1 Nel primo anno di Ciro re di Persia, acciò che fosse compiuta la parola di Dio detta per Ieremia, suscitoe il Signore lo spirito di Ciro re di Persia; e mandò la voce per tutto il suo reame, e anche per scrittura, dicendo:	1 In the first year of Cyrus, king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD spoken by Jeremiah, the LORD inspired King Cyrus of Persia to issue this proclamation throughout his kingdom, both by word of mouth and in writing:
2 Questo dice Ciro re di Persia: tutti i regni della terra mi ha dato il Signore Iddio del cielo; egli mi comandò ch' io gli facessi casa in Ierusalem, la quale è in Giudea.	2 "Thus says Cyrus, king of Persia: 'All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD, the God of heaven, has given to me, and he has also charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
3 Quale è in voi di tutto il popolo suo? Sia Iddio con esso lui. Ascenda in Ierusalem, la quale è in Giudea, ed edìfichino la casa del Signore Iddio d' Israel; esso è Iddio il quale è in Ierusalem.	3 Whoever, therefore, among you belongs to any part of his people, let him go up, and may his God be with him!
4 E tutti gli altri in tutti i luoghi, là ovunque àbitano, l'aìtino gli uomini del suo luogo d'ariento e d'oro e di sostanza e animali, fuori di quello volontariamente offeriranno al tempio di Dio, il quale è in Ierusalem.	4 Let everyone who has survived, in whatever place he may have dwelt, be assisted by the people of that place with silver, gold, goods, and cattle, together with free-will offerings for the house of God in Jerusalem.'"
5 E levaronsi i prìncipi de' padri di Giuda e di Beniamin, i sacerdoti e i Leviti, e ciascuno lo spirito del quale Iddio suscitoe, ad ascendere (in Ierusalem) ad edificare il tempio del Signore, il quale era in Ierusalem.	5 Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and Levites--everyone, that is, whom God had inspired to do so--prepared to go up to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem.
6 E tutti quelli ch' erano dintorno, aiutarli con le loro mani in vasa d'ariento e d'oro e in sostanza e animali e massarizie, sopra quelle cose che di volontà aveano offerte.	6 All their neighbors gave them help in every way, with silver, gold, goods, and cattle, and with many precious gifts besides all their free-will offerings.
7 E il re Ciro mandò le vasa del tempio del Signore, le quali avea portate il re Nabucodonosor di Ierusalem, e avea poste nel tempio del suo iddio.	7 King Cyrus, too, had the utensils of the house of the LORD brought forth which Nebuchadnezzar had taken away from Jerusalem and placed in the house of his god.
8 E mandolle Ciro per mano di Mitridate figliuolo di Gazabar, e annumerolle Sassabasar al principe di Giuda.	8 Cyrus, king of Persia, had them brought forth by the treasurer Mithredath, and counted out to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.
9 E questo è il numero di quelle, cioè: trenta fiale d'oro, mille fiale d'ariento, XXVIIII coltri, e XXX nappi d'oro,	9 This was the inventory: sacks of goldware, thirty; sacks of silverware, one thousand and twenty-nine;
10 nappi secondi d'ariento CCCCX, ed altre vasa mille.	10 golden bowls, thirty; silver bowls, four hundred and ten; other ware, one thousand pieces.
11 Tutte le vasa d'oro e d'ariento V milia CCCC; tutte le portoe Sassabasar, con coloro che della trasmigrazione di Bibilonia ascendeano in Ierusalem.	11 Total of the gold-and silver ware: five thousand four hundred pieces. All these Sheshbazzar took with him when the exiles were brought back from Babylon to Jerusalem.
