BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Salmo di David. O anima mia, benedici al Signore; ed etiam tutte le mie interiore benedicano al nome santo suo.	1 [Prayer of someone afflicted, who in misfortune pours out sorrows before Yahweh] Yahweh, hear myprayer, let my cry for help reach you.
2 Benedici, o anima mia, al Signore; e non ti volere dimenticare le retribuzioni sue.	2 Do not turn away your face from me when I am in trouble; bend down and listen to me, when I cal ,be quick to answer me!
3 Egli ha misericordia di tutte le tue iniquità; egli sana tutte le tue infirmità.	3 For my days are vanishing like smoke, my bones burning like an oven;
4 Egli dalla morte ricompera la tua vita; egli corona te nelle miserazioni e misericordia.	4 like grass struck by blight, my heart is withering, I forget to eat my meals.
5 Egli riempie di beni il desio tuo; rinnovarassi come aquila la gioventù tua.	5 From the effort of voicing my groans my bones stick out through my skin.
6 Faciente è il Signore misericordia, e giudicio a tutti la ingiuria sostinenti.	6 I am like a desert-owl in the wastes, a screech-owl among ruins,
7 A Moisè manifestò le vie sue a' figliuoli d'Israel le volontà sue.	7 I keep vigil and moan like a lone bird on a roof.
8 Il Signore miseratore è, e misericordioso; longanime, e molto misericordioso.	8 Al day long my enemies taunt me, those who once praised me now use me as a curse.
9 Non si adirarà in perpetuo; e in eterno non minaccerà.	9 Ashes are the food that I eat, my drink is mingled with tears,
10 A noi non fece secondo li nostri peccati; nè ci retribuirà secondo le nostre iniquità.	10 because of your fury and anger, since you have raised me up only to cast me away;
11 Però che secondo l'altezza del cielo alla terra, firmò la sua misericordia sopra coloro che il temono.	11 my days are like a fading shadow, I am withering up like grass.
12 Quanto sta lontano il levante dal ponente, così da noi fece lontane le nostre iniquità.	12 But you, Yahweh, are enthroned for ever, each generation in turn remembers you.
13 Come il padre ha misericordia de' figliuoli, così il Signore ha avuto misericordia de' suoi tementi;	13 Rise up, take pity on Zion! the time has come to have mercy on her, the moment has come;
14 per che cognobbe la nostra fragile formazione. Si ricordò come siamo polvere;	14 for your servants love her very stones, are moved to pity by her dust.
15 così l'uomo, come fieno; e li suoi giorni come il fiore del campo caderanno.	15 Then wil the nations revere the name of Yahweh, and al the kings of the earth your glory;
16 Però che in quello passerà il spirito, e non starà; e più non conoscerà il luogo suo.	16 when Yahweh builds Zion anew, he will be seen in his glory;
17 Sopra di coloro che il temono, da eterno insino in eterno la misericordia del Signore. E la sua giustizia fia ne' figliuoli de' figliuoli,	17 he wil turn to hear the prayer of the destitute, and wil not treat their prayer with scorn.
18 a coloro che servano il testamento suo. E ricordansi de' suoi comandamenti, per fare quelli.	18 This shall be put on record for a future generation, and a people yet to be born shal praise God:
19 Il Signore ha apparecchiato in cielo la sedia sua; e il regno suo a tutti signorizzarà.	19 Yahweh has leaned down from the heights of his sanctuary, has looked down from heaven to earth,
20 Tutti voi, santi suoi, benedicete al Signore, potenti in virtude, che fate l' ordine suo, per udire la voce de' suoi parlari.	20 to listen to the sighing of the captive, and set free those condemned to death,
21 Benedicete al Signore, tutte sue virtù; suoi ministri che fate la volontà [sua].	21 to proclaim the name of Yahweh in Zion, his praise in Jerusalem;
22 Benedicete al Signore, tutte sue opere, in ogni luogo della signoria sua; e tu, anima mia, benedici al Signore.	22 nations wil gather together, and kingdoms to worship Yahweh.
	23 In my journeying my strength has failed on the way;
	24 let me know the short time I have left. Do not take me away before half my days are done, for youryears run on from age to age.
	25 Long ago you laid earth's foundations, the heavens are the work of your hands.
	26 They pass away but you remain; they al wear out like a garment, like outworn clothes you changethem;
	27 but you never alter, and your years never end.
	28 The children of those who serve you wil dwel secure, and their descendants live on in yourpresence.
