Isaia 19

1 Lo carico di Egitto. Ecco lo Signore salirà sopra uno nuvolo leggiero, ed entrerà in Egitto. Li idoli di Egitto si moveranno dalla faccia sua, e lo cuore li mancherà nel mezzo di lui, cioè di Egitto.	1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
2 E farò levarsi li Egizii contro li Egizii, e l'uno uomo inverso l'altro combatterà contro al suo fratello e contro al suo amico, e le città contro le città, e lo reame contro allo reame.	2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
3 E lo spirito di Egitto sarà dirotto nelle sue interiora, e traboccherò lo suo consiglio; e addomanderanno li suoi idoli e li suoi indovini e li loro incantatori.	3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
4 E darò Egitto nelle mani delli signori crudeli, e lo forte re averà signoria sopra di loro, dice lo Signore delli eserciti.	4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
5 E l'acqua del mare si seccherà, e il fiume sarà desolato, e seccherassi.	5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
6 E li fiumi verranno meno; e li rivi de' campi si seccheranno; lo calamo e lo giunco infracideranno.	6 And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.
7 Lo letto del fiume sarà spogliato (cioè uno fiume molto abbondevole di roba, e li rivi) della sua fonte; e ogni semente bagnata si seccherà, e diventerà arida, e non sarà più.	7 The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.
8 E li pescatori si doglieranno, e piagneranno tutti quelli che pongono l' amo nel fiume, e [li] spandenti le reti sopra la faccia delle acque infracideranno.	8 The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
9 E quelli che adoperavano lo lino saranno confusi, ordenti e tessenti le cose sottili.	9 Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.
10 E li suoi rivi sì diventeranno aridi; e tutti quelli che facevano vivai (ovver gorghi) per pigliare li pesci.	10 And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.
11 Li stolti principi di Taneo (cioè di quella contrada) e li savi consiglieri di Faraone diedono lo consiglio sciocco (e stolto senza senno). Or come direte a Faraone: io sono figliuolo di savi uomini, e io sono figliuolo di re antichi?	11 Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellers of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
12 Dove sono li tuoi savi? Annuncino, e dicano a te quello che ha pensato sopra Egitto [lo Signore delli esèrciti].	12 Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.
13 Li principi di Taneo sono fatti stolti, e li principi di Menfi sono marciti, hanno ingannato lo Egitto, lo angolo delli suoi populi (in ogni luogo).	13 The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.
14 Lo Signore nesedò nel mezzo di lui lo spirito della vertigine; e feceno errare Egitto in ogni opera sua, come erra lo ebrio e lo vomitante.	14 The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
15 E in Egitto non sarà opera che faccia capo nè coda, ritorta e refrenata.	15 Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.
16 E in quello die sarà Egitto quasi come femmine; e maraviglierannosi e temeranno dalla faccia della commozione della mano di Dio delli esèrciti, la quale egli hae mossa sopra di lui.	16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.
17 E la terra di Giuda sarà in paura a Egitto; ogni uomo che si sarà ricordato di lui (cioè di Egitto) averà paura della faccia del consiglio del Signore delli esèrciti, lo quale consiglio egli pensò sopra lui.	17 And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.
18 In quello dì saranno in Egitto cinque cittadi, che parleranno la lingua Cananea, e che giureranno per lo Signore delli esèrciti; e l' una sarà chiamata Città del sole.	18 In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.
19 In quello dì sarà uno altare di Dio nel mezzo della terra di Egitto, e lo titolo del Signore a lato al termine suo	19 In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
20 e sarà per segno e per testimonio al Signore delli eserciti nella terra di Egitto. E grideranno a Dio per la faccia del tribulante, e manderà loro lo salvatore e lo combattitore, lo quale liberi loro.	20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.
21 E lo Signore sarà conosciuto da Egitto, e quelli di Egitto lo conosceranno; e in quello [di] celebreranno con ostie e con doni; e faranno li voti a Dio, e compierannoli.	21 And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.
22 E lo Signore percuoterà Egitto con grande piaga, e saneragli, e (quelli di Egitto) ritorneranno (e umilierannosi) a lui; e placherassi lo Signore a loro, e saneragli.	22 And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.
23 In quello dì sarà la via di Egitto a quelli di Siria, e quelli di Siria entreranno in Egitto, e quelli di Egitto in Assiria, e quelli di Egitto serviranno a quelli di Assur.	23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
24 In quello dì sarà Israel per terzo da quelli di Egitto e da quelli di Siria; la benedizione sarà nel mezzo della terra,	24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
25 a cui lo Signore delli esèrciti benedisse, dicendo: benedetto sia il popolo mio di Egitto, e le operazioni delle mie mani (sia) a quelli di Assur; e a quelli d' Israel la mia eredità.	25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
