Livro dos Salmos 53

SAGRADA BIBLIA	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Ao mestre de canto. Em melodia triste. Hino de Davi. Diz o insensato em seu coração: Não há Deus. Corromperam-se os homens, seu proceder é abominável, não há um só que pratique o bem.	1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
2 O Senhor, do alto do céu, observa os filhos dos homens para ver se, acaso, existe alguém sensato que busque a Deus.	2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
3 Todos eles, porém, se extraviaram e se perverteram; não há mais ninguém que faça o bem, nem um, nem mesmo um só.	3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Não se emendarão esses obreiros do mal? Eles que devoram meu povo como quem come pão, não invocarão o Senhor?	4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.
5 Foram tomados de terror, não havendo nada para temer. Porque Deus dispersou os ossos dos que te assediam; foram confundidos porque Deus os rejeitou.	5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.
6 Ah, que venha de Sião a salvação de Israel! Quando Deus tiver mudado a sorte de seu povo, Jacó exultará e Israel se alegrará.	6 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
