1 - Alleluia! Lodate il nome del Signore, lodate [voi suoi] servi, il Signore,	1 Alleluia. Praise the name of the Lord. You servants, praise the Lord.
2 voi che state nella casa del Signore, negli atri della casa del nostro Dio.	2 You who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God:
3 Lodate il Signore, perchè il Signore è buono, inneggiate al suo nome, perch'è soave.	3 praise the Lord, for the Lord is good. Sing psalms to his name, for it is sweet.
4 Poichè il Signore s'è scelto Giacobbe, [s'è scelto] Israele per sua possessione.	4 For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel for his own possession.
5 Io so che grande è il Signore, e il nostro Dio è su tutti gli dèi.	5 For I have known that the Lord is great, and our God is before all gods.
6 Tutto quanto vuole il Signore, egli fa nel cielo e sulla terra, nel mare e in tutti gli abissi.	6 All things whatsoever that he willed, the Lord did: in heaven, on earth, in the sea, and in all the deep places.
7 Solleva le nubi dall'estremità della terra; le folgori per la pioggia produce, i vènti trae fuori dai suoi serbatoi.	7 He leads clouds from the ends of the earth. He has created lightnings in the rain. He has produced winds from his storehouses.
8 Egli percosse i primogeniti d'Egitto, dall'uomo sino alle bestie.	8 He struck the first-born of Egypt, from man even to cattle.
9 E mandò portenti e prodigi in mezzo a te, o Egitto, contro Faraone e tutti i suoi servi.	9 He sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt: upon Pharaoh and upon all his servants.
10 Percosse nazioni molte, e uccise re potenti,	10 He has struck many nations, and he has slaughtered strong kings:
11 Sehon re degli Amorreie Og re di Basane tutti i regni di Canaan:	11 Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan.
12 e diede la lor terra in retaggio, in retaggio a Israele suo popolo.	12 And he gave their land as an inheritance, as an inheritance for his people Israel.
13 Signore, il tuo nome sta in eterno! Signore, la tua memoria [va] di generazione in generazione!	13 Your name, O Lord, is in eternity. Your memorial, O Lord, is from generation to generation.
14 Perchè fa giustizia il Signore al suo popolo, e de' suoi servi si muove a pietà.	14 For the Lord will judge his people, and he will be petitioned by his servants.
15 [Ma] gl'idoli delle genti sono argento e oro, opera delle mani degli uomini.	15 The idols of the Gentiles are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men.
16 Han la bocca e non parlano, han gli occhi e non vedono,	16 They have a mouth, and do not speak. They have eyes, and do not see.
17 han gli orecchi e non odono, nè v'è fiato nella lor bocca.	17 They have ears, and do not hear. For neither is there any breath in their mouths.
18 Diventino simili ad essi quei che li fabbricanoe quanti confidano in loro!	18 Let those who make them become like them, along with all who trust in them.
19 O casa d'Israele, benedite il Signore, casa d'Aronne, benedite il Signore,	19 Bless the Lord, O house of Israel. Bless the Lord, O house of Aaron.
20 casa di Levi benedite il Signore, voi che temete il Signore, benedite il Signore!	20 Bless the Lord, O house of Levi. You who fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
21 Benedetto da Sion il Signore, che abita in Gerusalemme. [Alleluia!]	21 The Lord is blessed from Zion, by those who dwell in Jerusalem.
