1 Oráculo sobre el Desierto Marítimo. Como torbellinos pasando por el Négueb vienen del desierto, del país temible.	1 Oracle on the wastelands by the sea: Like whirlwinds sweeping in waves through the Negeb, there comes from the desert, from the fearful land,
2 Una visión dura me ha sido mostrada: El saqueador saquea y el devastador devasta. Sube Elam; asedia, Media. He hecho cesar todo suspiro.	2 A cruel sight, revealed to me: the traitor betrays, the despoiler spoils. "Go up, Elam; besiege, O Media; I will put an end to all groaning!"
3 Por eso mis riñones se han llenado de espanto. En mí hacen presa dolores, como dolores de parturienta. Estoy pasmado sin poder oír, me estremezco sin ver.	3 Therefore my loins are filled with anguish, pangs have seized me like those of a woman in labor; I am too bewildered to hear, too dismayed to look.
4 He perdido el sentido, escalofríos me sobrecogen. El crepúsculo de mis anhelos se me convierte en sobresalto.	4 My mind reels, shuddering assails me; My yearning for twilight has turned into dread.
5 Se prepara la mesa, se despliega el mantel, se come y se bebe. - ¡Levantaos, jefes, engrasad el escudo!	5 They set the table, spread out the rugs; they eat, they drink. Rise up, O princes, oil the shield!
6 Pues así me ha dicho el Señor: «Anda, pon un vigía que vea y avise.	6 For thus says my Lord to me: Go, station a watchman, let him tell what he sees.
7 Cuando vea carros, troncos de caballos, jinetes en burro, jinetes en camello, preste atención, mucha atención».	7 If he sees a chariot, a pair of horses, Someone riding an ass, someone riding a camel, Then let him pay heed, very close heed.
8 Y exclamó el vigía: «Sobre la atalaya, mi señor, estoy firme a lo largo del día, y en mi puesto de guardia estoy firme noches enteras.	8 Then the watchman cried, "On the watchtower, O my Lord, I stand constantly by day; And I stay at my post through all the watches of the night.
9 Pues bien: por ahí vienen jinetes, troncos de caballos». Replicó y dijo: «¡Cayó, cayó Babilonia, y todas las estatuas de sus dioses se han estrellado contra el suelo!»	9 Here he comes now: a single chariot, a pair of horses; He calls out and says, 'Fallen, fallen is Babylon, And all the images of her gods are smashed to the ground.'"
10 Trilla mía y parva de mi era: lo que he oído de parte de Yahveh Sebaot, Dios de Israel, os lo he anunciado.	10 O my people who have been threshed, beaten on my threshing floor! What I have heard from the LORD of hosts, The God of Israel, I have announced to you.
11 Oráculo sobre Duma. Alguien me grita desde Seír: «Centinela, ¿qué hay de la noche? centinela, ¿qué hay de la noche?»	11 Oracle on Edom: They call to me from Seir, "Watchman, how much longer the night? Watchman, how much longer the night?"
12 Dice el centinela: «Se hizo de mañana y también de noche. Si queréis preguntar, volveos, venid».	12 The watchman replies, "Morning has come, and again night. If you will ask, ask; come back again."
13 Oráculo en la estepa. En el bosque, en la estepa, haced noche, caravanas de dedanitas.	13 Oracle on Arabia: In the thicket in the nomad country spend the night, O caravans of Dedanites.
14 Al encuentro del sediento llevad agua, habitantes del país de Temá; salid con pan al encuentro del fugitivo.	14 Meet the thirsty, bring them water; you who dwell in the land of Tema, greet the fugitives with bread.
15 Pues de las espadas huyen, de la espada desnuda, del arco tendido, de la pesadumbre de la guerra.	15 They flee from the sword, from the whetted sword; From the taut bow, from the fury of battle.
16 Pues así me ha dicho el Señor: «Al cabo de un año como año de jornalero se habrá consumido toda la gloria de Quedar.	16 For thus says the Lord to me: In another year, like those of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar shall come to an end.
17 Del resto de los arqueros, de los paladines, de los bravos de los hijos de Quedar, quedarán pocos, porque Yahveh, Dios de Israel, lo ha dicho».	17 Few of Kedar's stalwart archers shall remain, for the LORD, the God of Israel, has spoken.
