1 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,	1 Estas son las últimas palabras de David: Oráculo de David, hijo de Jesé, oráculo del hombre puesto en alto, el ungido del Dios de Jacob, el suave salmista de Israel:
2 The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.	2 El espíritu de Yahveh habla por mí, su palabra está en mi lengua.
3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.	3 El Dios de Jacob ha hablado, me ha dicho la Roca de Israel. El justo que gobierna a los hombres, que gobierna en el temor de Dios,
4 And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.	4 como luz matinal al romper el sol en una mañana sin nubes, haciendo brillar tras la lluvia el césped de la tierra.
5 Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.	5 Pues firme ante Dios está mi casa, porque ha hecho conmigo un pacto sempiterno, en todo ordenado y custodiado. El hará germinar toda mi salud y todo mi deseo.
6 But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:	6 Como espinas del desierto todos los malvados, que no son recogidos con la mano.
7 But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.	7 Nadie los toca si no es con hierro o el fuste de una lanza para ser consumidos por el fuego.
8 These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.	8 Estos son los nombres de los valientes de David: Isbaal el jakmonita, el primero de los tres; fue el que blandió su lanza e hizo ochocientas víctimas de una sola vez.
9 And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:	9 Después de él, Eleazar, hijo de Dodó, ajojita, uno de los tres héroes. Estaba con David en Pas Dammim cuando los filisteos se concentraron para presentar batalla y los hombres de Israel retrocedían.
10 He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.	10 El se mantuvo firme y atacó a los filisteos hasta que se le crispó la mano y se lo quedéo pegada a la espada; aquel día obró Yahveh una gran victoria; el ejército volvió sobre sus pasos, pero sólo para apoderarse de los despojos.
11 And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines.	11 Después de él, Sammá, hijo de Elá, hararita. Los filisteos se habían concentrado en Lejí. Había allí una pieza toda de lentejas. El ejército huyó ante los filisteos.
12 But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.	12 Pero él se puso en medio de la pieza, la defendió y batió a los filisteos. Yahveh obró una gran victoria.
13 And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim.	13 Tres de los Treinta bajaron al tiempo de la cosecha y llegaron donde David a la caverna de Adullam, cuando un destacamento filisteo estaba acampado en el valle de los Refaím.
14 And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.	14 David estaba en el refugio y había en Belén un puesto de filisteos.
15 And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!	15 David expresó este deseo: «¡Quién me diera a beber agua de la cisterna que hay a la puerta de Bélen!»
16 And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.	16 Rompieron entonces los Tres héroes por el campamento de los filisteos y sacaron agua de la cisterna que hay a la puerta de Bélen, se la llevaron y la ofrecieron a David, pero él no quiso beberla, sino que la derramó como libación a Yahveh,
17 And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.	17 diciendo: «¡Líbreme Yahveh de hacer tal cosa! ¡Es la sangre de los hombres que han ido exponiendo su vida!» Y no quiso beberla. - Estas cosas hicieron los Tres héroes.
18 And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.	18 Abisay, hermano de Joab, e hijo de Sarvia, era jefe de los Treinta; fue el que blandió su lanza contra trescientos hombres y conquistó renombre entre los Treinta.
19 Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.	19 Fue el más afamado de los Treinta, llegando a ser su capitán, pero no igualó a los Tres.
20 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:	20 Benaías, hijo de Yehoyadá, hombre valeroso y pródigo en hazañas, de Cabseel, fue el que mató a los dos héroes de Moab; el que bajó y mató al león dentro del pozo, un día de nieve.
21 And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.	21 Mató también a un egipcio de gran estatura; tenía el egipcio una lanza en su mano, pero él bajó a su encuentro con un bastón, arrancó la lanza de la mano del egipcio y con su misma lanza le mató.
22 These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among three mighty men.	22 Esto hizo Benaías, hijo de Yehoyadá, y se granjeó renombre entre los Treinta valientes.
23 He was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.	23 Fue más ilustre que los Treinta pero no igualó a los Tres. David le hizo jefe de su guardia personal.
24 Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,	24 Asahel, hermano de Joab, estaba entre los Treinta. Eljanán, hijo de Dodó, de Belén.
25 Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,	25 Sammá, de Jarod. Elicá, de Jarod.
26 Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,	26 Jeles, de Bet Pélet. Irá, hijo de Iqques, de Técoa.
27 Abiezer the Anethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,	27 Abiezer, de Anatot. Sibbekay, de Jusá.
28 Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,	28 Salmón, de Ajoj. Majray, de Netofá.
29 Heleb the son of Baanah, a Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai out of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin,	29 Jeled, hijo de Baaná, de Netofá. Ittay, hijo de Ribay, de Guibeá de Benjamín.
30 Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,	30 Benaías, de Piratón. Hidday, de los torrentes de Gaás.
31 Abi-albon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,	31 Abibaal, de Bet Haarabá. Azmávet de Bajurim.
32 Eliahba the Shaalbonite, of the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,	32 Elyajbá, de Saalbón. Yasén, de Guizón. Jonatán,

35 Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,	35 Jesray, de Carmelo. Paaray, de Arab.
36 Igal the son of Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,	36 Yigal, hijo de Natán, de Sobá. Baní, de Gad.
37 Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, armourbearer to Joab the son of Zeruiah,	37 Séleq el ammonita. Najray, de Beerot, escudero de Joab, hijo de Sarvia.
