Exodus 15

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 It was then that Moses and the Israelites sang this song in Yahweh's honour: I shall sing to Yahweh,for he has covered himself in glory, horse and rider he has thrown into the sea.	1 E allora Moisè cantò, e li figliuoli d'Israel, questo cantico al Signore, e dissero: cantiamo al Signore, però che gloriosamente egli hae fatte le cose grandi; lo cavallo (d'Egitto) e lo suo ascensore gittò in mare.
2 Yah is my strength and my song, to him I owe my deliverance. He is my God and I shal praise him,my father's God and I shal extol him.	2 Lo Signore è stato la mia fortezza e la mia laude, e hammi fatto salvo. Questo è lo mio Iddio, e glorificato sia; questo Iddio del padre mio, e l'esalterò.
3 Yahweh is a warrior; Yahweh is his name.	3 Lo Signore quasi uomo combattitore; onni potente lo nome suo.
4 Pharaoh's chariots and army he has hurled into the sea the pick of his officers have been drowned inthe Sea of Reeds.	4 Lo carro di Faraone e lo esercito suo gitto nel mare; e gli eletti principi suoi affogati sono nel mare rubro.
5 The ocean has closed over them; they have sunk to the bottom like a stone.	5 Gli abissi coprirono loro; e disceseno nel profondo, come pietra.
6 Your right hand, Yahweh, wins glory by its strength, your right hand, Yahweh, shatters your foes,	6 La mano tua dritta, Signore, è magnificata; la tua mano dritta percosse lo inimico.
7 and by your great majesty you fell your assailants; you unleash your fury, it consumes them like chaff.	7 E nella moltitudine della gloria tua deponesti li avversarii miei; mandasti l'ira tua, la quale divorò loro siccome paglia.
8 A blast from your nostrils and the waters piled high; the waves stood firm as a dyke; the bed of the seabecame firm ground.	8 E nello spirito del furore tuo raunate sono l'acque, e istette l'onda scorrente; raunati sono gli abissi nel mezzo del mare.
9 The enemy said, 'I shal give chase and overtake, 'I shal share out the spoil and glut myself on them, 'Ishall draw my sword, my hand wil destroy them.'	9 E disse lo inimico: perseguiterò e piglierò, e dividerò le robbe che piglierò; riempierassi l'anima mia; isguainerò lo coltello mio, e ucciderà loro la mano mia.
10 You blew with your breath, the sea closed over them; they sank like lead in the terrible waters.	10 Soffiò lo spirito tuo, e coprì loro il mare; iti sono a fondo, quasi come piombo, nell'acque grandissime.
11 Yahweh, who is like you, majestic in sanctity, who like you among the holy ones, fearsome of deed,worker of wonders?	11 Chi è simile a te nelle forze, Signore? Chi è simile a te, grandissimo nella santitade, ispaventevole e laudabile, e faciente le maravigliose cose?
12 You stretched your right hand out, the earth swallowed them!	12 Tu estendesti la mano tua, e divorò [ loro ] la terra.
13 In your faithful love you led out the people you had redeemed, in your strength you have guided themto your holy dwel ing.	13 Duca fosti nella misericordia tua al popolo che tu ricomperasti; portasti loro, nella fortezza tua, all'abitacolo santo tuo.
14 Hearing of this, the peoples tremble; pangs seize on the people of Philistia;	14 Salirono li popoli, e adirati sono; li dolori compresono li abitatori de' Filistei.
15 the chieftains of Edom are dismayed, Moab's princes -- panic has seized them, all the inhabitants ofCanaan have melted away.	15 Allora conturbati sono li principi d'Edom; gli forti di Moab oppresse la paura; ispaventarono tutti li abitatori di Chanaan.
16 On them fall terror and dread; through the power of your arm they are stil as stone while your peopleare passing, Yahweh, while the people you have purchased are passing.	16 Cada sopra loro la paura e lo spavento nella grandezza del braccio tuo; facciansi immobili, quasi come pietre, tanto che passi il popolo tuo, Signore; tanto che passi questo popolo che tu hae posseduto.
17 You wil bring them in and plant them on the mountain which is your heritage, the place which you,Yahweh, have made your dwel ing, the sanctuary, Yahweh, prepared by your own hands.	17 Menerai loro dentro, e pianterai nel monte della eredità tua, con fermissimo abitacolo tuo, il quale tu hai preparato, o Signore; lo santuario tuo, Signore, il quale fermarono le mani tue.
18 Yahweh will be king for ever and ever.	18 Lo Signore regnerà in eterno e più oltre.
19 For when Pharaoh's cavalry, with his chariots and horsemen, had gone into the sea, Yahweh broughtthe waters of the sea back over them, though the Israelites went on dry ground right through the sea.	19 Venuto è certo a cavallo Faraone con carri suoi e cavalli nel mare; e ridusse sopra loro le acque del mare lo Signore; ma li figliuoli d'Israel andarono per lo secco nel mezzo del mare.
20 The prophetess Miriam, Aaron's sister, took up a tambourine, and all the women fol owed her withtambourines, dancing,	20 Tolse adunque Maria profetessa, sorella di Aaron, lo timpano (cioè il tamburo) nella mano sua; e venute sono tutte le femine dopo lei colli timpani (cioè colli cimbali) e cori.
21 while Miriam took up from them the refrain: Sing to Yahweh, for he has covered himself in glory,horse and rider he has thrown into the sea.	21 Colli quali cantavano, dicendo: cantiamo al Signore, però che gloriosamente è in verità onorificato, e il cavallo (e il cavalcatore) e l'ascensore suo gittò nel mare.
22 Moses led Israel away from the Sea of Reeds, and they entered the desert of Shur. They thentravel ed through the desert for three days without finding water.	22 Menò adunque Moisè Israel del mare rosso; e venuti sono nel deserto di Sur, e andarono tre dì per la solitudine, e non trovarono acqua.
23 When they reached Marah, they could not drink the Marah water because it was bitter; this is why theplace was named Marah.	23 E vennero in Mara, nè non poteano bevere l'acque di Mara, perciò ch' elle erano amare; donde al luogo ragunato nome pose, chiamando quello MARA, cioè amaritudine.
24 The people complained to Moses saying, 'What are we to drink?'	24 Mormorò il popolo contro Moisè, dicendo: che beveremo?
25 Moses appealed to Yahweh for help, and Yahweh showed him a piece of wood. When Moses threwit into the water, the water became sweet. There he laid down a statute and law for them and there he put themto the test. Then he said,	25 Ma quelli chiamò al Signore; il quale mostrò a lui lo legno (il quale) quando lo mise nell'acqua, in dolcezza sono tornate l'acque; e quivi ordinò a lui li comandamenti e li giudicii, e quivi tentò lui lo Signore,
26 'If you listen careful y to the voice of Yahweh your God and do what he regards as right, if you payattention to his commandments and keep al his laws, I shal never inflict on you any of the diseases that Iinflicted on the Egyptians, for I am Yahweh your Healer.'	26 dicendo: se tu udirai la voce del Signore Iddio tuo, e quello che diritto è innanzi a lui tu farai, e obbedirai li comandamenti suoi, e guarderai ogni comandamento suo, tutto lo languore che tu ponesti in Egitto non inducerò sopra te. Io certa mente sono Signore e sanatore tuo.
27 So they came to Elim where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees; and there theypitched camp beside the water.	27 E vennero li figliuoli d'Israel in Elim, dove erano dodici fonti d'acque e LXX palme; ed accamparonsi appresso l'acque.
