Ezekiel 35

1 I dođe mi riječ Jahvina:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 »Sine čovječji, okreni lice k Seirskoj gori i prorokuj protiv nje!	2 'Son of man, turn towards Mount Seir and prophesy against it.
3 Reci joj: Ovako govori Jahve Gospod: ‘Evo me na te, Goro seirska! Ruku ću podići na te i pretvoriti te u pustoš i pustinju.	3 Say to it, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Mount Seir; I shall stretch out my handagainst you; I shal make you a desolate waste;
4 Gradove ću tvoje razvaliti i postat ćeš pustinjom. I znat ćeš da sam ja Jahve!	4 I shal lay your towns in ruins. You wil become a waste and you wil know that I am Yahweh.
5 Vječnu si mržnju gojila i maču predavala sinove Izraelove kad bi ih nesreća pogodila i kad bi im kucnuo čas posljednjega grijeha.	5 Since, fol owing a long-standing hatred, you betrayed the Israelites to the sword on the day of theirdistress, on the day when an end came for their guilt,
6 Zato, života mi moga’ – riječ je Jahve Gospoda – ‘krvi ću te predati i krv će te progoniti: od krvi nisi prezala, krv će te progoniti!	6 very wel , as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I destine you to bloodshed, and bloodshed wilpursue you. I swear it; you have incurred guilt by shedding blood, and bloodshed will pursue you.
7 Od Gore seirske učinit ću pustoš i pustinju, istrijebit ću iz nje polaznika i povratnika.	7 I shal make Mount Seir a desolate waste and denude it of anyone travel ing to and fro.
8 Gore njezine napunit ću truplima: po tvojim brežuljcima, po tvojim dolinama i po tvojim uvalama padat će mačem pokošeni.	8 I shal fil its mountains with its slaughtered; on your hills, in your val eys and in all your ravines, thoseslaughtered by the sword will fal .
9 Učinit ću od tebe vječnu pustinju, gradovi se tvoji neće napučiti. I znat ćete da sam ja Jahve!	9 I shal make you a perpetual waste, your towns wil never be inhabited again, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.
10 Ti reče: ‘Ova dva naroda i ove dvije zemlje bit će moji; mi ćemo ih zaposjesti, ako i jest Jahve bio ondje!’	10 "Since you said: The two nations and the two countries wil be mine; we are going to take possessionof it, although Yahweh was there,
11 Zato, života mi moga’ – riječ je Jahve Gospoda – ‘postupit ću s tobom prema gnjevu i ljubomori s kojom ti postupi u svojoj mržnji s njima! Upoznat ćeš me po tome kako ću ti suditi!	11 very well, as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I shal act with the same anger and jealousy as youacted in your hatred for them. I shall make myself known for their sake, when I punish you,
12 I znat ćeš da sam ja, Jahve, čuo sve tvoje hule što ih izreče na gore Izraelove govoreći: ‘Opustješe, nama su dane za hranu!’	12 and you wil know that I, Yahweh, have heard al the blasphemies which you have uttered against themountains of Israel, such as: They have been laid waste, they have been given to us for us to devour.
13 Razmetali ste se, protiv mene govorili i gomilali protiv mene riječi; čuo sam ja!’	13 Great was your insolence towards me, many your speeches against me; I have heard!
14 Ovako govori Jahve Gospod: ‘Na radost sve zemlje, od tebe ću učiniti pustoš.	14 Lord Yahweh says this: To the joy of the whole world, I shal make you a waste.
15 Kako si se ti radovala što opustje baština doma Izraelova, tako ću učiniti s tobom: opustjet ćeš, Goro seirska, a s tobom i sav Edom! I znat će se da sam ja Jahve!’«	15 Since you rejoiced because the heritage of the House of Israel had been laid waste, I shal do thesame to you, Mount Seir; and you wil become a waste, and so wil the whole of Edom; and they will know that Iam Yahweh.' "
