Deuteronomio 34

LA SACRA BIBBIA	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 Mosè salì dalle steppe di Moab sul monte Nebo, cima del Pisga, che è di fronte a Gerico, e il Signore gli fece vedere tutta la terra: Galaad fino a Dan,	1 Therefore, Moses ascended from the plains of Moab onto Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, opposite Jericho. And the Lord revealed to him the entire land of Gilead, as far as Dan,
2 tutto Neftali, la terra di Efraim e di Manasse, tutta la terra di Giuda fino al Mare Mediterraneo,	2 and all of Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and the entire land of Judah, even to the furthest sea,
3 il Negheb, il distretto della valle di Gerico, città delle palme, fino a Zoar.	3 and the southern region, and the breadth of the plain of Jericho, the city of palms, as far as Zoar.
4 Il Signore gli disse: "Questa è la terra che ho promesso con giuramento ad Abramo, a Isacco e a Giacobbe dicendo: "Alla tua posterità la donerò". Te l'ho fatta vedere con i tuoi occhi, ma tu non vi entrerai".	4 And the Lord said to him: “This is the land, about which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying: I will give it to your offspring. You have seen it with your eyes, but you shall not cross over to it.”
5 Mosè, servo del Signore, morì ivi, nella terra di Moab, secondo la parola del Signore.	5 And Moses, the servant of the Lord, died in that place, in the land of Moab, by order of the Lord.
6 Fu sepolto nella valle, nella terra di Moab, di fronte a Bet-Peor. Nessuno ha conosciuto la sua tomba fino ad oggi.	6 And he buried him in the valley of the land of Moab, opposite Peor. And no man knows where his sepulcher is, even to the present day.
7 Mosè aveva centovent'anni quando morì: il suo occhio non si era indebolito e il suo vigore non si era spento.	7 Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eye was not dimmed, nor were his teeth displaced.
8 I figli d'Israele piansero Mosè nelle steppe di Moab per trenta giorni, finché furono compiuti i giorni di pianto per il lutto di Mosè.	8 And the sons of Israel wept for him in the plains of Moab for thirty days. And then the days of their wailing, during which they mourned Moses, were completed.
9 Giosuè, figlio di Nun, era pieno dello spirito di sapienza, perché Mosè gli aveva imposto le mani. I figli d'Israele lo ascoltarono e fecero come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.	9 Truly, Joshua, the son of Nun, was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands upon him. And the sons of Israel were obedient to him, and they did as the Lord instructed Moses.
10 Non sorse più profeta in Israele come Mosè, che il Signore conosceva faccia a faccia,	10 And no other prophet rose up in Israel like Moses, one whom the Lord knew face to face,
11 per tutti i segni e i prodigi che il Signore lo mandò a compiere nella terra d'Egitto per il faraone, per tutti i suoi servi e per tutta la sua terra;	11 one with all the signs and wonders, which he sent through him, to perform in the land of Egypt, against Pharaoh, and all his servants, and his entire land,
12 per tutta la potenza della sua mano e per tutte le opere terribili e grandi che compì Mosè agli occhi di tutto Israele.	12 nor one with such a powerful hand and such great miracles as Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
