Levitico 9

1 Or venuto l'ottavo giorno, Mosè, chiamati Aronne, i figli di lui e gli anziani di Israele, disse ad Aronne:	1 On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel;
2 « Prendi dall'armento un vitello per il peccato, e un montone per l'olocausto, ambedue senza difetto, e offrili davanti al Signore.	2 he said to Aaron, 'Take a calf to offer a sacrifice for sin, and a ram for a burnt offering, both withoutblemish, and bring them before Yahweh.
3 E dirai ai figli d'Israele: Prendete un capro per il peccato, un vitello e un agnello d'un anno e senza difetto per l'olocausto,	3 Then say to the Israelites, "Take a goat to be offered as a sacrifice for sin, a calf and a lamb one yearold (both without blemish) for a burnt offering,
4 un bue e un montone per un sacrifizio pacifico, e immolateli dinanzi al Signore, offrendo nel sacrifizio di ciascuno di essi fior di farina intrisa con olio; perchè oggi il Signore vi apparirà ».	4 a bul and a ram for communion sacrifices to be slaughtered before Yahweh, and a cereal offeringmixed with oil. For Yahweh wil appear to you today." '
5 Essi adunque portarono tutte le cose che Mosè aveva ordinato, alla porta del Tabernacolo, dove, mentre tutta la moltitudine stava in piedi. Mosè disse:	5 They brought what Moses had ordered in front of the Tent of Meeting; then the whole communityapproached and stood before Yahweh.
6 « Questo è il comandamento che il Signore vi ha dato: eseguitelo e la sua gloria vi apparirà ».	6 Moses then said, 'This is what Yahweh has ordered you to do, so that his glory may be visible to you.'
7 Poi disse ad Aronne: « Accostati all'altare e sacrifica per il tuo peccato: offri l'olocausto, e prega per te e per il popolo: immolata che avrai la vittima del popolo, prega per esso, come il Signore ha comandato ».	7 Moses then addressed Aaron, 'Go to the altar and offer your sacrifice for sin and your burnt offering,and so perform the rite of expiation for yourself and your family. Then present the people's offering and performthe rite of expiation for them, as Yahweh has ordered.'
8 E subito Aronne, accostatosi all'altare, immolò il vitello pel suo peccato.	8 Aaron went to the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sacrifice for his own sin.
9 I figli suoi gliene presentarono il sangue, ed egli, intinto in essi il dito, toccò i corni dell'altare, e sparse il rimanente appiè dell'altare.	9 Aaron's sons then presented the blood to him; he dipped his finger in it and put some on the horns ofthe altar, and then poured the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar.
10 Ma il grasso, i reni, la rete del fegato, che sono per il peccato, lì bruciò sull'altare, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè;	10 The fat of the sacrifice for sin and the kidneys and the mass of fat over the liver he burned on the altar,as Yahweh had ordered Moses,
11 invece la carne e la pelle le bruciò fuori dell'accampamento.	11 and the meat and the skin he burned outside the camp.
12 Immolò anche la vittima dell'olocausto; i suoi figli ne presentarono il sangue che egli sparse intorno all'altare.	12 He then slaughtered the burnt offering; Aaron's sons then handed him the blood, which he poured alaround the altar.
13 Gli presentarono pure la vittima tagliata a pezzi, il capo e tutte le membra, ed egli fece bruciar tutto ciò sull'altare,	13 They then handed him the quartered victim and the head, and he burned these on the altar.
14 dopo averne lavati con acqua gl'intestini e i piedi.	14 He then washed the entrails and shins and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar.
15 Sacrificando poi per il peccato del popolo, immolò il capro, ed espiato l'altare,	15 He then presented the people's offering. He took the goat for the people's sacrifice for sin, slaughteredit, and made a sacrifice for sin with it in the same way as with the first.
16 fece l'olocausto,	16 He then had the burnt offering brought forward and proceeded according to the ritual.
17 aggiungendo al sacrifizio le libazioni, che parimente sono offerte, e facendole bruciar sull'altare, oltre le cerimonie dell'olocausto del mattino.	17 He then had the cereal offering brought forward, took a handful of it and burned it on the altar inaddition to the morning burnt offering.
18 Immolò pure il bue e il montone, ostie pacifiche del popolo; i suoi figli ne presentarono il sangue che egli sparse sull'altare, tutto all'intorno.	18 Then he slaughtered the bul and the ram as a communion sacrifice for the people. Aaron's sonshanded him the blood and he poured it al around the altar.
19 Ma il grasso del bove, la coda del montone, i reni col loro grasso, e la rete del fegato	19 The fat of the bul and the ram, the tail, the covering fat, the kidneys, the mass of fat over the liver,
20 li posero sopra i petti; e, quando sopra l'altare furono bruciati i grassi,	20 he placed on the ribs and then burned on the altar.
21 Aronne mise a parte i petti e le spalle destre, alzandoli davanti al Signore, come Mosè aveva ordinato.	21 With the ribs and the right thigh Aaron made the gesture of offering as Yahweh had ordered Moses.
22 Poi, stesa la mano verso il popolo, lo benedisse. E così, dopo aver compiuto il sacrifizio per il peccato, l'olocausto e l'oblazione dell'ostie pacifiche, discese.	22 Aaron then raised his hands towards the people and blessed them. Having thus performed thesacrifice for sin, the burnt offering and the communion sacrifice, he came down
23 Intanto Mosè ed Aronne entrarono nel Tabernacolo della testimonianza, dal quale poi usciti, benedissero il popolo, E la gloria del Signore apparve a tutta la moltitudine:	23 and entered the Tent of Meeting with Moses. Then they came out together to bless the people and theglory of Yahweh appeared to the entire people:
24 un fuoco, uscito dal Signore, divorò l'olocausto c tutti i grassi che erano sull'altare. La qual cosa avendo veduto il popolo, diede lode al Signore, gettandosi bocconi per terra.	24 a flame leapt out from Yahweh's presence and consumed the burnt offering and fat on the altar. At thissight the entire people shouted for joy and fel on their faces.
