Osea 5

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Sacerdoti, udite questo; e pònti cura, tu casa d'Israel; e tu, casa di re, ascoltate; però che a voi è dirizzato lo giudicio, e siete fatto laccio alla speculazione, e come la rete espansa sopra Tabor (cioè una città).	1 Hear this, you priests, listen, House of Israel, pay attention, royal House, for it is you who have justice inyour care, but you have been a snare at Mizpah and a net outspread on Tabor.
2 E declinaste come le bestie del sacrificio nel profondo; e io sono dirizzatore di tutte loro.	2 They have dug the ditch deep at Shittim and so I am going to punish them al .
3 E so che Efraim e Israel non sono nascosi da me, (quasi dica ch' io so ogni cosa); però che Efraim ora hae commesso fornicazione, e Israel è contaminato.	3 Ephraim have I known, Israel is not hidden from me; and yet, Ephraim, you have played the whore,Israel is befouled.
4 Loro non daranno le loro cogitazioni per ritornare allo Signore Iddio; però che lo spirito della fornicazione si è nel mezzo di loro, e non cognoscerono lo Signore.	4 Their deeds do not al ow them to return to their God, since an urge to play the whore possesses themand they no longer know Yahweh.
5 L'arroganza d' Israel risponderà nella sua faccia; e Israel ed Efraim rovinerà nella sua malvagitade; e anche Giuda rovinerà con loro.	5 Israel's arrogance is his accuser, the guilt of Israel and Ephraim is their undoing, Judah too wil beundone with them.
6 Colle sue greggie e colli suoi armenti anderà e richiederà lo suo Iddio, e non lo ritroverà; però che li sarà tolto.	6 Though they go in search of Yahweh with their sheep and cattle, they wil not find him; he haswithdrawn from them.
7 E prevaricarono contro a Dio, però che generarono li figliuoli d'altrui; ora li divorerà la ricolta. con loro partorimenti.	7 They have betrayed Yahweh because they have fathered bastards; now the new moon wil devourthem and their fields.
8 Suonate colla trombetta in Gabaa, e con la tromba in Rama; urlate in Betaven (cioè una terra), dopo il tuo dorso, o tu Beniamin, (cioè voi di quella schiatta, la quale ebbe nome Beniamin, lo quale fu lo minore figliuolo di Iacob).	8 Sound the horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah, raise the war cry in Beth-Aven, 'We are behind you,Benjamin!'
9 Efraim sarà in desolazione nel dì della correzione; nelle tribù d' Israel sì mostrerò la fede.	9 When the day of punishment comes, Ephraim wil be a wasteland; on the tribes of Israel I havepronounced certain doom.
10 E furono fatti li principi di Giuda quasi come riceventi il termine; sopra loro spargerò la mia ira, quasi come acqua.	10 The rulers of Judah act like men who move the boundary stone; I shall pour my wrath out on them likea flood.
11 E farò calunnia e miseria a te, Efraim, che se' rotto in giudicio; però che cominciò ad andare dopo le brutture.	11 Ephraim is oppressed, crushed by the sentence, for having deliberately fol owed a Lie.
12 E io sarò come una tignuola a te, Efraim, e come fastidio alla casa di Giuda.	12 Because of this, I shall be like ringworm for Ephraim and like gangrene for the House of Judah.
13 Ed Efraim vide lo suo languore, e Giuda vide lo suo legame; ed Efraim andò ad Assur, (cioè quelli della schiatta, che si chiama Efraim, andarono a quelli della contrada che si chiama Assur), e mandò a loro lo re vendicatore; ed egli non vi potrà sanare, e non potrà isciogliere da voi lo legame.	13 Once Ephraim realised that he was sick and Judah that he had an ulcer, Ephraim then went toAssyria, he sent messengers to the Great King; but he has no power to cure you or to heal you of your sore;
14 Però ch' io sarò addosso ad Efraim, quasi come una leonessa; (dice per più ferocità; però che la bestia, quando figlia, sì è molto feroce per la cura de' figliuoli); e sarò alla casa di Giuda sì come figliuolo dello leone. E io piglierò, e anderò; e torrò, e non sarà chi difenda.	14 for I shal be like a lion to Ephraim, like a young lion to the House of Judah; I myself shal rend them,then go my way, shal carry them off, beyond hope of rescue.
15 E andando ritornerò al mio luogo, infino a tanto che voi vegnate meno, e domandiate la mia faccia.	15 I shal go back to my place until they confess their guilt and seek me, seek me eagerly in their distress.
