1 Kad je Jošua ostario i odmakao u svojim godinama, reče mu Jahve: »Već si star i vremešan, a ostalo je mnogo zemlje da se osvoji.	1 Now Joshua had grown old and advanced in years. Yahweh said to him, 'You are now old andadvanced in years, yet there is stil a great deal of territory left to be taken possession of.
2 Evo područja što još preostaju: sve pokrajine filistejske i sva zemlja gešurska;	2 This is al the territory left: 'Al the districts of the Philistines and the whole country of the Geshurites;
3 od Šihora, što je pred Egiptom, sve do granice Ekrona na sjeveru, a računa se kao područje Kanaanaca; pet kneževina filistejskih: Gaza, Ašdod, Aškelon, Git i Ekron; zatim Avijci	3 from the Shihor, facing Egypt, to the frontier of Ekron in the north, is reckoned as Canaanite territory.The five rulers of the Philistines have their seats at Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath and Ekron, respectively; theAvvites are in
4 na jugu. Sva zemlja kanaanska od Are, koja pripada Sidoncima, pa do Afeka i do međe amorejske;	4 the south. The entire territory of the Canaanites, and Mearah which belongs to the Sidonians, as far asAphekah and as far as the frontier of the Amorites;
5 onda zemlja Giblijaca i sav Libanon prema istoku, od Baal Gada u podnožju gore Hermona do Lebo Hamata.	5 and then the country of the Gebalites with the entire Lebanon eastwards from Baal-Gad at the foot ofMount Hermon to the Pass of Hamath.
6 Sve stanovnike gorja, od Libanona do Misrefota na zapadu – sve Sidonce otjerat ću ispred sinova Izraelovih. Samo razdijeli Izraelu zemlju u baštinu, kao što sam ti zapovjedio.	6 'All who live in the highlands from the Lebanon to Misrephoth in the west -- al the Sidonians -- I myselfshall dispossess before the Israelites. Al you have to do is to distribute the territory as a heritage for theIsraelites as I have ordered you.
7 Razdijeli, dakle, tu zemlju u baštinu među devet plemena i polovinu plemena Manašeova.«	7 The time has come to divide this territory as a heritage between the nine tribes and the half-tribe ofManasseh: from the Jordan as far as the Great Sea in the west, you must give it them; the Great Sea wil betheir limit.'
8 Druga polovina plemena Manašeova, a s njome pleme Rubenovo i Gadovo, primiše svoju baštinu koju im je predao Mojsije preko Jordana, na istoku. Mojsije, sluga Jahvin, dodijelio im je ovako:	8 As regards the other half-tribe of Manasseh, this and the Reubenites and Gadites had already receivedtheir heritage, given them by Moses on the further, eastern side of the Jordan, the one which Moses, servant ofYahweh, had already given them:
9 od Aroera, koji se nalazi uz obalu potoka Arnona, i od grada usred doline, svu visoravan od Medebe do Dibona;	9 The country onwards from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Val ey, with the town in the bottom of theval ey and the entire tableland from Medeba to Dibon;
10 sve gradove Sihona, kralja amorejskoga, koji je vladao u Hešbonu, sve do međe sinova Amonovih;	10 al the towns of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had reigned in Heshbon, to the frontier of theAmmonites;
11 i Gilead, i krajinu gešursku i maakansku sa svom gorom Hermonom, i sav Bašan do Salke;	11 then Gilead and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites with the whole Hermon range and thewhole of Bashan as far as Salecah;
12 a u Bašanu sve kraljevstvo Oga, koji je vladao u Aštarotu i Edreju i bio posljednji potomak Refaima. Mojsije ih je pobijedio i protjerao.	12 and in Bashan, the whole kingdom of Og, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei, and was the lastof the survivors of the Rephaim. Moses had conquered and dispossessed these two kings.
13 Ali sinovi Izraelovi nisu protjerali Gešurce i Maakance, pa tako ostadoše Gešurci i Maakanci usred Izraela sve do današnjega dana.	13 The Israelites did not, however, dispossess either the Geshurites or the Maacathites, hence Geshurand Maacah survive inside Israel even today.
14 Samo plemenu Levijevu ne dade baštine: Jahve, Bog Izraelov, njegova je baština, kao što je rekao.	14 To the tribe of Levi alone no heritage was given; Yahweh, God of Israel, was his heritage, as he hadtold him.
15 Mojsije dade plemenu sinova Rubenovih dijelove po njihovim porodicama.	15 Moses had given the tribe of the sons of Reuben a share by clans.
