1 Adunque niuna cosa di dannazione hanno coloro, che sono in Iesù Cristo, e non vanno secondo la carne.	1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who are not walking according to the flesh.
2 Chè la legge della vita spirituale, ch' è in Iesù Cristo, sì m' ha liberato dalla legge del peccato e della morte.	2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and death.
3 E quella cosa, che la legge non potea fare per la fievolezza della carne, Dio sì la fece [mandando il Figliuolo suo] in questo mondo in simiglianza di carne di peccato, [e di peccato condannò il peccato] nella carne,	3 For though this was impossible under the law, because it was weakened by the flesh, God sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and because of sin, in order to condemn sin in the flesh,
4 [acciò] che la giustizia della legge si adempisse in noi, che non andiamo secondo la carne, ma secondo il spirito.	4 so that the justification of the law might be fulfilled in us. For we are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.
5 Imperò che quelli che vanno secondo la carne, quelle cose che sono della carne sanno (e sentono); e quelli che vanno secondo il spirito, le cose dello spirito sentono.	5 For those who are in agreement with the flesh are mindful of the things of the flesh. But those who are in agreement with the spirit are mindful of the things of the spirit.
6 Certamente la prudenza della carne si è morte; e la prudenza dello spirito sì è pace e vita.	6 For the prudence of the flesh is death. But the prudence of the spirit is life and peace.
7 Imperò che la sapienza della carne sì è inimica di Dio; chè alla legge di Dio non è sottoposta, perchè non può.	7 And the wisdom of the flesh is inimical to God. For it is not subject to the law of God, nor can it be.
8 E quelli che son nei desiderii della carne, a Dio non possono piacere.	8 So those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.
9 Ma voi non siete nella carne, ma siete nello spirito, se lo spirito di Dio abita in voi; e chiunque non ha il spirito di Cristo, questo cotal non è suo.	9 And you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if it is true that the Spirit of God lives within you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him.
10 Ma se Cristo è in voi, certo il corpo è morto per il peccato, e vive il spirito per la giustificazione.	10 But if Christ is within you, then the body is indeed dead, concerning sin, but the spirit truly lives, because of justification.
11 Ma se il Spirito di quello che suscitò Iesù da morte abita in voi, quello medesimo Dio vivificarà li vostri mortali corpi (che son mortali), per lo Spirito santo il quale dimora in voi.	11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead lives within you, then he who raised up Jesus Christ from the dead shall also enliven your mortal bodies, by means of his Spirit living within you.
12 Adunque, fratelli, non siamo debitori alla carne, [acciò] che noi viviamo secondo la carne.	12 Therefore, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, so as to live according to the flesh.
13 Chè se voi viverete secondo la carne, sì morirete; ma se voi mortificarete li fatti della carne nello spirito (di Dio), sì viverete.	13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die. But if, by the Spirit, you mortify the deeds of the flesh, you shall live.
14 Chè tutti quelli che son menati dallo spirito di Dio, quelli son figliuoli di Dio.	14 For all those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.
15 Chè altra volta non avete ricevuto spirito di servitudine con paura; ma riceveste spirito d'amore di figliuoli di Dio, per il quale spirito noi chiamiamo (il padre): padre.	15 And you have not received, again, a spirit of servitude in fear, but you have received the Spirit of the adoption of sons, in whom we cry out: “Abba, Father!”
16 Chè quello Spirito sì rende testimonianza al spirito nostro, che noi siamo figliuoli di Dio.	16 For the Spirit himself renders testimony to our spirit that we are the sons of God.
17 E se noi siamo figliuoli, saremo eredi (per certo) di Dio e fratelli di Cristo; se così è che noi sostegniamo con Cristo passione, sì saremo con lui glorificati.	17 But if we are sons, then we are also heirs: certainly heirs of God, but also co-heirs with Christ, yet in such a way that, if we suffer with him, we shall also be glorified with him.
18 Chè per certo io mi penso che non son nulla le passioni (e le malagevolezze) di questo mondo appo la gloria che sarà manifestata in noi (nell' altro. mondo).	18 For I consider that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with that future glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 Ma l'aspettamento della creatura sì aspetta rivelamento de' figliuoli di Dio.	19 For the anticipation of the creature anticipates the revelation of the sons of God.
20 Chè la creatura è sottoposta alla vanità, essa medesima non vogliendo, ma per colui il quale la sottomise nella speranza.	20 For the creature was made subject to emptiness, not willingly, but for the sake of the One who made it subject, unto hope.
21 Imperò che quella creatura sarà liberata dalla servitù della corruzione (e dalla vanità), e averà franchezza della gloria dei figliuoli di Dio.	21 For the creature itself shall also be delivered from the servitude of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the sons of God.
