1 David then addressed the whole assembly, 'Solomon my son, whom Yahweh has specifical y chosen,is young and immature, and the work is great; this palace is not for any human being but for Yahweh God.	1 И сказал царь Давид всему собранию: Соломон, сын мой, которого одного избрал Бог, молод и малосилен, а дело сие велико, потому что не для человека здание сие, а для Господа Бога.
2 With al the resources I can command, for the house of my God I have provided gold for what must bemade of gold, silver for what must be made of silver, bronze for what must be made of bronze, iron for what mustbe made of iron, wood for what must be made of wood, as well as cornelian for inlay work, slabs of multi-coloured mosaic, every kind of precious stone and quantities of alabaster.	2 Всеми силами я заготовил для дома Бога моего золото для золотых вещей и серебро для серебряных, и медь для медных, железо для железных, и дерева для деревянных, камни оникса и [камни] вставные, камни красивые и разноцветные, и всякие дорогие камни, и множество мрамора;
3 Furthermore, because my affections are set on the house of my God, I have also given what gold andsilver I personal y own for the house of my God, over and above everything which I have already provided for theholy Temple-	3 и еще по любви моей к дому Бога моего, есть у меня сокровище собственное из золота и серебра, [и его] я отдаю для дома Бога моего, сверх всего, что заготовил я для святого дома:
4 that is to say, three thousand talents of gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver foroverlaying the walls of the buildings,	4 три тысячи талантов золота, золота Офирского, и семь тысяч талантов серебра чистого, для обложения стен в домах,
5 the gold being for what must be made of gold, and the silver for what must be made of silver: and forwhatever the craftsmen must make. Who, then, is wil ing to devote himself to Yahweh's service today?'	5 для каждой из золотых вещей, и для каждой из серебряных, и для всякого изделия рук художнических. Не поусердствует ли [еще] кто жертвовать сегодня для Господа?
6 At this, the heads of families, the tribal chiefs of Israel, the commanders of the thousands and thehundreds and those who managed the king's affairs,	6 И стали жертвовать начальники семейств и начальники колен Израилевых, и начальники тысяч и сотен, и начальники над имениями царя.
7 volunteered a gift of five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents ofsilver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze and a hundred thousand talents of iron,	7 И дали на устроение дома Божия пять тысяч талантов и десять тысяч драхм золота, и серебра десять тысяч талантов, и меди восемнадцать тысяч талантов, и железа сто тысяч талантов.
8 while those who owned precious stones presented them to the treasury of the house of Yahweh in thecustody of Jehiel the Gershonite.	8 И у кого нашлись [дорогие] камни, те отдавали и их в сокровищницу дома Господня, на руки Иехиилу Герсонитянину.
9 The people rejoiced at what these had given so readily, since they had presented their freewilofferings wholeheartedly to Yahweh. King David too was fil ed with joy.	9 И радовался народ усердию их, потому что они от всего сердца жертвовали Господу, также и царь Давид весьма радовался.
10 Hence, in the presence of the whole assembly David blessed Yahweh. David said: 'May you beblessed, Yahweh, God of Israel our ancestor, for ever and for ever!	10 И благословил Давид Господа пред всем собранием, и сказал Давид: благословен Ты, Господи Боже Израиля, отца нашего, от века и до века!
11 Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the splendour, length of days and glory, everything inheaven and on earth is yours. Yours is the sovereignty, Yahweh; you are exalted, supreme over al .	11 Твое, Господи, величие, и могущество, и слава, и победа и великолепие, и все, [что] на небе и на земле, [Твое]: Твое, Господи, царство, и Ты превыше всего, как Владычествующий.
12 Wealth and riches come from you, you are ruler of all, in your hand lie strength and power, and youbestow greatness and might on whomsoever you please.	12 И богатство и слава от лица Твоего, и Ты владычествуешь над всем, и в руке Твоей сила и могущество, и во власти Твоей возвеличить и укрепить все.
13 So now, our God, we give thanks to you and praise your majestic name,	13 И ныне, Боже наш, мы славословим Тебя и хвалим величественное имя Твое.
14 for who am I and what is my people, for us to be able to volunteer offerings like this? - sinceeverything has come from you and we have given you only what you bestowed in the first place,	14 Ибо кто я и кто народ мой, что мы имели возможность так жертвовать? Но от Тебя все, и от руки Твоей [полученное] мы отдали Тебе,
15 and we are guests before you, and passing visitors as were al our ancestors, our days on earthfleeting as a shadow and without hope.	15 потому что странники мы пред Тобою и пришельцы, как и все отцы наши, как тень дни наши на земле, и нет ничего прочного.
