1 Once, when Peter and John were going up to the Temple for the prayers at the ninth hour,	1 Петр и Иоанн шли вместе в храм в час молитвы девятый.
2 it happened that there was a man being carried along. He was a cripple from birth; and they used to puthim down every day near the Temple entrance cal ed the Beautiful Gate so that he could beg from the peoplegoing in.	2 И был человек, хромой от чрева матери его, которого носили и сажали каждый день при дверях храма, называемых Красными, просить милостыни у входящих в храм.
3 When this man saw Peter and John on their way into the Temple he begged from them.	3 Он, увидев Петра и Иоанна перед входом в храм, просил у них милостыни.
4 Peter, and John too, looked straight at him and said, 'Look at us.'	4 Петр с Иоанном, всмотревшись в него, сказали: взгляни на нас.
5 He turned to them expectantly, hoping to get something from them,	5 И он пристально смотрел на них, надеясь получить от них что-- нибудь.
6 but Peter said, 'I have neither silver nor gold, but I wil give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christthe Nazarene, walk!'	6 Но Петр сказал: серебра и золота нет у меня; а что имею, то даю тебе: во имя Иисуса Христа Назорея встань и ходи.
7 Then he took him by the right hand and helped him to stand up. Instantly his feet and ankles becamefirm,	7 И, взяв его за правую руку, поднял; и вдруг укрепились его ступни и колени,
8 he jumped up, stood, and began to walk, and he went with them into the Temple, walking and jumpingand praising God.	8 и вскочив, стал, и начал ходить, и вошел с ними в храм, ходя и скача, и хваля Бога.
9 Everyone could see him walking and praising God,	9 И весь народ видел его ходящим и хвалящим Бога;
10 and they recognised him as the man who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple. Theywere all astonished and perplexed at what had happened to him.	10 и узнали его, что это был тот, который сидел у Красных дверей храма для милостыни; и исполнились ужаса и изумления от случившегося с ним.
11 Everyone came running towards them in great excitement, to the Portico of Solomon, as it is called,where the man was stil clinging to Peter and John.	11 И как исцеленный хромой не отходил от Петра и Иоанна, то весь народ в изумлении сбежался к ним в притвор, называемый Соломонов.
12 When Peter saw the people he addressed them, 'Men of Israel, why are you so surprised at this? Whyare you staring at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or holiness?	12 Увидев это, Петр сказал народу: мужи Израильские! что дивитесь сему, или что смотрите на нас, как будто бы мы своею силою или благочестием сделали то, что он ходит?
13 It is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, who has glorified his servantJesus whom you handed over and then disowned in the presence of Pilate after he had given his verdict torelease him.	13 Бог Авраама и Исаака и Иакова, Бог отцов наших, прославил Сына Своего Иисуса, Которого вы предали и от Которого отреклись перед лицом Пилата, когда он полагал освободить Его.
14 It was you who accused the Holy and Upright One, you who demanded that a murderer should bereleased to you	14 Но вы от Святого и Праведного отреклись, и просили даровать вам человека убийцу,
15 while you killed the prince of life. God, however, raised him from the dead, and to that fact we are witnesses;	15 а Начальника жизни убили. Сего Бог воскресил из мертвых, чему мы свидетели.
16 and it is the name of Jesus which, through faith in him, has brought back the strength of this manwhom you see here and who is wel known to you. It is faith in him that has restored this man to health, as youcan al see.	16 И ради веры во имя Его, имя Его укрепило сего, которого вы видите и знаете, и вера, которая от Него, даровала ему исцеление сие перед всеми вами.
17 'Now I know, brothers, that neither you nor your leaders had any idea what you were real y doing;	17 Впрочем я знаю, братия, что вы, как и начальники ваши, сделали это по неведению;
18 but this was the way God carried out what he had foretold, when he said through all his prophets thathis Christ would suffer.	18 Бог же, как предвозвестил устами всех Своих пророков пострадать Христу, так и исполнил.
19 Now you must repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,	19 Итак покайтесь и обратитесь, чтобы загладились грехи ваши,
20 and so that the Lord may send the time of comfort. Then he wil send you the Christ he haspredestined, that is Jesus,	20 да придут времена отрады от лица Господа, и да пошлет Он предназначенного вам Иисуса Христа,
21 whom heaven must keep til the universal restoration comes which God proclaimed, speaking throughhis holy prophets.	21 Которого небо должно было принять до времен совершения всего, что говорил Бог устами всех святых Своих пророков от века.
22 Moses, for example, said, "From among your brothers the Lord God wil raise up for you a prophet likeme; you wil listen to whatever he tells you.	22 Моисей сказал отцам: Господь Бог ваш воздвигнет вам из братьев ваших Пророка, как меня, слушайтесь Его во всем, что Он ни будет говорить вам;
23 Anyone who refuses to listen to that prophet shal be cut off from the people."	23 и будет, что всякая душа, которая не послушает Пророка того, истребится из народа.
24 In fact, al the prophets that have ever spoken, from Samuel onwards, have predicted these days.	24 И все пророки, от Самуила и после него, сколько их ни говорили, также предвозвестили дни сии.
25 'You are the heirs of the prophets, the heirs of the covenant God made with your ancestors when hetold Abraham, "Al the nations of the earth will be blessed in your descendants".	25 Вы сыны пророков и завета, который завещевал Бог отцам вашим, говоря Аврааму: и в семени твоем благословятся все племена земные.
26 It was for you in the first place that God raised up his servant and sent him to bless you as every one ofyou turns from his wicked ways.'	26 Бог, воскресив Сына Своего Иисуса, к вам первым послал Его благословить вас, отвращая каждого от злых дел ваших.
