Ezequiel 34

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 ¡Profetiza, hijo de hombre profetiza contra los pastores de Israel! Tú dirás a esos pastores: Así habla el Señor: ¡Ay de los pastores de Israel que se apacientan a sí mismos! ¿Acaso los pastores no deben apacentar el rebaño?	2 'Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them, "Shepherds, theLord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Are not shepherdsmeant to feed a flock?
3 Pero ustedes se alimentan con la leche, se visten con la lana, sacrifican a las ovejas más gordas, y no apacientan el rebaño.	3 Yet you have fed on milk, you have dressed yourselves in wool, you have sacrificed the fattest sheep,but failed to feed the flock.
4 No han fortalecido a la oveja débil, no han curado a la enferma, no han vendado a la herida, no han hecho volver a la descarriada, ni han buscado a la que estaba perdida. Al contrario, las han dominado con rigor y crueldad.	4 You have failed to make weak sheep strong, or to care for the sick ones, or bandage the injured ones.You have failed to bring back strays or look for the lost. On the contrary, you have ruled them cruel y andharshly.
5 Ellas se han dispersado por falta de pastor, y se han convertido en presa de todas las bestias salvajes. Mis ovejas se han dispersado,	5 For lack of a shepherd they have been scattered, to become the prey of al the wild animals; they havebeen scattered.
6 y andan errantes por todas las montañas y por todas las colinas elevadas. ¡Mis ovejas están dispersas por toda la tierra, y nadie se ocupa de ellas ni trata de buscarlas!	6 My flock is astray on every mountain and on every high hil ; my flock has been scattered al over theworld; no one bothers about them and no one looks for them.
7 Por eso, pastores, oigan la palabra del Señor.	7 "Very wel , shepherds, hear the word of Yahweh:
8 Lo juro por mi vida –oráculo del Señor–: Porque mis ovejas han sido expuestas a la depredación y se han convertido en presa de todas las fieras salvajes por falta de pastor; porque mis pastores no cuidan a mis ovejas; porque ellos se apacientan a si mismos, y no a mis ovejas;	8 As I live, I swear it -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- since my flock has been pil aged and for lack of ashepherd is now the prey of every wild animal, since my shepherds have ceased to bother about my flock, sincemy shepherds feed themselves rather than my flock,
9 por eso, pastores, escuchen la palabra del Señor :	9 very wel , shepherds, hear the word of Yahweh:
10 Así habla el Señor: Aquí estoy yo contra los pastores. Yo buscaré a mis ovejas para quitárselas de sus manos, y no les dejaré apacentar mi rebaño. Así los pastores no se apacentarán más a sí mismos. Arrancaré a las ovejas de su boca, y nunca más ellas serán su presa.	10 The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against the shepherds. I shall take my flock out of theircharge and henceforth not al ow them to feed my flock. And the shepherds will stop feeding themselves,because I shal rescue my sheep from their mouths to stop them from being food for them.
11 Porque así habla el Señor: ¡Aquí estoy yo! Yo mismo voy a buscar mi rebaño y me ocuparé de él.	11 "For the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I myself shal take care of my flock and look after it.
12 Como el pastor se ocupa de su rebaño cuando está en medio de sus ovejas dispersas, así me ocuparé de mis ovejas y las libraré de todos los lugares donde se habían dispersado, en un día de nubes y tinieblas.	12 As a shepherd looks after his flock when he is with his scattered sheep, so shal I look after mysheep. I shal rescue them from wherever they have been scattered on the day of clouds and darkness.
13 Las sacaré de entre los pueblos, las reuniré de entre las naciones, las traeré a su propio suelo y las apacentaré sobre las montañas de Israel, en los cauces de los torrentes y en todos los poblados del país.	13 I shal bring them back from the peoples where they are; I shal gather them back from the countriesand bring them back to their own land. I shall pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in althe inhabited parts of the country.
14 Las apacentaré en buenos pastizales y su lugar de pastoreo estará en las montañas altas de Israel. Allí descansarán en un buen lugar de pastoreo, y se alimentarán con ricos pastos sobre las montañas de Israel.	14 I shal feed them in good pasturage; the highest mountains of Israel will be their grazing ground.There they will rest in good grazing grounds; they will browse in rich pastures on the mountains of Israel.
