Amós 1

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Palabras de Amós, uno de los pastores de Técoa. Esto es lo que vio acerca de Israel en tiempos de Ozías, rey de Judá, y en tiempos de Jeroboam, hijo de Joás, rey de Israel, dos años antes del terremoto.	1 The words of Amos, who was among the herdman of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
2 El dijo: El Señor ruge desde Sión y desde Jerusalén hace oír su voz: los campos de pastoreo están desolados y se ha secado la cumbre del Carmelo.	2 And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.
3 Así habla el Señor: Por tres crímenes de Damasco, y por cuatro, no revocaré mi sentencia. Porque trillaron a Galaad con trilladoras de hierro,	3 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:
4 yo enviaré fuego contra la casa de Jazael, y él consumirá los palacios de Ben Hadad;	4 But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.
5 haré saltar el cerrojo de Damasco, extirparé de Bicat Aven a los habitantes y de Bet Eden al que empuña el cetro, y el pueblo de Aram será deportado a Quir –dice el Señor.	5 I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.
6 Así habla el Señor: Por tres crímenes de Gaza, y por cuatro, no revocaré mi sentencia. Porque deportaron poblaciones enteras para entregarlas a Edom,	6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:
7 yo enviaré fuego contra los muros y de Gaza y él consumirá sus palacios;	7 But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:
8 extirparé de Asdod a los habitantes, y de Ascalón al que empuña el cetro; volveré mi mano contra Edom, y el resto de los filisteos perecerá, dice el Señor.	8 And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.
9 Así habla el Señor: Por tres crímenes de Tiro, y por cuatro, no revocaré mi sentencia. Porque entregaron a Edom poblaciones enteras de cautivos, sin acordarse de una alianza entre hermanos,	9 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:
10 yo enviaré fuego contra los muros de Tiro y él consumirá sus palacios.	10 But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.
11 Así habla el Señor: Por tres crímenes de Edom, y por cuatro, no revocaré mi sentencia. Porque persiguió a su hermano con la espada y ahogó todo sentimiento de piedad; porque conserva su enojo para siempre y mantiene incesantemente su furor,	11 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
12 yo enviaré fuego contra Temán y él consumirá los palacios de Bosrá.	12 But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
13 Así habla el Señor: Por tres crímenes de los amonitas, y por cuatro, no revocaré mi sentencia. Porque abrieron el vientre de las embarazadas de Galaad, a fin de ensanchar su propio territorio,	13 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:
14 yo incendiaré los muros de Rabá y el fuego consumirá sus palacios, entre gritos de guerra, en un día de combate, entre la borrasca, en un día de tempestad;	14 But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
15 y su rey irá al cautiverio, junto con todos sus oficiales, dice el Señor.	15 And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.
