Michea 6

BIBBIA VOLGARE	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 Udite le parole le quali lo Signore parla: lìèvati suso, e contendi con giudicio contro alli monti, e li colli odano la voce del Signore.	1 Listen to what the Lord says: Rise, contend in judgment against the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice.
2 Odano li monti lo giudicio del Signore, e li forti fondamenti della terra; però che lo giudicio del Signore è con lo popolo suo, e sarà giudicato con Israel.	2 Let the mountains listen to the judgment of the Lord, and the strong foundations of the earth. For the judgment of the Lord is with his people, and he will enter into judgment with Israel.
3 O popolo mio, che ho io fatto a te, o vero in che fui io molesto a te? rispondimi.	3 My people, what have I done to you, or how have I assailed you? Respond to me.
4 Però ch' io ti menai della terra d' Egitto, e liberai te della casa della servitù, e mandai inanzi alla tua faccia Moisè e Aaron e Maria?	4 For I led you out of the land of Egypt, and I freed you from the house of servitude, and I sent before your face Moses, and Aaron, and Miriam.
5 O popolo mio, priegoti che ti ricordi di quello che pensò Balac, re di Moab, e che gli rispuose Balaam, figliuolo di Beor, di Setim insino a Galgala, acciò che tu conoscessi lo giudicio del Signore e la sua giustizia.	5 My people, remember, I ask you, what Balak the king of Moab planned, and how Balaam the son of Beor responded to him, from Shittim even to Gilgal, so that you may know the justice of the Lord.
6 Or che degna cosa offerrò io a Dio? io non m' inginocchierò dinanzi all' alto Dio? e [non] offerrò io a lui lo sacrificio, ovvero li vitelli d' uno anno?	6 What worthy thing might I offer to the Lord, as I bend the knee before God on high? How could I offer holocausts to him, and one year-old calves?
7 Or puotesi (adumiliare e) pacificare Iddio per migliaia di montoni, ovvero per migliaia di molti becchi grassi? Or darò io per la mia fellonia lo primogenito del mio ventre per lo peccato dell' anima mia?	7 Would the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with many thousands of fat he-goats? How could I give up my firstborn because of my evil deed, the fruit of my womb because of the sin of my soul?
8 O uomo, io dimostrerò a te qual cosa sia buona, e qual cosa lo Signore ricercherà da te; questa cerca, di fare giudicio, e amare la misericordia, ed essere sollecito di andare collo tuo Iddio.	8 I will reveal to you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requires from you, and how to act with judgment, and to love mercy, and to walk carefully with your God.
9 La voce del Signore grida alla cittade, e la salute sarà a tutti quelli che temono lo suo nome: o tribù (e schiatte), udite; chi approverà quello?	9 The voice of the Lord cries out to the city, “Listen, you tribes,” and who will confirm it? And salvation will be for those who fear your name.
10 Ancora lo fuoco è nella casa del malvagio, e li tesori della iniquitade, e la misura minore è piena d'ira.	10 Nevertheless, there is a fire in the house of the impious, the treasury of iniquity, and a small measure, filled with wrath.
11 Or farò io giusta la stadera malvagia, e li falsi pesi de' sacchi?	11 Shall I justify unfaithful balances, and the deceitful weighing of a small bag?
12 Nelli quali i suoi ricchi sono ripieni di malvagitade, e gli abitanti in quella parlavano bugia, e la loro lingua era ingannevole nella loro bocca.	12 By this, her wealthy have been filled with iniquity, and her inhabitants have spoken lies, and their tongue was deceitful in their mouth.
13 Per la qual cosa io cominciai a percuotere te con uccisione per li peccati tuoi.	13 And I, therefore, began to strike you with perdition because of your sins.
14 Tu mangerai, e non ti saturerai; e la tua umiliazione sarà nel mezzo di te; e apprenderai, e non salverai; e quelli che tu averai fatti salvi, io li metterò al coltello.	14 You will consume and not be satisfied, and your humiliation will be in your midst. And you will take hold, and not save, and those whom you will save, I will deliver to the sword.
15 Tu seminerai, e non mieterai; tu infrangerai le ulive, e non avrai dell' olio; tu pigerai l' uve, e non berai del mosto.	15 You will sow, and not reap. You will tread the olives, and not be anointed with oil, and crush the grapes, and not drink the wine.
16 Tu osservasti li comandamenti di Amri, e ogni operazione della casa di Acab; e andasti nelle dilettazioni loro, per ch' io dèssi te in perdizione, e ancora quelli che abitano in quella; e tu porterai lo sufolo e lo vituperio del popolo mio. (Noi doviamo sapere che loro, quando voleano fare altrui una grande vergogna e vituperio, il sufolavano, come noi ancora usiamo di fare certe stagioni e casi, quando accade il bisogno).	16 For you have kept the precepts of Omri, and all the works of the house of Ahab. And you have walked according their wills, so that I should give you over to perdition and its hissing inhabitants, and you would carry the disgrace of my people.