16 Primili su zemlju od Aroera, koji leži uz obalu potoka Arnona, i od grada koji je u sredini doline i svu visoravan kod Medebe;	16 Thus, their territory was the entire tableland from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Val ey, with the townin the bottom of the val ey, as far as Medeba,
17 Hešbon sa svim njegovim gradovima koji leže na visoravni: Dibon, Bamot Baal, Bet Baal Meon;	17 Heshbon with all the towns on the tableland: Dibon, Bamoth-Baal, Beth-Baal-Meon,
18 Jahas, Kedemot, Mefaat;	18 Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
19 Kirjatajim, Sibmu i Seret Hašahar na gori iznad doline;	19 Kiriathaim, Sibmah and, in the highlands of the Arabah, Zereth-Shahar;
20 Bet Peor, Ašdot Hapisgu, Bet Haješimot;	20 Beth-Peor, the watered foothills of Mount Pisgah, Beth-ha-Jeshimoth,
21 sve gradove na visoravni i sve kraljevstvo Sihona, amorejskog kralja, koji je vladao u Hešbonu. Mojsije ga je pobijedio kao i knezove midjanske: Avija, Rekema, Sura, Hura, Reba, podanike Sihonove, koji su živjeli u toj zemlji;	21 al the towns on the tableland and the entire kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had reignedin Heshbon; he had been defeated by Moses, and with him the princes of Midian, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur andReba, vassals of Sihon, formerly living in the country.
22 i vrača Bileama, sina Beorova, ubili su sinovi Izraelovi oštricom mača s ostalim žrtvama.	22 As regards Balaam son of Beor, the soothsayer, the Israelites had put him to the sword with thosewhom they had kil ed.
23 Međa sinova Rubenovih bijaše Jordan. To je bila baština sinova Rubenovih po njihovim porodicama: gradovi i sela njihova.	23 The boundary of the Reubenites was the Jordan and its territory. Such was the heritage of the sons ofReuben, by clans, with the towns and vil ages belonging to them.
24 Onda dade Mojsije plemenu Gadovu, sinovima Gadovim, dijelove po porodicama njihovim.	24 Moses had given the tribe of Gad, the sons of Gad, a share by clans.
25 Primili su u posjed: Jazer i sve gradove gileadske, polovinu zemlje sinova Amonovih sve do Aroera, nasuprot Rabi,	25 Their territory was Jazer, al the towns of Gilead, half the country of the Ammonites as far as Aroerfacing Rabbah,
26 i od Hešbona do Ramat Hamispe i Betonima, i od Mahanajima do pokrajine Lo-Debar;	26 and from Heshbon to Ramath-Mizpeh and Betonim; from Mahanaim as far as the territory of Lo-Debar,
27 a u dolini: Bet Haram, Bet Nimru, Sukot i Safon, to jest ostatak kraljevstva Sihona, kralja hešbonskoga; Jordan s obalom sve do kraja Kineretskoga mora, na istočnoj strani Jordana.	27 and in the val ey: Beth-Haram, Beth-Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon -- the rest of the kingdom of Sihonking of Heshbon -- the Jordan and the territory running to the tip of the Sea of Chinneroth, on the further, easternside of the Jordan.
28 To je baština sinova Gadovih, po njihovim porodicama, gradovi i sela njihova.	28 Such was the heritage of the sons of Gad, by clans, with their towns and vil ages belonging to them.
29 Mojsije je dao dio polovini plemena Manašeova po njegovim porodicama.	29 Moses had given the half-tribe of Manasseh a share by clans.
30 Dobili su u posjed zemlju od Mahanajima, sav Bašan, sve kraljevstvo Oga, kralja bašanskoga, i sva sela Jairova što su u Bašanu – šezdeset gradova.	30 Their territory, starting from Mahanaim, was the whole of Bashan, the entire kingdom of Og king ofBashan, all the Encampments of Jair in Bashan: sixty towns.
31 A polovina Gileada, Aštarot i Edrej, gradovi kraljevstva Ogova u Bašanu, pripali su sinovima Makira, sina Manašeova, i to polovini sinova Makirovih po njihovim porodicama.	31 Half of Gilead, with Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the royal cities of Og in Bashan, were al otted to the sons ofMachir son of Manasseh, to half of the sons of Machir, by clans.
32 Tako je Mojsije bio podijelio baštine na Moapskim poljanama, s druge strane Jordana, istočno od Jerihona.	32 This was what Moses had conferred in heritage on the Plains of Moab on the further, eastern side ofthe Jordan opposite Jericho.
33 Levijevu plemenu ne dade Mojsije baštine: Jahve, Bog Izraelov, njihova je baština, kao što im je sam rekao.	33 To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses gave no heritage; Yahweh, God of Israel, was his heritage, ashe had told him.