15 Yo mismo apacentaré a mis ovejas y las llevaré a descansar –oráculo del Señor–.	15 I myself shal pasture my sheep, I myself shal give them rest -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
16 Buscaré a la oveja perdida, haré volver a la descarriada, vendaré a la herida y curaré a la enferma, pero exterminará a la que está gorda y robusta. Yo las apacentaré con justicia.	16 I shal look for the lost one, bring back the stray, bandage the injured and make the sick strong. Ishall watch over the fat and healthy. I shall be a true shepherd to them.
17 En cuanto a ustedes, ovejas de mi rebaño, así habla el Señor: Yo voy a juzgar entre oveja y oveja, entre carneros y chivos.	17 "As for you, my sheep, the Lord Yahweh says this: I shall judge between sheep and sheep, betweenrams and he-goats.
18 ¿No les basta con apacentarse en buenos pastizales, que pisotean el resto del pasto? ¿No les basta con beber agua limpia, que enturbian el resto con sus pies?	18 Not content to drink the clearest of the water, you foul the rest with your feet.
19 ¡Así mis ovejas tienen que comer lo que ustedes han pisoteado, y tienen que beber lo que ustedes han enturbiado con sus pies!	19 And my sheep must graze on what your feet have trampled and drink what your feet have fouled.
20 Por eso, así les habla el Señor: Yo mismo voy a juzgar entre la oveja gorda y la oveja flaca.	20 Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: I myself shall judge between the fat sheep and the thin sheep.
21 Porque ustedes han empujado con el costado y con la espalda, y han atacado con los cuernos a las más débiles hasta dispersarlas fuera del pastizal,	21 Since you have jostled with flank and shoulder and butted al the ailing sheep with your horns, untilyou have scattered them outside,
22 yo acudiré en auxilio de mis ovejas y ellas no estarán más expuestas a la depredación: yo juzgaré entre oveja y oveja.	22 I shal come and save my sheep and stop them from being victimised. I shal judge between sheepand sheep.
23 Suscitaré al frente de ellas a un solo pastor, a mi servidor David, y él las apacentará: las apacentará y será su pastor.	23 "I shal raise up one shepherd, my servant David, and put him in charge of them to pasture them; hewil pasture them and be their shepherd.
24 Yo, el Señor, seré su Dios, y mi servidor David será príncipe en medio de ellas. Yo, el Señor, he hablado.	24 I, Yahweh, shal be their God, and my servant David wil be ruler among them. I, Yahweh, havespoken.
25 Yo estableceré para ellos una alianza de paz y haré desaparecer del país a las bestias feroces. Ellos habitarán seguros en el desierto y dormirán en los bosques.	25 I shal make a covenant of peace with them; I shal rid the country of wild animals. They wil be ableto live secure in the desert and go to sleep in the woods.
26 Haré que ellos y los alrededores de mi colina sean una bendición, y haré caer la lluvia a su debido tiempo, una lluvia de bendición.	26 I shal settle them round my hil ; I shall send rain at the proper time; it wil be a rain of blessings.
27 Loa árboles del campo darán sus frutos y la tierra dará sus productos, y ellos vivirán seguros en su propio suelo. Y cuando rompa las barras de su yugo y los libre de las manos de los que los tienen esclavizados, sabrán que yo soy el Señor.	27 The trees of the countryside wil yield their fruit and the soil wil yield its produce; they will be secureon their soil. And they wil know that I am Yahweh when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from theclutches of their slave-masters.
28 Ya no serán presa de las naciones ni los devorarán las bestias salvajes. Vivirán seguros, sin que nada los perturbe.	28 No more wil they be a prey to the nations, no more wil the wild animals of the country devour them.They wil live secure, with no one to frighten them.
29 Y haré brotar para ellos una plantación famosa: no habrá más víctimas del hambre en el país ni tendrán que soportar los insultos de las naciones.	29 I shal make splendid vegetation grow for them; no more wil they suffer from famine in the country;no more will they have to bear the insults of other nations.
30 Así sabrán que yo, el Señor, estoy con ellos, y que ellos son mi Pueblo, la casa de Israel –oráculo del Señor–.	30 So they wil know that I, their God, am with them and that they, the House of Israel, are my people --declares the Lord Yahweh.
31 Ustedes, mis ovejas, son el rebaño humano que yo apaciento, y yo soy su Dios –oráculo del Señor–.	31 And you, my sheep, are the flock of my human pasture, and I am your God -- declares the LordYahweh." '
