Isaia 18

1 Guai alla terra dal cembalo alato, che è oltre i fiumi dell'Etiopia,	1 Ah, land of buzzing insects, beyond the rivers of Ethiopia,
2 la quale manda attraverso il mare ambasciatori su barche di papiro che van per l'acqua. Andate, nunzi veloci, alla nazione sconvolta e lacerata, al terribile popolo oltre il quale non ve n'è altro, alla nazione che aspetta calpestata, la cui terra è portata via dai fiumi.	2 Sending ambassadors by sea, in papyrus boats on the waters! Go, swift messengers, to a nation tall and bronzed, To a people dreaded near and far, a nation strong and conquering, whose land is washed by rivers.
3 Voi tutti, abitatori del mondo che dimorate sulla terra, quando lo stendardo sarà inalzato sui monti, lo vedrete, e sentirete il suono della tromba.	3 All you who inhabit the world, who dwell on earth, When the signal is raised on the mountain, look! When the trumpet blows, listen!

7 In quel tempo saran portati doni al Signore degli eserciti, dal popolo sconvolto e lacerato, dal terribile popolo oltre il quale non ve n'è altro, dalla nazione che aspetta, che aspetta calpestata, la cui terra è portata via dai fiumi, (saran portati) alla dimora del Nome del Signore degli eserciti, alla montagna di Sion.	7 Then will gifts be brought to the LORD of hosts from a people tall and bronzed, from a people dreaded near and far, a nation strong and conquering, whose land is washed by rivers-to Mount Zion where dwells the name of the LORD of hosts.
