Gog toda clase de terrores –oráculo del Señor– y unos volverán la espada contra otros.	21 And I will call for the sword against him on all my mountains, says the Lord God. Each one’s sword will be directed toward his brother.
22 Le haré rendir cuentas por medio de la peste y de la sangre; haré caer una lluvia torrencial, duras piedras de granizo, fuego y azufre, sobre él, sobre sus escuadrones y sobre los numerosos pueblos que estarán con él.	22 And I will judge him by pestilence, and blood, and violent rainstorms, and immense hailstones. I will rain fire and brimstone upon him, and upon his army, and upon the many peoples who are with him.
23 Así manifestaré mi grandeza y mi santidad y me daré a conocer a la vista de numerosas naciones, y ellas sabrán que yo soy el Señor.	23 And I will be magnified and sanctified. And I will be known in the eyes of the many nations. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
