2 Se non che il Signore fu per noi, Quando gli uomini si levarono contro a noi;	2 Had not the LORD been with us, when people rose against us,
3 Essi ci avrebbero tranghiottiti tutti vivi, Allora che l’ira loro ardeva contro a noi;	3 They would have swallowed us alive, for their fury blazed against us.
4 Allora le acque ci avrebbero inondati; Il torrente sarebbe passato sopra l’anima nostra;	4 The waters would have engulfed us, the torrent overwhelmed us;
5 Allora le acque gonfiate Sarebbero passate sopra l’anima nostra	5 seething waters would have drowned us.
6 Benedetto sia il Signore, Che non ci ha dati in preda a’ lor denti.	6 Blessed be the LORD, who did not leave us to be torn by their fangs.
