1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
2 Dio abbia pietà di noi e ci benedica,
su di noi faccia splendere il suo volto;
2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
3 perché si conosca sulla terra la tua via,
fra tutte le genti la tua salvezza.

3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
4 Ti lodino i popoli, Dio,
ti lodino i popoli tutti.
4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
5 Esultino le genti e si rallegrino,
perché giudichi i popoli con giustizia,
governi le nazioni sulla terra.

5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Ti lodino i popoli, Dio,
ti lodino i popoli tutti.
6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
7 La terra ha dato il suo frutto.
Ci benedica Dio, il nostro Dio,
7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
8 ci benedica Dio
e lo temano tutti i confini della terra.
