Jeremías 30

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Palabra que llegó a Jeremías de parte del Señor, en estos términos:	1 The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, as follows,
2 Así habla el Señor, el Dios de Israel: Escribe en un libro todas las palabras que yo te he dirigido,	2 'Yahweh, God of Israel, says this, "Write for yourself in a book al the words I have spoken to you.
3 porque llegarán los días –oráculo del Señor– en que cambiaré la suerte de mi pueblo Israel y Judá –dice el Señor– y los haré volver al país que he dado a sus padres, y ellos lo poseerán.	3 For look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shal bring back the captives of my peopleIsrael (and Judah), Yahweh says. I shall make them come back and take possession of the country I gave totheir ancestors." '
4 Estas son las palabras que el Señor dirigió a Israel y a Judá:	4 These are the words Yahweh spoke about Israel (and Judah):
5 Así habla el Señor: Hemos oído un grito de terror, ¡es el pánico y no la paz!	5 Yahweh says this: We have heard a cry of panic, of terror, not of peace.
6 Averigüen y vean si puede un varón dar a luz. ¿Por qué, entonces, veo a todos los hombres con las manos en las caderas como una parturienta? ¿Por qué todos los rostros se han puesto lívidos?	6 Now ask and see: can a man bear children? Then why do I see each man with his hands on his loinslike a woman in labour? Why has every face grown pale?
7 ¡Ay! Porque es grande aquel Día, y no hay otro igual. Es un tiempo de angustia para Jacob, pero él se salvará de la angustia.	7 Disaster! This is the great day, no other like it: a time of distress for Jacob, though he will be savedfrom it.
8 Aquel día –oráculo del Señor de los ejércitos– yo quebraré el yugo de su cuello y romperé sus ataduras. Ya no servirán a extranjeros,	8 (That day, Yahweh Sabaoth declares, I shal break the yoke now on your neck and snap your chains;and foreigners wil enslave you no more,
9 sino que servirán al Señor, su Dios, y a David, su rey, que yo les suscitaré.	9 but Israel and Judah wil serve Yahweh their God, and David their king whom I shal raise up for them.)
10 ¡Y tú no temas, servidor mío Jacob, –oráculo del Señor– no te espantes, Israel! Porque yo te salvaré de un país lejano, y a tu descendencia, del país de su cautiverio. Jacob volverá y vivirá en calma, tranquilo y sin que nadie lo perturbe.	10 So do not be afraid, my servant Jacob, Yahweh declares, Israel, do not be alarmed: for look, I shalrescue you from distant countries and your descendants from the country where they are captive. Jacob wilreturn and be at peace, secure, with no one to trouble him.
11 porque yo estoy contigo –oráculo del Señor– para salvarte. Sí, yo aniquilaré a todas las naciones entre las cuales te había dispersado, pero a ti no te aniquilaré: te corregiré con equidad, pero no te dejaré impune.	11 For I am with you to save you, Yahweh declares, I shal make an end of all the nations where I havedriven you, but I shall not make an end of you, only discipline you in moderation, not to let you go quiteunpunished.
12 Porque así habla el Señor: ¡Tu herida es incurable, irremediable tu llaga!	12 Yes, Yahweh says this: Your wound is incurable, your injury past healing.
13 Nadie defiende tu causa, no hay remedio para tu herida, tú ya no tienes cura.	13 There is no one to plead your cause; for an ulcer there are remedies, but for you no cure at al .
14 Todos tus amantes te han olvidado, no se interesan por ti. Porque yo te he golpeado como golpea un enemigo, con un castigo cruel, a causa de tu gran iniquidad, porque tus pecados eran graves.	14 Al your lovers have forgotten you, they look for you no more. Yes, I have struck you as an enemystrikes, with cruel punishment (because of your great guilt and countless sins).
15 ¿Por qué gritas a causa de tu herida, de tu dolor incurable? A causa de tu gran iniquidad, porque tus pecados eran graves, yo te hice todo esto.	15 Why cry out because of your wound? Your pain is incurable! Because of your great guilt andcountless sins, I have treated you like this.
16 Pero los que te devoran serán devorados y todos tus adversarios irán al cautiverio; los que te despojan serán despojados y a los que te saquean, los entregaré al saqueo.	16 But al those who devoured you wil be devoured, al your enemies, al , go into captivity, those whodespoiled you will be despoiled, and al who pillaged you be pil aged.
17 Sí, yo cicatrizaré tu llaga y te sanaré de todas tus heridas –oráculo del Señor– porque te llaman «La Expulsada, esa Sión, de la que nadie se preocupa».	17 For I shal restore you to health and heal your wounds, Yahweh declares, you who used to be called'Outcast', 'Zion for whom no one cares'.
18 Así habla el Señor: Sí, yo cambiaré la suerte de las carpas del Jacob y tendré compasión de sus moradas; la ciudad será reconstruida sobre sus escombros y el palacio se levantará en su debido lugar.	18 Yahweh says this: Look, I shal restore the tents of Jacob and take pity on his dwel ings: the town wilbe rebuilt on its mound, the stronghold where it ought to stand.
19 De allí saldrán cantos de alabanza y risas estridentes. Los multiplicaré y no disminuirán, los glorificaré y no serán menoscabados.	19 From them wil come thanksgiving and shouts of joy. I shal make them increase, they wil notdecrease; I shal make them honoured, no more to be humbled.
20 Sus hijos serán como en los tiempos antiguos, su comunidad será estable ante mí y yo castigaré a todos sus opresores.	20 Their sons wil be as once they were, their community fixed firmly before me, and I shal punish alltheir oppressors.
21 Su jefe será uno de ellos y de en medio de ellos saldrá su soberano. Yo lo haré acercarse, y él avanzará hacia mí, porque si no, ¿quién se atrevería a avanzar hacia mí? –oráculo del Señor–	21 Their prince wil be one of their own, their ruler come from their own people, and I shal permit him toapproach me freely; for who, otherwise, would be so bold as to approach me, Yahweh demands?
22 Ustedes serán mi Pueblo y yo seré su Dios.	22 You wil be my people and I shal be your God.
23 ¡Miren el huracán del Señor, ha estallado el furor, arrecia la tempestad, gira sobre la cabeza de los malvados!	23 Look, Yahweh's hurricane, his wrath, bursts out, a roaring hurricane, to burst on the heads of thewicked;
24 El ardor de la ira del Señor no se volverá atrás hasta haber ejecutado y cumplido los designios de su corazón. Al término de estos días, ustedes lo entenderán.	24 Yahweh's burning anger wil not turn aside until he has performed, has carried out, what he has inmind. In the final days, you wil understand this.
