1 [Für den Chormeister. Ein Psalm Davids. Ein Lied.]	1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. A Song. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; let those who hate him flee before him!
2 Gott steht auf, seine Feinde zerstieben; die ihn hassen, fliehen vor seinem Angesicht.	2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before fire, let the wicked perish before God!
3 Sie verfliegen, wie Rauch verfliegt; wie Wachs am Feuer zerfließt, so vergehen die Frevler vor Gottes Angesicht.	3 But let the righteous be joyful; let them exult before God; let them be jubilant with joy!
4 Die Gerechten aber freuen sich und jubeln vor Gott; sie jauchzen in heller Freude.	4 Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides upon the clouds; his name is the LORD, exult before him!
5 Singt für Gott, spielt seinem Namen; jubelt ihm zu, ihm, der auf den Wolken einherfährt! Preist seinen Namen! Freut euch vor seinem Angesicht!	5 Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.
6 Ein Vater der Waisen, ein Anwalt der Witwen ist Gott in seiner heiligen Wohnung.	6 God gives the desolate a home to dwell in; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
7 Gott bringt die Verlassenen heim, führt die Gefangenen hinaus in das Glück; doch die Empörer müssen wohnen im dürren Land.	7 O God, when thou didst go forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness, [Selah]
8 Gott, als du deinem Volk voranzogst, als du die Wüste durchschrittest, [Sela]	8 the earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain, at the presence of God; yon Sinai quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 da bebte die Erde, da ergossen sich die Himmel vor Gott, vor Gott, dem Herrn vom Sinai, vor Israels Gott.	9 Rain in abundance, O God, thou didst shed abroad; thou didst restore thy heritage as it languished;
10 Gott, du ließest Regen strömen in Fülle und erquicktest dein verschmachtendes Erbland.	10 thy flock found a dwelling in it; in thy goodness, O God, thou didst provide for the needy.
11 Deine Geschöpfe finden dort Wohnung; Gott, in deiner Güte versorgst du den Armen.	11 The Lord gives the command; great is the host of those who bore the tidings:
12 Der Herr entsendet sein Wort; groß ist der Siegesbotinnen Schar.	12 "The kings of the armies, they flee, they flee!" The women at home divide the spoil,
13 Die Könige der Heere fliehen, sie fliehen. Im Haus verteilt man die Beute.	13 though they stay among the sheepfolds-- the wings of a dove covered with silver, its pinions with green gold.
14 Was bleibt ihr zurück in den Hürden? Du Taube mit silbernen Schwingen, mit goldenem Flügel!	14 When the Almighty scattered kings there, snow fell on Zalmon.
15 Als der Allmächtige die Könige vertrieb, fiel Schnee auf dem Zalmon.	15 O mighty mountain, mountain of Bashan; O many-peaked mountain, mountain of Bashan!
16 Ein Gottesberg ist der Baschanberg, ein Gebirge, an Gipfeln reich, ist der Baschan.	16 Why look you with envy, O many-peaked mountain, at the mount which God desired for his abode, yea, where the LORD will dwell for ever?
17 Warum blickt ihr voll Neid, ihr hohen Gipfel, auf den Berg, den Gott sich zum Wohnsitz erwählt hat? Dort wird der Herr wohnen in Ewigkeit.	17 With mighty chariotry, twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands, the Lord came from Sinai into the holy place.
18 Die Wagen Gottes sind zahllos, tausendmal tausend. Vom Sinai zieht der Herr zu seinem Heiligtum.	18 Thou didst ascend the high mount, leading captives in thy train, and receiving gifts among men, even among the rebellious, that the LORD God may dwell there.
19 Du zogst hinauf zur Höhe, führtest Gefangene mit; du nahmst Gaben entgegen von den Menschen. Auch Empörer müssen wohnen bei Gott, dem Herrn.	19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. [Selah]
20 Gepriesen sei der Herr, Tag für Tag! Gott trägt uns, er ist unsre Hilfe. [Sela]	20 Our God is a God of salvation; and to GOD, the Lord, belongs escape from death.
21 Gott ist ein Gott, der uns Rettung bringt, Gott, der Herr, führt uns heraus aus dem Tod.	21 But God will shatter the heads of his enemies, the hairy crown of him who walks in his guilty ways.
22 Denn Gott zerschmettert das Haupt seiner Feinde, den Kopf des Frevlers, der in Sünde dahinlebt.	22 The Lord said, "I will bring them back from Bashan, I will bring them back from the depths of the sea,
23 Der Herr hat gesprochen: «Ich bringe (sie) vom Baschan zurück, ich bringe (sie) zurück aus den Tiefen des Meeres.	23 that you may bathe your feet in blood, that the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from the foe."
24 Dein Fuß wird baden im Blut, die Zunge deiner Hunde ihren Anteil bekommen an den Feinden.»	24 Thy solemn processions are seen, O God, the processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary--
25 Gott, sie sahen deinen Einzug, den Einzug meines Gottes und Königs ins Heiligtum:	25 the singers in front, the minstrels last, between them maidens playing timbrels:
26 voraus die Sänger, die Saitenspieler danach, dazwischen Mädchen mit kleinen Pauken.	26 "Bless God in the great congregation, the LORD, O you who are of Israel's fountain!"
27 Versammelt euch und preist unsern Gott, den Herrn in der Gemeinde Israels:	27 There is Benjamin, the least of them, in the lead, the princes of Judah in their throng, the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
28 voran der kleine Stamm Benjamin, im Zug die Fürsten von Juda, die Fürsten von Sebulon, die Fürsten von Naftali.	28 Summon thy might, O God; show thy strength, O God, thou who hast wrought for us.
29 Biete auf, o Gott, deine Macht, die Gottesmacht, die du an uns erwiesen hast	29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem kings bear gifts to thee.
30 avon deinem Tempel aus, hoch über Jerusalem. Könige kommen mit Gaben.	30 Rebuke the beasts that dwell among the reeds, the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples. Trample under foot those who lust after tribute; scatter the peoples who delight in war.
31 Wehr ab das Untier im Schilf, die Rotte der Starken, wehr ab die Herrscher der Völker! Sie sind gierig nach Silber, tritt sie nieder; zerstreue die Völker, die Lust haben am Krieg.	31 Let bronze be brought from Egypt; let Ethiopia hasten to stretch out her hands to God.
32 Aus Ägypten bringt man Geräte von Erz, Kusch erhebt zu Gott seine Hände.	32 Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth; sing praises to the Lord, [Selah]
33 Ihr Königreiche der Erde, singt für Gott, singt und spielt für den Herrn, [Sela]	33 to him who rides in the heavens, the ancient heavens; lo, he sends forth his voice, his mighty voice.
34 der dahinfährt über den Himmel, den uralten Himmel, der seine Stimme erhebt, seine machtvolle Stimme.	34 Ascribe power to God, whose majesty is over Israel, and his power is in the skies.
35 Preist Gottes Macht! Über Israel ragt seine Hoheit empor, seine Macht ragt bis zu den Wolken.	35 Terrible is God in his sanctuary, the God of Israel, he gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!
36 Gott in seinem Heiligtum ist voll Majestät, Israels Gott; seinem Volk verleiht er Stärke und Kraft. Gepriesen sei Gott.
