1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who are not walking according to the flesh.	1 Нема, отже, тепер ніякого засуду для тих, що в Христі Ісусі.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and death.	2 Бо закон духа, (що дає) життя в Христі Ісусі, визволив тебе від закону гріха і смерти.
3 For though this was impossible under the law, because it was weakened by the flesh, God sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and because of sin, in order to condemn sin in the flesh,	3 Бо те, що було неможливим для закону, ослабленого тілом, Бог, — пославши свого Сина в тілі, схожім на гріховне тіло, ради гріха, осудив гріх у тілі,
4 so that the justification of the law might be fulfilled in us. For we are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.	4 щоб оправдання закону здійснилося на нас, що ходимо не за тілом, а за духом.
5 For those who are in agreement with the flesh are mindful of the things of the flesh. But those who are in agreement with the spirit are mindful of the things of the spirit.	5 Бо ті, що живуть за тілом, думають про тілесне; ті ж, що за духом, — про духове.
6 For the prudence of the flesh is death. But the prudence of the spirit is life and peace.	6 Бо прагнення тіла (веде) до смерти, а прагнення духа — до життя і миру;
7 And the wisdom of the flesh is inimical to God. For it is not subject to the law of God, nor can it be.	7 тому що прагнення тіла вороже Богові — бо не кориться законові Божому, та й не може.
8 So those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.	8 Тілесні не можуть подобатись Богові.
9 And you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if it is true that the Spirit of God lives within you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him.	9 Ви ж не тілесні, але духовні, якщо Дух Божий живе у вас. Коли ж хтось Духа Христового не має, той йому не належить.
10 But if Christ is within you, then the body is indeed dead, concerning sin, but the spirit truly lives, because of justification.	10 А як Христос у вас, то тіло мертве через гріх, але дух живий через праведність.
11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead lives within you, then he who raised up Jesus Christ from the dead shall also enliven your mortal bodies, by means of his Spirit living within you.	11 І коли Дух того, хто воскресив Ісуса з мертвих, мешкає у вас, то той, хто воскресив Христа з мертвих, оживить і ваші смертні тіла Духом своїм, що живе у вас.
12 Therefore, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, so as to live according to the flesh.	12 Тим то, брати, ми боржники не тілу, щоб за тілом жити;
13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die. But if, by the Spirit, you mortify the deeds of the flesh, you shall live.	13 бо коли живете за тілом, то помрете. Якже ви духом умертвляєте тілесні вчинки, будете жити.
14 For all those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.	14 Усі бо ті, що їх водить Дух Божий, вони — сини Божі.
15 And you have not received, again, a spirit of servitude in fear, but you have received the Spirit of the adoption of sons, in whom we cry out: “Abba, Father!”	15 Бо ви не прийняли дух рабства, щоб знову підлягати боязні, але прийняли дух усиновленя, яким кличемо: «Авва! — Отче!»
16 For the Spirit himself renders testimony to our spirit that we are the sons of God.	16 Сам цей Дух свідчить разом із нашим духом, що ми — діти Божі;
17 But if we are sons, then we are also heirs: certainly heirs of God, but also co-heirs with Christ, yet in such a way that, if we suffer with him, we shall also be glorified with him.	17 а коли діти, то й спадкоємці ж Божі — співспадкоємці Христа, якщо ми страждаємо разом із ним, щоб разом з ним і прославитися.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with that future glory which shall be revealed in us.	18 Гадаю бо, що страждання нинішнього часу негідні майбутньої слави, яка має нам з’явитися.
19 For the anticipation of the creature anticipates the revelation of the sons of God.	19 Бо створіння очікує нетерпляче виявлення синів Божих.
20 For the creature was made subject to emptiness, not willingly, but for the sake of the One who made it subject, unto hope.	20 Створіння було підпорядковане суєті не добровільно, а через того, хто його підкорив, у надії,
21 For the creature itself shall also be delivered from the servitude of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the sons of God.	21 що й саме створіння визволиться від рабства тління, на свободу слави дітей Божих.