16 Yahweh our God, all this wealth, which we have provided to build a house for your holy name, hascome from you and all belongs to you.	16 Господи Боже наш! все это множество, которое приготовили мы для построения дома Тебе, святому имени Твоему, от руки Твоей оно, и все Твое.
17 'Knowing, my God, how you examine our motives and how you delight in integrity, with integrity ofmotive I have wil ingly given all this and have been overjoyed to see your people, now present here, wil inglyoffering their gifts to you.	17 Знаю, Боже мой, что Ты испытуешь сердце и любишь чистосердечие; я от чистого сердца моего пожертвовал все сие, и ныне вижу, что и народ Твой, здесь находящийся, с радостью жертвует Тебе.
18 Yahweh, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel our ancestors, watch over this for ever, shape thepurpose of your people's heart and direct their hearts to you,	18 Господи, Боже Авраама, Исаака и Израиля, отцов наших! сохрани сие навек, [сие] расположение мыслей сердца народа Твоего, и направь сердце их к Тебе.
19 and give an undivided heart to Solomon my son to keep your commandments, your decrees andyour statutes, to put them all into effect and to build the palace for which I have made provision.'	19 Соломону же, сыну моему, дай сердце правое, чтобы соблюдать заповеди Твои, откровения Твои и уставы Твои, и исполнить все это и построить здание, для которого я сделал приготовление.
20 David then addressed the whole assembly: 'Now bless Yahweh your God!' And the whole assemblyblessed Yahweh, God of their ancestors, bowing down in homage to Yahweh, and to the king.	20 И сказал Давид всему собранию: благословите Господа Бога нашего. --И благословило все собрание Господа Бога отцов своих, и пало, и поклонилось Господу и царю.
21 On the day fol owing this, they slaughtered sacrifices and brought burnt offerings to Yahweh onbehalf of Israel -- a thousand bul s, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs with their libations, as wel as manyother sacrifices-	21 И принесли Господу жертвы, и вознесли всесожжения Господу, на другой после сего день: тысячу тельцов, тысячу овнов, тысячу агнцев с их возлияниями, и множество жертв от всего Израиля.
22 and they ate and drank that day in Yahweh's presence with great joy. They then made Solomon sonof David king a second time, anointing him as leader for Yahweh, and Zadok as priest.	22 И ели и пили пред Господом в тот день, с великою радостью; и в другой раз воцарили Соломона, сына Давидова, и помазали пред Господом в правителя верховного, а Садока во священника.
23 Solomon took his seat on Yahweh's throne, to reign in succession to David his father. He prospered,and all Israel obeyed him.	23 И сел Соломон на престоле Господнем, как царь, вместо Давида, отца своего, и был благоуспешен, и весь Израиль повиновался ему.
24 Al the chiefs, al the leading citizens and al King David's other sons pledged allegiance to KingSolomon.	24 И все начальники и сильные, также и все сыновья царя Давида подчинились Соломону царю.
25 Yahweh made Solomon exceedingly powerful, as all Israel could see, and gave him a reign of suchsplendour as no previous king of Israel ever had.	25 И возвеличил Господь Соломона пред очами всего Израиля, и даровал ему славу царства, какой не имел прежде его ни один царь у Израиля.
26 David son of Jesse was king of al Israel.	26 И Давид, сын Иессеев, царствовал над всем Израилем.
27 He was king of Israel for a period of forty years; he reigned at Hebron for seven years, and inJerusalem for thirty-three.	27 Времени царствования его над Израилем [было] сорок лет: в Хевроне царствовал он семь лет, и в Иерусалиме царствовал тридцать три [года].
28 He died at a good old age, ful of days, riches and honour. Then his son Solomon succeeded him.	28 И умер в доброй старости, насыщенный жизнью, богатством и славою; и воцарился Соломон, сын его, вместо него.
29 The history of King David, from first to last, is al written down in the records of Samuel the seer, therecords of Nathan the prophet and the records of Gad the seer,	29 Дела царя Давида, первые и последние, описаны в записях Самуила провидца и в записях Нафана пророка и в записях Гада прозорливца,
30 with his entire reign, his mighty deeds and the times which he, Israel and al the kings of othercountries, had experienced.	30 равно и все царствование его, и мужество его, и происшествия, случившиеся с ним и с Израилем и со всеми земными царствами.
