Isaías 46

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 ¡Bel se doblega, Nebo se desploma! Sus estatuas han sido puestas sobre bestias y animales de carga; los ídolos que ustedes llevaban en andas son una carga para el animal agotado.	1 Bel is crouching, Nebo cowering, their idols are being put on animals, on beasts of burden, the loadsyou have been carrying are a burden to a weary beast.
2 ¡Se desploman, se doblegan todos juntos, no pueden librar al que los lleva y ellos mismos van a la cautividad!	2 They are cowering and crouching together, no one can save this burden, they themselves have goneinto captivity.
3 ¡Escúchenme, casa de Jacob y todo el resto de la casa de Israel, ustedes, que fueron llevados desde el seno materno, cargados por mí desde antes de nacer!	3 Listen to me, House of Jacob, al who remain of the House of Israel, whom I have carried since thewomb, whom I have supported since you were conceived.
4 Hasta que envejezcan, yo seré siempre el mismo, y hasta que encanezcan, yo los sostendré. Yo he obrado, y me haré cargo de eso: los sostendré y los libraré.	4 Until your old age I shal be the same, until your hair is grey I shall carry you. As I have done, so I shalsupport you, I myself shall carry and shall save you.
5 ¿A quién me van a asemejar o igualar? ¿Con quién me van a comparar, que sea semejante a mí?	5 With whom can you compare me, equate me, to whom can you liken me, making equals of us?
6 Los que malgastan el oro de sus bolsas y pesan la plata en una balanza, contratan a un orfebre para que haga un dios, lo adoran y se postran ante él;	6 They lavish gold from their purses and weigh out silver on the scales. They engage a goldsmith tomake a god, then bow low and actually adore!
7 lo llevan sobre sus hombros, lo sostienen, lo ponen en su sitio, y allí se queda, sin poder moverse de su lugar: por más que se le grite, él no responde, ni puede salvar de su angustia.	7 They lift it on their shoulders and carry it, and put it down where it is meant to stand, so that it nevermoves from the spot. You may cry out to it in distress, it never replies, it never saves anyone in trouble.
8 ¡Recuerden esto, y compréndanlo bien; piénsenlo en su corazón, rebeldes!	8 Remember this and stand firm; rebels, look into your hearts.
9 Recuerden lo que sucedió antiguamente; porque yo soy Dios, y no hay otro, soy Dios, y no hay nadie igual a mí.	9 Remember the things that happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and thereis none like me.
10 Yo anuncio el final desde el comienzo, y desde mucho antes, lo que aún no ha sucedido; yo digo: «Mi designio se cumplirá y haré todo lo que me agrade».	10 From the beginning I revealed the future, in advance, what has not yet occurred. I say: My purposewil come about, I shal do whatever I please;
11 Llamo del Oriente al ave de rapiña, y de un país lejano, al hombre de mi designio. Así hablé, y así haré que suceda. tracé un plan, y lo voy a ejecutar.	11 I cal a bird of prey from the east, my man predestined, from a distant land. What I have said, I shaldo, what I have planned, I shal perform.
12 Escúchenme, duros de corazón, ustedes, los que están lejos de la justicia:	12 Listen to me, you hard-hearted people far removed from saving justice:
13 yo hago que se acerque mi justicia –¡ella no está lejos! – y mi salvación no tardará. Pondré la salvación en Sión y mi esplendor será para Israel.	13 I am bringing my justice nearer, it is not far away, my salvation wil not delay. I shal place mysalvation in Zion and my glory in Israel.