22 Sapemo veramente, che ogni creatura sospira, e parturisce infino a questa ora.	22 For we know that every creature groans inwardly, as if giving birth, even until now;
23 E non solamente ella sospira (e parturisce), ma eziandio noi, che avemo le primizie dello spirito, sì sospiriamo intra noi, (e piangiamo) e aspettiamo l' adottamento (e chiamamento) de' figliuoli di Dio, (e aspettiamo) il ricomperamento del nostro corpo.	23 and not only these, but also ourselves, since we hold the first-fruits of the Spirit. For we also groan within ourselves, anticipating our adoption as the sons of God, and the redemption of our body.
24 Chè per la speranza siamo fatti salvi. Quelle cose che si vedono non son speranza; chè quella cosa che l'uomo la vede, come la spera?	24 For we have been saved by hope. But a hope which is seen is not hope. For when a man sees something, why would he hope?
25 Ma se noi quella cosa speriamo (e credemo) che noi non vedemo, (allora) con pazienza aspettiamo.	25 But since we hope for what we do not see, we wait with patience.
26 Simigliantemente lo Spirito Santo aiuta la nostra infermità (e la nostra fragilezza); imperò che noi non sapemo quello che dovemo dimandare quando noi oriamo; ma quello Spirito sì chiede (a Dio) per noi con sospiri, li quali non si possono manifestare nè intendere.	26 And similarly, the Spirit also helps our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself asks on our behalf with ineffable sighing.
27 Ma quello che cerca i cuori, sa bene quello che lo Spirito desidera; imperò ch' elli chiede per li santi (pur quelle cose che sono) secondo Iddio.	27 And he who examines hearts knows what the Spirit seeks, because he asks on behalf of the saints in accordance with God.
28 Sapemo ancora, che ogni cosa s' adopera e ritorna in bene a coloro che amano Dio, li quali sono chiamati Santi secondo la volontà (di Dio).	28 And we know that, for those who love God, all things work together unto good, for those who, in accordance with his purpose, are called to be saints.
29 Chè costoro Dio li cognoscette (inanzi che fossero nati), e predestinogli che fussero della forma secondo la imagine del suo Figliuolo, acciò quel suo figliuolo (cioè Cristo) sia lo (più) maggiore (e più onorato) tra (questi suoi) molti fratelli.	29 For those whom he foreknew, he also predestinated, in conformity with the image of his Son, so that he might be the Firstborn among many brothers.
30 E quelli medesimi che Dio predestinò, sì gli chiamò; e quelli ch' egli chiamò, sì li fece giusti; e quelli ch' egli giustificò, sì li fece grandi.	30 And those whom he predestinated, he also called. And those whom he called, he also justified. And those whom he justified, he also glorified.
31 Adunque che diremo appresso di queste cose? se Dio è per noi, chi sarà contra noi?	31 So, what should we say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
32 Chè quelli che eziandio al suo proprio Figliuolo non perdonò, ch' egli nol dèsse per tutti a morte, come non ci perdonerà a noi tutte le nostre peccata? (Certo sì farà).	32 He who did not spare even his own Son, but handed him over for the sake of us all, how could he not also, with him, have given us all things?
33 Chi accusarà dinanzi da Dio contra li suoi eletti? Dio, che gli giustifica.	33 Who will make an accusation against the elect of God? God is the One who justifies;
34 E chi è quelli che gli avrà a condannare? Iesù Cristo, che fu morto e resuscitato, il quale è (a lato) alla mano diritta di Dio, il quale eziandio prega per noi.	34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus who has died, and who has indeed also risen again, is at the right hand of God, and even now he intercedes for us.
35 Adunque chi ne dispartirà dallo amore di Cristo sarà tribulazione? o angoscia? o persecuzione? o fame? o nudità? o pericolo? ovver coltello? (che ci dispartirà dal suo amore)?	35 Then who will separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation? Or anguish? Or famine? Or nakedness? Or peril? Or persecution? Or the sword?
36 Chè egli è scritto (nel salterio: Signore Dio): per te tutt'i dì siamo morti, e siamo prezzati secondo che le pecore al macello.	36 For it is as it has been written: “For your sake, we are being put to death all day long. We are being treated like sheep for the slaughter.”
37 Ma in tutte queste cose noi sì vincemo, per amor di colui che noi amò.	37 But in all these things we overcome, because of him who has loved us.
38 Chè io son certo, che nè morte nè vita, nè angeli nè principati, nè le virtù nè quelle cose che sono ora, nè quelle che verranno, nè fortezza,	38 For I am certain that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor Principalities, nor Powers, nor the present things, nor the future things, nor strength,
39 nè altezza, nè profondo, nè nulla altra creatura potrà noi partire dalla carità di Dio, qual è in Cristo Iesù nostro Signore.	39 nor the heights, nor the depths, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
