Apocalisse 20

1 - E vidi un angelo scender dal cielo, che aveva la chiave dell'abisso e una gran catena nella sua mano.	1 And I saw an Angel, descending from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the abyss and a great chain.
2 E afferrò il drago, l'antico serpente ch'è il diavolo e Satana, e lo legò per mille anni,	2 And he apprehended the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and he bound him for a thousand years.
3 e lo gettò nell'abisso, e serrò e sigillò [l'abisso] sopra di lui, affinchè non seducesse più le genti, sino a che fosser compiuti i mille anni: dopo, dev'esser sciolto per un po' di tempo.	3 And he cast him into the abyss, and he closed and sealed it, so that he would no longer seduce the nations, until the thousand years are completed. And after these things, he must be released for a brief time.
4 E vidi de' troni, e si assisero su di essi, e fu dato loro di giudicare. E [vidi] le anime dei decollati per la testimonianza di Gesù e per la parola di Dio, e quelli che non avevano adorato la bestia nè la sua effigie, e non avevan ricevuto il marchio sulla fronte e sulla mano loro; e [ri] vissero e regnaron con Cristo mille anni. -	4 And I saw thrones. And they sat upon them. And judgment was given to them. And the souls of those beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the Word of God, and who did not adore the beast, nor his image, nor accept his character on their foreheads or on their hands: they lived and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
5 Gli altri morti non [ri] vissero [nè rivivranno], finchè non sian compiuti i mille anni. - Questa è la prima risurrezione.	5 The rest of the dead did not live, until the thousand years are completed. This is the First Resurrection.
6 Beato e santo, chi ha parte nella prima risurrezione! Su costoro la morte seconda non ha potere; ma saran sacerdoti di Dio e di Cristo, e regneranno con lui mille anni.	6 Blessed and holy is he who takes part in the First Resurrection. Over these the second death has no power. But they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him for a thousand years.
7 E quando saran terminati i mille anni, sarà sciolto Satana dalla sua prigione, e uscirà a sedurre le nazioni che sono ai quattro canti della terra, Gog e Magog, per adunarle a battaglia: il cui numero è come la rena del mare.	7 And when the thousand years will have been completed, Satan shall be released from his prison, and he will go out and seduce the nations which are upon the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog. And he will gather them together for battle, those whose number is like the sand of the sea.
8 E salirono sul piano della terra, e circondaron l'accampamento de' santi e la città diletta.	8 And they climbed across the breadth of the earth, and they encompassed the camp of the Saints and the Beloved City.
9 E scese fuoco dal cielo e li divorò. E il diavolo loro seduttore fu gettato nello stagno di fuoco e di zolfo, dove [già sono] in bestia	9 And fire from God descended from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who seduced them, was cast into the pool of fire and sulphur,
10 e il falso profeta, e saran tormentati giorno e notte ne' secoli de' secoli.	10 where both the beast and the false prophetess shall be tortured, day and night, forever and ever.
11 E vidi un gran trono bianco e quegli che c'era seduto sopra; dalla cui presenza fuggì la terra e il cielo, e non si trovò [più] posto per loro.	11 And I saw a great white throne, and One sitting upon it, from whose sight earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them.
12 E vidi i morti, grandi e piccoli, in pie' davanti al trono. E furono aperti de' libri, e un altro libro fu aperto, ch'è quello della vita; e furon giudicati i morti dalle cose scritte ne' libri, secondo le opere loro.	12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in view of the throne. And books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged by those things that had been written in the books, according to their works.
13 E il mare diede i suoi morti, e la Morte e l'Orco diedero [anch'essi] i loro morti, e furon giudicati ciascuno secondo le loro opere,	13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it. And death and Hell gave up their dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
14 e la Morte e l'Orco furon gettati nello stagno di fuoco. È questa la morte seconda: [lo stagno di fuoco].	14 And Hell and death were cast into the pool of fire. This is the second death.
15 E chiunque non fu trovato scritto nel libro della vita, fu gettato nello stagno di fuoco.	15 And whoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the pool of fire.
