1 Signore, io ho udito quello che tu m' hai detto e hai voluto ch' io oda, e ho temuto. Signore, vivifica l'opera tua nel mezzo delli anni.	1 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.
2 Tu la farai la manifesta nel mezzo degli anni; e quando tu sarai adirato, ti raccorderai della misericordia.	2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
3 Dio verrà della parte australe, e il santo verrà dal monte Faran. La gloria sua ha coperti li cieli, e la terra è piena della laude sua.	3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
4 Lo splendore suo sarà come la luce; e le corna nelle sue mani. Quivi è nascosa la fortezza sua.	4 And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
5 E dinanzi alla faccia sua andrà la morte. Il diavolo uscirà dinanzi a' suoi piedi.	5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.
6 E stette, e misurò la terra. Ragguardò, e disfece le genti; e furono disfatti i monti del secolo. I monticelli del mondo sono inchinati dalla via della sua eternitade.	6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.
7 Per la iniquità io vidi li padiglioni di Etiopia; e turberannosi le pelli della terra di Madian.	7 I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.
8 Or se' ti tu adirato ne' fiumi, Signore? ovvero è ne' fiumi il furore tuo? ovvero nel mare la indignazione tua? Il quale salirai sopra li cavalli tuoi; e salvera'ti nelle carra tue.	8 Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?
9 Tu risusciterai e rizzerai su l'arco tuo, per osservare alle tribù i giuramenti i quali tu hai parlati (e fatti). Tu dividerai i fiumi delle terre.	9 Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.
10 Ti vidono, e li monti si dolsono; il pelago profondo dell' acque sì passò via. L'abisso diede la voce sua, e la profondità levò le sue mani.	10 The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.
11 Il sole e la luna stettono nel tabernacolo loro; loro andaranno nella luce delle saette tue, e nello splendore dell' asta tua splendente e percotente.	11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.
12 Nello strepito (tuo) tu conculcherai la terra; e nel furore (tuo) spaventerai le genti.	12 Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.
13 Tu se' venuto per la salute del popolo tuo, a salvarci con Cristo tuo. Tu hai percosso il capo della casa dello empio; e dinudasti il fondamento suo insino al collo.	13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.
14 Tu maledicesti le signorie sue, il capo dei suoi combattitori, i quali venivano come forti venti a dispergermi. L'allegrezza loro è come l'allegrezza di colui che divora il povero di nascoso.	14 Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.
15 Tu hai fatto la via nel mare a' cavalli tuoi, nello loto delle molte acque.	15 Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through the heap of great waters.
16 Io l'udi', e conturbossi il ventre mio; e dalla voce tremarono le labbra mie. Entri la puzza nell' ossa mie, ed escami di sotto con impeto, acciò ch' io mi riposi nel dì della tribulazione, acciò ch' io salisca al popolo nostro apparecchiato ad andare.	16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.
17 Però che il fico non fiorirà, e non sarà germoglio nelle vigne. L'opera dell' ulivo mentirà, e li campi non daranno cibo. Sarà tolta la pecora dello ovile, e non sarà armento ne' presepi.	17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 Ma io mi goderò nel Signore, e rallegrerommi in Iesù mio Idio.	18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 Lo Signore Iddio è la mia fortezza; ed egli porrà i miei piedi, come li piedi de' cervi. E sopra i luoghi miei alti esso vittorioso mi menerà cantando salmi.	19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
