Isaiah (ישעיה) - Isaia 140

STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH	NEW JERUSALEM
1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ מִזְמֹור לְדָוִד	1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Rescue me, Yahweh, from evil men, protect me from violentmen,
2 חַלְּצֵנִי יְהוָה מֵאָדָם רָע מֵאִישׁ חֲמָסִים תִּנְצְרֵנִי	2 whose heart is bent on malice, day after day they harbour strife;
3 אֲשֶׁר חָשְׁבוּ רָעֹות בְּלֵב כָּל־יֹום יָגוּרוּ מִלְחָמֹות	3 their tongues as barbed as a serpent's, viper's venom behind their lips.Pause
4 שָׁנֲנוּ לְשֹׁונָם כְּמֹו־נָחָשׁ חֲמַת עַכְשׁוּב תַּחַת שְׂפָתֵימֹו סֶלָה	4 Keep me, Yahweh, from the clutches of the wicked, protect me from violent men, who are bent onmaking me stumble,laying out snares where I walk,
5 שָׁמְרֵנִי יְהוָה ׀ מִידֵי רָשָׁע מֵאִישׁ חֲמָסִים תִּנְצְרֵנִי אֲשֶׁר חָשְׁבוּ לִדְחֹות פְּעָמָי	5 in their arrogance hiding pitfal and nooseto trap me as I pass.Pause
6 טָמְנוּ־גֵאִים ׀ פַּח לִי וַחֲבָלִים פָּרְשׂוּ רֶשֶׁת לְיַד־מַעְגָּל מֹקְשִׁים שָׁתוּ־לִי סֶלָה	6 I said to Yahweh, 'You are my God.' Listen, Yahweh, to the sound of my prayer.
7 אָמַרְתִּי לַיהוָה אֵלִי אָתָּה הַאֲזִינָה יְהוָה קֹול תַּחֲנוּנָי	7 Yahweh my Lord, my saving strength, you shield my head when battle comes.
8 יְהֹוִה אֲדֹנָי עֹז יְשׁוּעָתִי סַכֹּתָה לְרֹאשִׁי בְּיֹום נָשֶׁק	8 Yahweh, do not grant the wicked their wishes, do not let their plots succeed.Pause Do not let myattackers
9 אַל־תִּתֵּן יְהוָה מַאֲוַיֵּי רָשָׁע זְמָמֹו אַל־תָּפֵק יָרוּמוּ סֶלָה	9 prevail, but let them be overwhelmed by their own malice.
10 רֹאשׁ מְסִבָּי עֲמַל שְׂפָתֵימֹו [יְכַסּוּמֹו כ] (יְכַסֵּמֹו ׃ ק)	10 May red-hot embers rain down on them, may they be flung into the mire once and for all.
11 [יָמִיטוּ כ] (יִמֹּוטוּ ק) עֲלֵיהֶם גֶּחָלִים בָּאֵשׁ יַפִּלֵם בְּמַהֲמֹרֹות בַּל־יָקוּמוּ	11 May the slanderer find no rest anywhere, may evil hunt down violent men implacably.
12 אִישׁ לָשֹׁון בַּל־יִכֹּון בָּאָרֶץ אִישׁ־חָמָס רָע יְצוּדֶנּוּ לְמַדְחֵפֹת	12 I know that Yahweh wil give judgement for the wretched, justice for the needy.
13 [יָדַעְתָּ כ] (יָדַעְתִּי ק) כִּי־יַעֲשֶׂה יְהוָה דִּין עָנִי מִשְׁפַּט אֶבְיֹנִים	13 The upright shal praise your name, the honest dwel in your presence.
14 אַךְ צַדִּיקִים יֹודוּ לִשְׁמֶךָ יֵשְׁבוּ יְשָׁרִים אֶת־פָּנֶיךָ
