Isaia 6

BIBBIA VOLGARE	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Nell' anno il quale morì il re Ozia, io vidi sedere il Signore sopra una sedia grande e levata; (e la casa era piena della sua maestà), e quelle cose che erano sotto lui riempievano il tempio.	1 In the year that king Ozias died, I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne high and elevated: and his train filled the temple.
2 Li Serafini stavano di sopra quello; ed erano sei ale ad uno, e sei all' altro; e con due ale velavano la sua faccia, e con due ale velavano i suoi piedi, e con due ali volavano.	2 Upon it stood the seraphims: the one had six wings, and the other had six wings: with two they covered his face, and with two they covered his feet, and with two they hew.
3 E gridavano l'uno all' altro, e dicevano: santo, santo, santo, Signore Iddio degli eserciti, piena è ogni terra della sua gloria.	3 And they cried one to another, and said: Holy, holy, holy, the Lord God of hosts, all the earth is full of his glory.
4 E alla voce di colui che gridava son commossi li sopra sogliari de' cardini, e la casa fu piena di fumo.	4 And the lintels of the doors were moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 E io dissi: guai a me! imperciò che io tacetti, imperciò che fui uomo il quale hae i labbri polluti, e abito nel mezzo del popolo che ha le labbra corrutte, e hoe veduto il re Signore delli eserciti colli miei occhi.	5 And I said: Woe is me, because I have held my peace; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people that hath unclean lips, and I have seen with my eyes the King the Lord of hosts.
6 E voloe uno delli Serafini a me; e nella mano sua era una pietra picciola ritonda e durissima (e parea ignita di fuoco), la quale è detta calcolo, il quale [lo] Serafino avea tolto dell' altare colla forfece.	6 And one of the seraphims flew to me, and in his hand was a live coal, which he had taken with the tongs off the altar.
7 E toccò la mia bocca, e sì mi disse: ecco io hoe toccate le tue labbra, e sarà tolta da te la tua iniquità, e sarae il tuo peccato mondato.	7 And he touched my mouth, and said: Behold this hath touched thy lips, and thy iniquities shall be taken away, and thy sin shall be cleansed.
8 E udi' io la voce del Signore dicente: chi manderò? e chi girà per noi? E io dissi: ecco me (Signore), manda me.	8 And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send? and who shall go for us? And I said: Lo, here am I, send me.
9 E disse: va, e dirai a questo popolo: audite voi che udite, e non vogliate intendere; e vedete la visione, e non vogliate conoscere.	9 And he said: Go, and thou shalt say to this people: Hearing, hear, and understand not: and see the vision, and know it not.
10 Acceca il cuore di questo popolo, e aggrava li suoi orecchi, e chiudi li suoi occhi, acciò che non veggia colli suoi occhi, e non oda colle sue orecchie, e non intenda col suo cuore, e convertasi, e poi lo liberi.	10 Blind the heart of this people, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes: lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted and I heal them.
11 E io dissi: Signore, quanto tempo sarà questo? E disse il Signore: dinfino a tanto che le cittadi saranno desolate sanza abitatore, e le case sanza alcuno uomo, e la terra rimarrà deserta.	11 And I said: How long, O Lord? And he said: Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land shall be left desolate.
12 E da lungi manderà gli uomini il Signore, e sarae multiplicata quella che istà derelitta in mezzo della terra.	12 And the Lord shall remove men far away, and she shall be multiplied that was left in the midst of the earth.
13 E ancora è in lei la decimazione; e convertirassi e sarae nel conspetto di tutti come terebinto e quercia la quale li suoi rami spande; seme santo sarae quello che istarae in lei.	13 And there shall be still a tithing therein, and she shall turn, and shall be made a show as a turpentine tree, and as an oak that spreadeth its branches: that which shall stand therein, shall be a holy seed.
