Osea 7

1 Conciosia cosa ch' io volessi dare sanitade a Israel, allora si rivelò la malvagitade di Efraim, e la malizia di Samaria; però che hanno adoperato (e commesso) bugìa; ed entrovvi lo ladro, e spogliò li ladroncelli di fuori.	1 When I was willing to heal Israel, the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the malice of Samaria, for they had been manufacturing lies. And the thief steals from inside, the robber from outside.
2 Acciò che forse non dicano nello loro cuore, che ricordino a me tutta la malizia loro; ora li hanno attorniati li loro trovamenti; dinanzi alla faccia mia sono fatti.	2 And, so that they may not say in their hearts that I am the one who has called to mind all of their wickedness: now their own inventions have encircled them. These things have happened in my presence.
3 Allegronno lo re per la loro malizia, e con loro mentiri allegrarono li principi.	3 The king has rejoiced at their wickedness, and the leaders have rejoiced in their lies.
4 Tutti commettono adulterio, quasi come uno forno acceso dal cocitore; e la città si riposò uno poco per lo mescolamento del fermento, insino a tanto che si fermentasse tutto (cioè che sì lievitasse).	4 They are all adulterers; like an oven heating up before baking, the city rested a little before the leaven was mixed in, until the whole was leavened.
5 Nelli di dello nostro re cominciarono li prìncipi a impazzire per lo vino; e distese la sua mano colli schernitori (e colli beffardi i quali s'appiccarono insieme).	5 On the day of our king, the leaders began to be mad with wine; he extended his hand with those who fabricate illusions.
6 E lo suo cuore era come uno forno (quando arde), però che (dì e notte) poneva loro le insidie; colui che li coceva, tutta la notte sì dormio infino. alla mattina; ed è acceso come la fiamma del fuoco.	6 For they have used their heart like an oven, while he laid snares for them; he slept through the night baking them, and by morning he himself was heated like a burning fire.
7 E tutti sono scaldati a modo d' uno forno, e divorarono (tutti) li loro giudici; e tutti li loro re caddono in terra; niuno di loro è che gridi a me.	7 They have all become hot like an oven, and they have devoured their judges. All their kings have fallen. There is no one who calls to me among them.
8 Efraim, esso si mescolava nelli popoli; ed Efraim fu fatto come pane che si fa sotto la cenere, lo quale non si volge.	8 Ephraim himself has been mingled with the nations. Ephraim has become like bread, baked under ashes, that has not been turned over.
9 Li stranieri si mangiarono la sua fortezza, e loro non lo seppono; e ancora li cani furono messi addosso a lui, ed egli ne fue ignorante.	9 Strangers have devoured his strength, and he did not know it. And grey hairs also have spread across him, and he is ignorant of it.
10 E la superbia d' Israel sì s'aumilierae nella sua faccia; e pure non ritornarono al loro Signore Iddio, e non (si ricercarono nè) addomandarono lui per tutte queste cose.	10 And the pride of Israel will be brought low before his face, for they have not returned to the Lord their God, nor have they sought him in all of this.
11 E fue fatto Efraim quasi come una colomba sedotta che non hae cuore; elli chiamavano Egitto, e andàronsene a quelli di Siria.	11 And Ephraim has become like a pigeon that has been led astray, not having a heart; for they called upon Egypt, they went to the Assyrians.
12 E quando saranno andati, io spanderò sopra loro la mia rete; e tirerolli a modo che si tirano li uccelli; io li percoterò secondo l'udito della loro compagnia.	12 And when they will set out, I will spread my net over them. I will pull them down like the birds of the sky; I will cut them down in accordance with the reports of their meetings.
13 Guai a loro, però che si partirono da me; saranno vastati, però che hanno prevaricato contro a me; e io li ricomperai, e loro parlarono contro a me le bugie.	13 Woe to them, for they have withdrawn from me. They will waste away because they have been dishonest with me. And I redeemed them, and they have spoken lies against me.
14 E non chiamarono a me nello loro cuore, ma urlavano nelli loro letti; ruminavano sopra lo grano e sopra lo vino; loro si partirono da me.	14 And they have not cried out to me in their heart, but they howled on their beds. They have obsessed about wheat and wine; they have withdrawn from me.
15 Io sì gli avea ammaestrati e confortati, e diedi forza allo loro braccio; e pensarono malizia contro a me.	15 And I have educated them, and I have reinforced their arms; and they have imagined evil against me.
16 E ritornarono per essere sanza giogo; e sono fatti come uno arco pieno d'inganni; li loro principi cadranno nello coltello, per lo furore della lingua loro. E queste sono le beffe che sono fatte di loro nella terra d' Egitto.	16 They returned so that they might be without a yoke. They have become like a deceitful bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword because of the madness of their words. This is their derision in the land of Egypt.
