1 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:	1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:
2 Hijo de hombre, tú habitas en medio de un pueblo rebelde: ellos tienen ojos para ver, pro no ven, tienen oídos para oír, pero no oyen, porque son un pueblo rebelde.	2 Son of man, you live in the midst of a rebellious house; they have eyes to see but do not see, and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious house.
3 En cuanto a ti, hijo de hombre, prepara tu equipaje como si tu vieras que ir al exilio, y parte en pleno día, a la vista de ellos. Emigrarás del lugar donde te encuentras hacia otro lugar, a la vista de ellos: tal vez así comprendan que son un pueblo rebelde.	3 Now, son of man, during the day while they are looking on, prepare your baggage as though for exile, and again while they are looking on, migrate from where you live to another place; perhaps they will see that they are a rebellious house.
4 Sacarás tu equipaje en pleno día, a la vista de ellos, y saldrás por la tarde, también a la vista de ellos, como salen los deportados.	4 You shall bring out your baggage like an exile in the daytime while they are looking on; in the evening, again while they are looking on, you shall go out like one of those driven into exile;
5 Abrirás un boquete en el muro y saldrás por él, a la vista de ellos.	5 while they look on, dig a hole in the wall and pass through it;
6 Cargarás el equipaje sobre tus espaldas y saldrás cuando sea de noche, cubriéndote el rostro para no ver el país, porque yo te he convertido en un presagio para el pueblo de Israel.	6 while they look on, shoulder the burden and set out in the darkness; cover your face that you may not see the land, for I have made you a sign for the house of Israel.
7 Yo hice exactamente lo que se me había ordenado: saqué mi equipaje en pleno día como quien parte para el exilio, y por la tarde abrí un boquete en el muro con la mano. Salí cuando estaba oscuro y cargué el equipaje sobre mis espaldas, a la vista de ellos.	7 I did as I was told. During the day I brought out my baggage as though it were that of an exile, and at evening I dug a hole through the wall with my hand and, while they looked on, set out in the darkness, shouldering my burden.
8 A la mañana, la palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:	8 Then, in the morning, the word of the LORD came to me:
9 Hijo de hombre, ¿no te ha preguntado la casa de Israel, ese pueblo rebelde, qué es lo que estás haciendo?	9 Son of man, did not the house of Israel, that rebellious house, ask you what you were doing?
10 Diles: Así habla el Señor: Este oráculo se refiere al príncipe que está en Jerusalén y a todo el pueblo de Israel que vive en medio de ella.	10 Tell them: Thus says the Lord GOD: This oracle concerns Jerusalem and the whole house of Israel within it.
11 Diles también: Yo soy un presagio para ustedes. Lo mismo que yo hice se hará con ellos: serán deportados e irán al exilio.	11 I am a sign for you: as I have done, so shall it be done to them; as captives they shall go into exile.
12 El príncipe que está en medio de ellos cargará el equipaje sobre sus espaldas durante la noche, y saldrá por el boquete que abrirán en el muro para hacerlo salir; y él se cubrirá el rostro, para no ver el país.	12 The prince who is among them shall shoulder his burden and set out in darkness, going through a hole that he has dug in the wall, and covering his face lest he be seen by anyone.
13 Yo tenderé mi red sobre él y él quedará preso en mi trampa. Lo llevará a Babilonia, la tierra de los caldeos, pero no la verá y morirá allí.	13 But I will spread my net over him, and he shall be taken in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon, into the land of the Chaldeans--but he shall not see it--and there he shall die.
14 Y a todos los que lo rodean, a su guardia y a todas sus tropas, los dispersaré a todos los vientos y desenvainaré la espada detrás de ellos.	14 All his retinue, his aides, and his troops I will scatter in every direction, and pursue them with the sword.
15 Y cuando los disperse entre las naciones y los disemine por los países, sabrán que yo soy el Señor.	15 Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them over foreign lands.
16 Pero dejaré que un pequeño número de ellos escapen de la espada, del hambre y de la peste, para que cuenten todas sus abominaciones entre las naciones adonde vayan: así se sabrá que yo soy el Señor.	16 Yet I will leave a few of them to escape the sword, famine and pestilence, so that they may tell of all their abominations among the nations to which they will come; thus they shall know that I am the LORD.
17 El Señor me dirigió su palabra en estos términos:	17 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:
18 Hijo de hombre, comerás tu pan con estremecimiento y beberás tu agua con inquietud y ansiedad.	18 Son of man, eat your bread trembling, and drink your water shaking with anxiety.
19 Y dirás a la población del país: Así habla el Señor a los habitantes de Jerusalén que viven en la tierra de Israel: Ustedes comerán su pan con ansiedad y beberán su agua con terror, para que el país quede horrorizado porque está lleno de violencia de todos sus habitantes.	19 Then say to the people of the land: Thus says the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem (to the land of Israel): They shall eat their bread in anxiety and drink their water in horror, that their land may be emptied of the violence of all its inhabitants that now fills it.
20 Las ciudades habitadas quedarán en ruinas y el país se convertirá en un desierto: así ustedes sabrán que yo soy el Señor.	20 Inhabited cities shall be in ruins, and the land shall be a waste; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.
21 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:	21 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:
22 Hijo de hombre, ¿qué significa ese refrán que se escucha en la tierra de Israel: «Pasan los días y no se cumple ninguna visión»?	22 Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel: "The days drag on, and no vision ever comes to anything"?
23 Tú diles, en cambio: Así habla el Señor: Yo acabaré con este refrán y no se lo repetirá más en Israel. Diles más bien: Se acercan los días en que toda visión se cumplirá;	23 Say to them therefore: Thus says the Lord GOD: I will put an end to this proverb; they shall never quote it again in Israel. Rather, say to them: The days are at hand, and also the fulfillment of every vision.
24 ya no habrá más visiones ilusorias ni predicciones engañosas en medio de la casa de Israel,	24 There shall no longer be any false visions or deceitful divinations within the house of Israel, because it is I, the LORD, who will speak.
25 porque yo, el Señor, diré lo que tenga que decir, y la palabra que pronuncie se cumplirá sin demora. Sí, en vida de ustedes, pueblo rebelde, pronunciaré una palabra y la cumpliré –oráculo del Señor–.	25 Whatever I speak is final, and it shall be done without further delay. In your days, rebellious house, whatever I speak I will bring about, says the Lord GOD.
26 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:	26 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:
27 Hijo de hombre, el pueblo de Israel dice: «Las visiones que este tiene van para largo; él profetiza para un futuro lejano».	27 Son of man, listen to the house of Israel saying, "The vision he sees is a long way off; he prophesies of the distant future!"
28 Por eso, diles: Así habla el Señor: En adelante, todas mis palabras se cumplirán sin demora; lo que yo diga se realizará –oráculo del Señor–.	28 Say to them therefore: Thus says the Lord GOD: None of my words shall be delayed any longer; whatever I speak is final, and it shall be done, says the Lord GOD.
