1 Se alcuno avrà involato bue ovvero pecora, e uccideralla ovvero la venderà, cinque bue per uno bue restituisca, e quattro pecore per una pecora.	1 If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
2 Se desfacente lo ladro, ovvero cavante la casa fosse trovato, e ricevuta la ferita morto fosse, lo percuotitore non sarà colpevole del sangue.	2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.
3 Ma se, levato lo sole, facesse questo, omicidio avrà perpetrato (cioè fatto), ed egli morrà; se non avrà quello che renda per lo furto fatto, esso sarà venduto.	3 If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
4 Ma se fia trovato appresso di lui quella cosa la quale egli avesse (involato o) furato, e viva fosse, cioè o bue o asino o pecora (o simigliante cosa), doppio la restituisca.	4 If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.
5 Se alcuno guastasse lo campo o la vigna, o lasciassevi la bestia sua acciò che pasca l'altrui, qualunque cosa avrà avuta, per la estimazione del danno ristori a cui sia dovuto restituire.	5 If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.
6 Se venuto il fuoco troverà le spighe, ed arderà li monti delle biade, ovvero stanti le biade nei campi, renda il danno colui che accese il fuoco.	6 If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
7 Se alcuno accommenderà ad alcuno amico pe cunia ovvero vasello in guardia, e da colui che la pecunia avrà ricevuta gli fia involata; se si troverà il ladro, doppia la renda.	7 If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, let him pay double.
8 Ma se si nasconde, lo signore della casa s'ap plicherà alli dii, e giurerà che non abbia isteso la mano alla cosa del prossimo	8 If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour's goods.
9 a trovare fraude così nel bue come nell'asino, e nella pecora e nel vestimento, e qualunque danno fare si puote; pervenga alli dii dell' uno e dell' altro la cagione; e se quelli giudicheranno, doppio restori il prossimo suo.	9 For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.
10 Se alcuno darà in guardia al prossimo suo il bue o la pecora o la bestia, e morto fosse ovvero indebilito, ovvero preso dai nemici (o per atto di ruberia) e niuno questo abbia veduto;	10 If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it:
11 la ragione del giurare sarà nel mezzo, che non abbia isteso la mano alla casa del prossimo suo; e riceva lo signore lo sacramento, (che non abbia isteso la mano) e quegli non sia costretto di rendere.	11 Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good.
12 La qual cosa, se per furto fosse tolta, restituisca al signore suo.	12 And if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof.
13 E se mangiato fosse da bestia (o da alcuna fiera), porti a lui quello ch' è morto, e non gliel mendi.	13 If it be torn in pieces, then let him bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn.
14 Colui che al prossimo suo alcuna cosa di questo chiederà in prestanza, e debilitato o morto fosse, e il signore non vi fosse presente, di rendere sia costretto.	14 And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good.
15 La qual cosa, se nelle dette cose presente fue il signore, non sia mendata, massimamente se fosse venuto condotto per la mercede del lavorio suo.	15 But if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire.
16 Se alcuno corrompesse alcuna vergine che non sia ancora disposata, e dorma con lei, sia costretto di toglierla per moglie.	16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
17 E se il padre della vergine non glie la vo lesse dare, dia la pecunia appresso il modo della dote, secondo che le vergini sono consuete di ricevere.	17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
18 Non sostenere che li malfattori vivano.	18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
19 Chi si impaccerà con le bestie inonestamente, di morte morrà.	19 Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
20 Chi sacrifica agli dii, se non al Signore Iddio solo, sia morto.	20 He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.
21 Lo forestiere non contristerai, nè non affli gerai (troppo); perciò che forestieri voi medesimi foste nella terra d'Egitto.	21 Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
22 Alla vedova nè al pupillo non nuocerai.	22 Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.
23 Perciò che se offenderai loro, e grideranno a me, e udirò lo rumore loro,	23 If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;
24 e indignerassi lo furore mio, io percuoterò voi col coltello, e saranno le mogli vostre vedove, e li figliuoli pupilli.	24 And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
25 Se la pecunia prestata darai al popolo mio, lo quale è povero, e il quale abita teco, non (lo) costringerai quasi come esattore, nè coll'usure non l'opprimerai.	25 If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.
26 Se pegno torrai dal prossimo tuo (bestia o) vestimento, innanzi che il sole sia calato, rendigli quello.	26 If thou at all take thy neighbour's raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun goeth down:
27 Pero che in verità solo quello vestimento è col quale si copre la carne sua, nè non avrà altro nel quale egli dorma. Se egli chiamerà a me, io lo esaudirò; perciò ch' io sono misericordioso.	27 For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.
28 Ma non dir male degli dii; il principe del popolo tuo non maledicerai.	28 Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.
29 Le decime nè le primizie non tarderai di offerire. Lo primogenito de' tuoi figliuoli darai a me.	29 Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.
30 E del bue e delle pecore somigliantemente il fa: sette di istia colla madre sua, e il dì ottavo rendi quello a me.	30 Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep: seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it me.
31 Comini santi sarete a me: la carne, che dalle bestie sarà innanzi assaggiata, non ne mani cate, ma gittatela ai cani.	31 And ye shall be holy men unto me: neither shall ye eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.
