Hebrews 3

1 Therefore, holy brothers, sharers in the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus.	1 - Voi dunque, fratelli santi, che siete partecipi alla celeste chiamata ben considerate l'apostolo e il sommo sacerdote della nostra fede, Gesù;
2 He is faithful to the One who made him, just as Moses also was, with his entire house.	2 il quale è fedele a colui che l'ha costituito, come anche Mosè fu [fedele] in tutta la casa di Lui.
3 For this Jesus was considered worthy of greater glory than Moses, so much so that the house which he has built holds a greater honor than the former one.	3 Giacchè Gesù è stato fatto degno di tanta maggior gloria in confronto di Mosè, quanto maggior onore ha, in confronto a una casa, chi l'ha costruita.
4 For every house is built by someone, but God is the One who has created all things.	4 Poichè ogni casa vien costruita da qualcuno e chi ha costruito ogni cosa è Dio.
5 And certainly Moses was faithful, with his entire house, like any servant, as a testimony to those things that would soon be said.	5 Ora Mosè fu sì fedele in tutta la casa di Dio come servitore, a testimonianza delle cose che sarebbero state annunziate,
6 Yet truly, Christ is like a Son in his own house. We are that house, if we firmly retain the faithfulness and the glory of hope, even unto the end.	6 ma Cristo fu, come figlio, soprastante alla propria casa e la sua casa siamo noi, a condizione che manteniamo salda sino alla fine la sicura fiducia e la speranza di cui ci gloriamo.
7 Because of this, it is just as the Holy Spirit says: “If today you hear his voice,	7 Perciò, come dice lo Spirito Santo: «Oggi, se voi udite la sua voce,
8 harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, the very day of temptation, in the desert,	8 non indurite i vostri cuori come al tempo della contesa, nel giorno della tentazione nel deserto,
9 where your fathers tested me, even though they had seen and examined my works for forty years.	9 quando mi tentarono i vostri padri nella prova. E videro le opere mie
10 For this reason, I was enraged against this generation, and I said: They always wander astray in heart. For they have not known my ways.	10 per quarant'anni; per cui mi irritai con questa generazione, e dissi: - Sempre si sviano nel cuor loro, e non hanno conosciuto le mie vie -;
11 So it is as I swore in my wrath: They shall not enter into my rest!”	11 sicchè io giurai nell'ira mia: - Non entreranno nel mio riposo -».
12 Be cautious, brothers, lest perhaps there may be, in any of you, an evil heart of unbelief, turning aside from the living God.	12 Badate, o fratelli, che non vi sia in alcuno di voi un cuor malvagio ed incredulo, sì da scostarsi dal Dio vivente,
13 Instead, exhort one another every day, while it is still called ‘today,’ so that none of you may become hardened through the falseness of sin.	13 ma esortatevi a vicenda ogni giorno, fino a che si può dire «oggi», affinchè non «s'indurisca» qualcuno di voi per l'inganno del peccato;
14 For we have been made participants in Christ. This is only so, if we firmly retain the beginning of his substance, even unto the end.	14 poichè noi siam partecipi di Cristo alla condizione che manteniamo salda sino alla fine la fiducia che avemmo a principio
15 For it has been said: “If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts, in the same manner as in the former provocation.”	15 quando si diceva: «Oggi se udite la voce di Lui, non indurite i vostri cuori come al tempo della contesa».
16 For some of those listening did provoke him. But not all of these had set forth from Egypt through Moses.	16 E chi furono quelli che ascoltata la sua voce contesero con Lui? non forse quelli tutti che erano usciti dall'Egitto per opera di Mose?
17 So against whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not those who had sinned, whose dead bodies lay prostrate in the desert?	17 E contro chi s'irritò nei quarant'anni? non con quelli che avevano peccato, i cui cadaveri giacquero nel deserto?
18 But to whom did he swear that they would not enter into his rest, except to those who were incredulous?	18 A chi giurò che non sarebbero entrati nel suo riposo se non a quelli che non avevan creduto?
19 And so, we perceive that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.	19 E noi vediamo che non poterono entrare per la loro incredulità.
