Osea 10

1 Israel sì è una vite fronduta, e lo frutto è a lui eguale; egli moltiplicoe gli altari secondo la moltitudine del suo frutto; e secondo l'abbondanza della terra sua soprabbondò d' idolatrie.	1 Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
2 Lo cuore loro sì è (ora) diviso, e ora morranno; egli spezzerà le loro idolatrie, e spoglierà li loro altari.	2 Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.
3 Però che diranno: noi non abbiamo re, (noi non doviamo orare) e non temiamo Iddio; e lo re che farà a noi?	3 For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us?
4 Parlate le parole della visione sanza utilitade, e farete lo patto; e l' amaritudine germinerà come lo giudicio sopra li solchi del campo.	4 They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.
5 Li abitatori di Samaria lavorarono colle vacche di Betaven; però che il popolo suo pianse contro a lui, e li suoi guardiani piansono sopra lui nella gloria sua, però che passò da lui.	5 The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Beth-aven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.
6 Ma egli ancora certamente fu portato per dono in Assur allo re vendicatore; la confusione piglierà Efraim, e Israel sarà confuso nella sua volontà.	6 It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
7 Samaria fece passare lo suo re, quasi come la spuma sopra l' acqua.	7 As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water.
8 E saranno disperse le altezze dell' idolo, e lo peccato d' Israel; le spine e' tribuli ascenderanno sopra l'altare loro, e diranno a' monti: coprite noi; e alli colli diranno lasciatevi cadere sopra noi.	8 The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.
9 Nel tempo di Gabaa peccoe Israel, e ivi istettono; in Gabaa non gli piglierà battaglia sopra li figliuoli di malvagitade.	9 O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.
10 E gastigherolli secondo lo mio desiderio; li popoli adunerannosi sopra loro, quando saranno ripresi per le loro diverse malvagitadi.	10 It is in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows.
11 Efraim sì è vitella ammaestrata di amare la tritatura, e io passai sopra la bellezza del suo collo; io salirò sopra Efraim, Giuda arerà e Iacob romperà li solchi.	11 And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.
12 Seminatevi nella veritade (e con giustizia) e mietete nella bocca della misericordia, e rinnovate a voi lo campo nuovo; egli è tempo a domandare lo Signore, quando averete trovato chi v' insegni giustizia.	12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
13 Voi avete arato la malvagitade, e mieteste la empietade, e manucaste le biade di bugia; però che ti se' confidato nelle tue vie, nella (tua) moltitudine delli tuoi forti.	13 Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
14 Lo tumulto (e lo rumore) si leverà nel tuo popolo, e tutte le tue armadure saranno guastate, sì come guastato è Salmana dalla sua casa, il quale giudicò Baal nel dì della battaglia; e la madre sopra li figliuoli è allisa.	14 Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Beth-arbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children.
15 Così fece a voi Betel, dalla faccia delle vostre malvagitadi.	15 So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.