22 For we know that every creature groans inwardly, as if giving birth, even until now;	22 Бо знаємо, що все створіння разом понині стогне і разом страждає у тяжких муках.
23 and not only these, but also ourselves, since we hold the first-fruits of the Spirit. For we also groan within ourselves, anticipating our adoption as the sons of God, and the redemption of our body.	23 Не тільки вони, а й ми самі, що маємо зачаток Духа, ми самі в собі стогнемо, очікуючи усиновлення, визволення нашого тіла,
24 For we have been saved by hope. But a hope which is seen is not hope. For when a man sees something, why would he hope?	24 бо ми надією спаслися. Коли ж хтось бачить те, чого надіється, то це не є вже надія; бо що хтось бачить, хіба того надіється?
25 But since we hope for what we do not see, we wait with patience.	25 Якже ми сподіваємося, чого не бачимо, очікуємо його витривало.
26 And similarly, the Spirit also helps our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself asks on our behalf with ineffable sighing.	26 Так само й Дух допомагає нам у немочі нашій; про що бо нам молитися як слід, ми не знаємо, але сам Дух заступається за нас стогонами невимовними.
27 And he who examines hearts knows what the Spirit seeks, because he asks on behalf of the saints in accordance with God.	27 А той, хто досліджує серця, знає, яке бажання Духа і що він заступається за святих згідно з Божою волею.
28 And we know that, for those who love God, all things work together unto good, for those who, in accordance with his purpose, are called to be saints.	28 Ми знаємо, що тим, які люблять Бога, — покликаним за його постановою, усе співдіє на добро.
29 For those whom he foreknew, he also predestinated, in conformity with the image of his Son, so that he might be the Firstborn among many brothers.	29 Бо яких він передбачив, тих наперед призначив, щоб були подібні до образу Сина його, щоб він був первородний між багатьма братами;
30 And those whom he predestinated, he also called. And those whom he called, he also justified. And those whom he justified, he also glorified.	30 яких же наперед призначив, тих і покликав; а яких покликав, тих оправдав; яких же оправдав, тих і прославив.
31 So, what should we say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?	31 Що скажемо на це? Коли Бог за нас, хто проти нас?
32 He who did not spare even his own Son, but handed him over for the sake of us all, how could he not also, with him, have given us all things?	32 Він власного Сина свого не пощадив, а видав його за всіх нас, — як же разом із ним не подарує нам усього?
33 Who will make an accusation against the elect of God? God is the One who justifies;	33 Хто буде винуватити вибраних Божих? Бог — той, що оправдує;
34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus who has died, and who has indeed also risen again, is at the right hand of God, and even now he intercedes for us.	34 хто ж той, що засудить? Христос Ісус, який умер, ба й воскрес, що по правиці Божій, — він заступається за нас.
35 Then who will separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation? Or anguish? Or famine? Or nakedness? Or peril? Or persecution? Or the sword?	35 Хто нас відлучить від Христової любови? Горе чи утиск, чи переслідування, чи голод, чи нагота, чи небезпека, чи меч?
36 For it is as it has been written: “For your sake, we are being put to death all day long. We are being treated like sheep for the slaughter.”	36 Як написано: «За тебе нас увесь день убивають, уважають нас за овець (призначених) на заріз.»
37 But in all these things we overcome, because of him who has loved us.	37 Але в усьому цьому ми маємо повну перемогу завдяки тому, хто полюбив нас.
38 For I am certain that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor Principalities, nor Powers, nor the present things, nor the future things, nor strength,	38 Бо я певний, що ні смерть, ні життя, ні ангели, ні князівства, ні теперішнє, ні майбутнє, ні сили,
39 nor the heights, nor the depths, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.	39 ні висота, ні глибина, ані інше якесь створіння не зможе нас відлучити від Божої любови, що в Христі Ісусі, Господі нашім.
