Apocalissi 6

BIBBIA VOLGARE	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 E vidi che l'agnello avea aperto uno delli sette sigilli; udii uno delli quattro animali; disse con voce di tuono: vieni e vedi.	1 And I saw that the Lamb had opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures, as it were the voice of thunder, saying: Come, and see.
2 E vidi; ed ecco, un cavallo bianco; e quel che sedeva sopra quello, aveva uno arco; e a lui è data una corona, e uscì il vincitore per vincere.	2 And I saw: and behold a white horse, and he that sat on him had a bow, and there was a crown given him, and he went forth conquering that he might conquer.
3 E come avea aperto il secondo sigillo, udii il secondo animale; disse: vieni e vedi.	3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature, saying: Come, and see.
4 E uscì fuori un altro cavallo rosso; e quello che sedeva sopra questo, fu dato a quello, acciò ch' egli tollesse pace della terra, e che gli uomini si uccidessero l'uno l' altro; e dato è a quello un coltello grande.	4 And there went out another horse that was red: and to him that sat thereon, it was given that he should take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another, and a great sword was given to him.
5 E come avea aperto il terzo sigillo, udii il terzo animale che diceva: vieni e vedi. Ed ecco, un cavallo negro; e quel che sedeva sopra quello avea una bilancia nella sua mano.	5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying: Come, and see. And behold a black horse, and he that sat on him had a pair of scales in his hand.
6 E udii come una voce in mezzo de' [quattro] animali, dicenti: due libbre di frumento un denaro, e sei libbre di orzo denaro uno, e il vino e l'olio non guastare.	6 And I heard as it were a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying: Two pounds of wheat for a penny, and thrice two pounds of barley for a penny, and see thou hurt not the wine and the oil.
7 E come aveva aperto il quarte sigillo, udii la voce del quarto animale, dicente: vieni e vedi.	7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature, saying: Come, and see.
8 Ed ecco, un cavallo pallido; e quel che sedeva sopra quello, il suo nome è La morte; e seguitavalo l'inferno; ed è data a quello la potestà sopra le quattro parti della terra, uccidere col coltello, con la fame e con la morte e con le bestie della terra.	8 And behold a pale horse, and he that sat upon him, his name was Death, and hell followed him. And power was given to him over the four parts of the earth, to kill with sword, with famine, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
9 E come aveva aperto il quinto sigillo, vidi sotto l'altare (di Dio) le anime di quelli che sono stati morti per la parola di Dio, e per la testimonianza che avevano.	9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held.
10 E gridavano con gran voce, dicenti : o Signor santo e vero, insino quando non giudichi, e non fai vendetta, il sangue nostro di quelli li quali àbitano in terra?	10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Lord (holy and true) dost thou not judge and revenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 E sono date a tutti vesti bianche; e fulli detto, ch' elli riposassero ancora un poco di tempo, insino che si compiesse il numero de' conservi suoi e loro fratelli, li quali son di esser uccisi come etiam quelli.	11 And white robes were given to every one of them one; and it was said to them, that they should rest for a little time, till their fellow servants, and their brethren, who are to be slain, even as they, should be filled up.
12 E vidi come avea aperto il sigillo sesto; ed ecco che fu fatto un gran terremoto, e lo sole fatto è nigro come sacco di cilicio, e la luna tutta fatta come sangue.	12 And I saw, when he had opened the sixth seal, and behold there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair: and the whole moon became as blood:
13 E le stelle cascorono sopra la terra, come lo fico manda fuori li suoi primi fichi, quando si move il gran vento.	13 And the stars from heaven fell upon the earth, as the fig tree casteth its green figs when it is shaken by a great wind:
14 E il cielo si andò come libro involto; e tutti li monti e le isole sono mossi de' luoghi suoi.	14 And the heaven departed as a book folded up: and every mountain, and the islands were moved out of their places.
15 E li re della terra e li principi e li tribuni e li ricchi e forti, e ogni servo e libero, si ascose nelle spelonche e nelle pietre de' monti.	15 And the kings of the earth, and the princes, and tribunes, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of mountains:
16 E dissero alli monti e alle pietre: cascate sopra di noi, e nascondete noi dalla faccia di quel che siede sopra il trono, e dall' ira dell' agnello.	16 And they say to the mountains and the rocks: Fall upon us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth upon the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 Conciosia che verrà il di grande della ira di loro; e chi poterà stare?	17 For the great day of their wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand?
