Hosea 12

1 Ephraim feeds on wind and follows burning heat; all day long he multiplies lies and desolation. And he has entered into a pact with the Assyrians, and he has carried oil into Egypt.	1 Ephraïm m'entoure de mensonge et la maison d'Israël de tromperie. (Mais Juda est encore auprès deDieu, au Saint il reste fidèle.)
2 Therefore, the judgment of the Lord is with Judah and a visitation is upon Jacob. He will repay him according to his ways and according to his inventions.	2 Ephraïm se repaît de vent, tout le jour il poursuit le vent d'est; il multiplie mensonge et fausseté: onconclut alliance avec Assur, on porte de l'huile à l'Egypte.
3 In the womb, he supplanted his brother; for in his good fortune, he had been guided by an angel.	3 Yahvé est en procès avec Juda, il va sévir contre Jacob selon sa conduite, et lui rendre selon sesactions.
4 And he prevailed over an angel, for he had been strengthened. He wept and petitioned him. He found him in Bethel, and there he has spoken to us.	4 Dès le sein maternel il supplanta son frère, dans sa vigueur il fut fort contre Dieu.
5 And the Lord God of hosts, the Lord is his memorial.	5 Il fut fort contre l'Ange et l'emporta, il pleura et l'implora. A Béthel il le rencontra. C'est là qu'il parlaavec nous.
6 And so, you should convert to your God. Keep mercy and judgment, and have hope in your God always.	6 Oui, Yahvé, le Dieu Sabaot, Yahvé est son titre.
7 Canaan, in his hand is a deceitful balance, he has chosen false accusations.	7 Pour toi, grâce à ton Dieu, tu reviendras. Garde l'amour et le droit et espère en ton Dieu toujours.
8 And Ephraim has said, “Nevertheless, I have become rich; I have found an idol for myself. All of my labors will not reveal to me the iniquity that I have committed.”	8 Canaan a en main des balances trompeuses, il aime à exploiter.
9 And I, the Lord your God from the land of Egypt, nevertheless will cause you to dwell in tabernacles, just as during the days of the feast.	9 Ephraïm a dit: "Oui, je me suis enrichi, je me suis acquis une fortune"; mais de tous ses gains, rien nelui restera, à cause de la faute dont il s'est rendu coupable.
10 And I have spoken through the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and I have used parables through the hands of the prophets.	10 Je suis Yahvé ton Dieu, depuis le pays d'Egypte. Je te ferai encore habiter sous les tentes commeaux jours du Rendez-vous.
11 If Gilead is an idol, then they have been sacrificing cattle in Gilgal to no purpose. For even their altars are like clutter on the soil of the field.	11 Je parlerai aux prophètes, moi, je multiplierai les visions et par le ministère des prophètes je parleraien paraboles.
12 Jacob fled into the region of Syria, and Israel served like a wife, and was served by a wife.	12 Si Galaad n'est qu'iniquité, eux ne sont que fausseté; à Gilgal ils sacrifient aux taureaux, c'estpourquoi leurs autels seront comme des monceaux de pierres sur les sillons des champs.
13 Yet by a prophet the Lord led Israel out of Egypt, and he was served by a prophet.	13 Jacob s'enfuit aux campagnes d'Aram, Israël servit pour une femme, pour une femme, il garda lestroupeaux.
14 Ephraim has provoked me to wrath with his bitterness, and his blood will overcome him, and his Lord will requite him for his shamefulness.	14 Mais par un prophète, Yahvé fit monter Israël d'Egypte, et par un prophète il fut gardé.
