Ezequiel 35

1 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:	1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia la montaña de Seir y profetiza contra ella.	2 “Son of man, set your face against mount Seir, and you shall prophesy about it, and you shall say to it:
3 Tú le dirás: Así habla el Señor: ¡Aquí estoy contra ti, montaña de Seír! Yo extenderé mi mano contra ti y te convertiré en un desierto desolado.	3 Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, mount Seir, and I will extend my hand over you, and I will make you desolate and deserted.
4 Dejaré tus ciudades en ruinas y tú misma serás una desolación. Así sabrás que yo soy el Señor.	4 I will tear down your cities, and you will be deserted. And you shall know that I am the Lord.
5 Porque has mantenido una antigua enemistad y has entregado a los israelitas al filo de la espada, en el día de su desastre, en el día de la expiación final;	5 For you have been a continual adversary, and you have enclosed the sons of Israel, by the hands of the sword, in the time of their affliction, in the time of extreme iniquity.
6 por eso juro por mi vida –oráculo del Señor–: Te convertiré en sangre y la sangre te perseguirá. ¡Te has hecho reo de sangre y la sangre te perseguirá!	6 Because of this, as I live, says the Lord God, I will hand you over to blood, and blood will pursue you. Even though you have hated blood, blood will pursue you.
7 Yo haré de la montaña de Seír un desierto desolado, y extirparé de ella al que va y al que viene.	7 And I will make mount Seir desolate and deserted. And I will take away from it the one who departs and the one who returns.
8 Llenaré sus montes de víctimas: las víctimas de las espada caerán en tus colinas, en tus valles y en todos los cauces de tus ríos.	8 And I will fill up its mountains with its slain. In your hills, and in your valleys, as well as in your torrents, the slain will fall by the sword.
9 Te convertiré en una desolación eterna y tus ciudades no volverán a ser habitadas. Así ustedes sabrán que yo soy el Señor.	9 I will hand you over to everlasting desolations, and your cities will not be inhabited. And you shall know that I am the Lord God.
10 Porque tú dices: «Las dos naciones y los dos territorios me pertenecen: los voy a tomar en posesión», siendo así que el Señor estaba allí,	10 For you have said, ‘Two nations and two lands will be mine, and I will possess them as an inheritance,’ though the Lord was in that place.
11 por eso, juro por mi vida –oráculo del Señor– que voy a obrar con el mismo furor y con el mismo celo con que obraste tú, en tu odio contra ellos, y me daré a conocer a ti cuando te juzgue.	11 Because of this, as I live, says the Lord God, I will act in accord with your own wrath, and in accord with your own zeal, by which you have acted with hatred toward them. And I will be made known by them, when I will have judged you.
12 Entonces sabrás que yo, el Señor, he oído todas las blasfemias que pronunciaste contra las montañas de Israel, cuando dijiste: «¡Están devastadas; nos han sido entregadas como presa!».	12 And you shall know that I, the Lord, have heard all your disgraces, which you have spoken about the mountains of Israel, saying: ‘They are deserted. They have been given to us to devour.’
13 Ustedes me han desafiado con su lengua y han multiplicado sus palabras contra mí, Pero yo he oído todo.	13 And you rose up against me with your mouth, and you disparaged against me with your words. I have heard.
14 Así habla el Señor: Yo te convertiré en una desolación, para alegría de toda la tierra.	14 Thus says the Lord God: When the whole earth will rejoice, I will reduce you to solitude.
15 Así como tú te alegraste cuando quedó desolada la herencia de la casa de Israel, yo haré lo mismo contigo: ¡quedarás desolada, montaña de Seír, igual que todo Edom! Así se sabrá que yo soy el Señor.	15 Just as you have rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, when it was laid waste, so will I act toward you. You will be laid waste, O mount Seir, with all of Idumea. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
