1 Il re Assuero stabilì un'imposta sul paese e sulle isole del mare.	1 And king Assuerus made all the land, and all the islands of the sea tributary.
2 E tutti gli atti di forza e di potenza e i dettagli della grandezza di Mardocheo, che il re esaltò, non sono forse scritti nel libro delle cronache dei re di Media e di Persia?	2 And his strength and his empire, and the dignity and greatness wherewith he exalted Mardochai, are written in the books of the Medes, and of the Persians:
3 Nell'anno quarto del regno di Tolomeo e Cleopatra, Dositeo, che si dice essere sacerdote e levita, e Tolomeo suo figlio, portarono la lettera pubblicata riguardo alla festa di Purim; essi affermavano essere quella la vera ed essere stata interpretata da Lisimaco, figlio di Tolomeo, residente a Gerusalemme.	3 And how Mardochai of the race of the Jews, was next after king Assuerus: and great among the Jews, and acceptable to the people of his brethren, seeking the good of his people, and speaking those things which were for the welfare of his seed.
