Esodo 15

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Allora Mosè ed i figli di Israele cantarono al Signore questo cantico, e dissero: «Cantiamo al Signore, poichè s'è mostrato grandemente glorioso, ha precipitato in mare il cavallo e il cavaliere.	1 It was then that Moses and the Israelites sang this song in Yahweh's honour: I shall sing to Yahweh,for he has covered himself in glory, horse and rider he has thrown into the sea.
2 Mia fortezza e mia lode è il Signore, è stato egli la mia salute;Egli è il mio Dio, e lo glorificherò, il Dio di mio padre, e lo esalterò.	2 Yah is my strength and my song, to him I owe my deliverance. He is my God and I shal praise him,my father's God and I shal extol him.
3 Il Signore è come un guerriero; il suo nome è l' Onnipotente.	3 Yahweh is a warrior; Yahweh is his name.
4 Ha travolto nel mare i carri del Faraone ed il suo esercito; gli scelti suoi condottieri son stati sommersi nel Mar Rosso.	4 Pharaoh's chariots and army he has hurled into the sea the pick of his officers have been drowned inthe Sea of Reeds.
5 Gli abissi li inghiottirono; caddero al fondo come una pietra.	5 The ocean has closed over them; they have sunk to the bottom like a stone.
6 La tua destra, Signore, s' è mostrata grande in potenza; la tua destra, Signore, ha percosso il nemico.	6 Your right hand, Yahweh, wins glory by its strength, your right hand, Yahweh, shatters your foes,
7 Con la grandezza della tua gloria hai atterrato i tuoi avversari; hai dato corso alla tua collera, che li ha consumati come paglia.	7 and by your great majesty you fell your assailants; you unleash your fury, it consumes them like chaff.
8 Al soffio del tuo furore, le acque si sono ammonticchiate; l'onda fluente s'è fermata; i flutti si sono arrestati in mezzo al mare.	8 A blast from your nostrils and the waters piled high; the waves stood firm as a dyke; the bed of the seabecame firm ground.
9 Disse il nemico: - Li inseguirò, li raggiungerò, spartirò le loro spoglie, sazierò la mia voglia, sguainerò la mia spada, la mia mano li sterminerà.-	9 The enemy said, 'I shal give chase and overtake, 'I shal share out the spoil and glut myself on them, 'Ishall draw my sword, my hand wil destroy them.'
10 Ma il tuo fiato soffiò, ed il mare li ricoprì; furon sommersi come piombo nell'acque impetuose.	10 You blew with your breath, the sea closed over them; they sank like lead in the terrible waters.
11 Chi tra i forti è simile a te, Signore?chi è simile a te, magnifico in santità, terribile e degno di lode, operator di prodigi?	11 Yahweh, who is like you, majestic in sanctity, who like you among the holy ones, fearsome of deed,worker of wonders?
12 Tu hai steso la mano, e la terra li ha inghiottiti.	12 You stretched your right hand out, the earth swallowed them!
13 Nella tua misericordia, ti sei fatto guida al popolo che tu hai liberato, e con la tua potenza l'hai portato alla tua santa dimora.	13 In your faithful love you led out the people you had redeemed, in your strength you have guided themto your holy dwel ing.
14 I popoli si son levati, si sono sdegnati; il dolore s'è impossessato degli abitanti tra' Filistei.	14 Hearing of this, the peoples tremble; pangs seize on the people of Philistia;
15 Ecco, han tremato i principi d' Edom; il terrore ha preso i forti di Moab; tutti gli abitanti di Canaan sono agghiacciati.	15 the chieftains of Edom are dismayed, Moab's princes -- panic has seized them, all the inhabitants ofCanaan have melted away.
16 Cada su d'essi timore e tremore; per la forza del tuo braccio divengano immobili come pietra, sinchè sia passato il tuo popolo, Signore, sinchè sia passato questo tuo popolo che ti sei acquistato.	16 On them fall terror and dread; through the power of your arm they are stil as stone while your peopleare passing, Yahweh, while the people you have purchased are passing.
17 Li introdurrai, e li stabilirai sul monte della tua eredità,.nella ben fondata dimora che ti sei fabbricato, Signore: il tuo santuario, Signore, che le tue mani han stabilito.	17 You wil bring them in and plant them on the mountain which is your heritage, the place which you,Yahweh, have made your dwel ing, the sanctuary, Yahweh, prepared by your own hands.
18 Il Signore regnerà in eterno, e al di là.»	18 Yahweh will be king for ever and ever.
19 Il Faraone infatti entrò a cavallo, co' suoi carri e cavalieri, nel mare, ed il Signore ricondusse su loro le acque del mare; ma i figli d' Israele vi passarono in mezzo, all'asciutto.	19 For when Pharaoh's cavalry, with his chariots and horsemen, had gone into the sea, Yahweh broughtthe waters of the sea back over them, though the Israelites went on dry ground right through the sea.
20 Maria poi, profetessa, sorella d'Aronne, prese in mano un timpano, e dietro a lei andaron tutte le donne coi timpani, in coro.	20 The prophetess Miriam, Aaron's sister, took up a tambourine, and all the women fol owed her withtambourines, dancing,
21 Alle quali essa intonava il canto, dicendo: «Cantiamo al Signore, perché s'è mostrato grandemente glorioso; ha precipitato in mare il cavallo e il suo cavaliere.»	21 while Miriam took up from them the refrain: Sing to Yahweh, for he has covered himself in glory,horse and rider he has thrown into the sea.
22 Mosè dunque condusse via Israele dal Mar Rosso, e giunsero al deserto di Sur; camminarono tre giorni nel deserto e non trovarono, acqua.	22 Moses led Israel away from the Sea of Reeds, and they entered the desert of Shur. They thentravel ed through the desert for three days without finding water.
23 Poi vennero in Mara; ma non potevan bere le acque di Mara, perchè erano amare; perciò fu messo a quel luogo un nome adattato, chiamandolo " Mara ", cioè " Amarezza ".	23 When they reached Marah, they could not drink the Marah water because it was bitter; this is why theplace was named Marah.
24 Il popolo mormorò contro Mosè, dicendo: «Cosa beveremo?».	24 The people complained to Moses saying, 'What are we to drink?'
25 Ma egli si rivolse al Signore, il quale gli mostrò un certo legno; messo questo nell'acque, divennero dolci. Ivi ancora [il Signore] dette al popolo dei precetti e delle leggi, e lo mise a prova,	25 Moses appealed to Yahweh for help, and Yahweh showed him a piece of wood. When Moses threwit into the water, the water became sweet. There he laid down a statute and law for them and there he put themto the test. Then he said,
26 dicendo: «Se ascolterai la voce del Signore Dio tuo, se farai quello che è giusto davanti a lui, se obbedirai ai suoi comandamenti ed osserverai tutti i suoi ordini, non farò venire su te nessuno dei mali da me mandati in Egitto. Io infatti [sono] il Signore che ti guarisco».	26 'If you listen careful y to the voice of Yahweh your God and do what he regards as right, if you payattention to his commandments and keep al his laws, I shal never inflict on you any of the diseases that Iinflicted on the Egyptians, for I am Yahweh your Healer.'
27 Dipoi vennero i figli d'Israele in Elim, ov'erano dodici fonti d'acqua, e settanta palme, e s'accamparono presso quelle acque.	27 So they came to Elim where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees; and there theypitched camp beside the water.
