Ezekiel 6

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
2 “Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and you shall prophesy against them,	2 "Figlio dell'uomo, rivolgi la faccia verso i monti d'Israele e profetizza contro di essi.
3 and you shall say: O mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord God! Thus says the Lord God to the mountains and hills and cliffs and valleys: Behold, I will lead over you the sword. And I will destroy your exalted places.	3 Dirai: Monti d'Israele, ascoltate la parola di Dio, mio Signore. Così dice Dio, mio Signore, ai monti, ai colli, alle gole e alle valli; ecco: io sto per far venire su di voi la spada; distruggerò i vostri alti recinti sacri.
4 And I will demolish your altars. And your graven images will be broken apart. And I will throw down your slain before your idols.	4 I vostri altari saranno devastati e i vostri incensieri frantumati. Farò cadere i vostri feriti davanti ai vostri idoli;
5 And I will lay the dead bodies of the sons of Israel before the face of your idols. And I will scatter your bones around your altars.	5 e i cadaveri dei figli d'Israele li butterò di fronte ai loro idoli e disperderò le vostre stesse ossa attorno ai vostri altari.
6 In all of your habitations, the cities will be made desolate, and the exalted places will be torn down and scattered. And your altars will be broken and destroyed. And your idols will cease to exist. And your shrines will be crushed. And your works will be wiped away.	6 In ogni vostra località le città saranno devastate e gli alti recinti sacri saranno sconquassati in modo che i vostri altari rimangano devastati e sconquassati e i vostri idoli siano frantumati e fatti sparire e i vostri incensieri tolti di mezzo e le vostre opere cancellate.
7 And the slain will fall in your midst. And you shall know that I am the Lord.	7 I feriti cadranno in mezzo a voi e riconoscerete che io sono il Signore.
8 And I will leave among you those who will escape the sword among the Gentiles, when I will have dispersed you upon the earth.	8 Ma in parte vi risparmierò, lasciando dei superstiti della spada tra le genti, disperdendovi per il mondo.
9 And your liberated shall remember me among the nations to which they were led away as captives. For I have crushed their heart, which fornicated and withdrew from me, and their eyes, which fornicated after their idols. And they will be displeased with themselves over the evils that they have done by all their abominations.	9 I vostri superstiti si ricorderanno di me tra le genti presso cui saranno condotti prigionieri, di me che ho frantumato il loro cuore prostituito, che si è staccato da me, e i loro occhi, prostituitisi seguendo i loro idoli, e resteranno con il volto angosciato per i mali che hanno fatto con tutte le loro abominazioni.
10 And they shall know that I, the Lord, have not spoken in vain, that I would do this evil to them.”	10 Riconosceranno che io, il Signore, non invano ho parlato di fare ad essi questo male".
11 Thus says the Lord God: “Strike with your hand, and stomp with your foot, and say: ‘Alas, to all the abominations of the evils of the house of Israel!’ For they will fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.	11 Così dice il Signore: "Batti le mani e pesta i piedi e di': Ahi! Per tutte le pessime abominazioni la casa d'Israele cadrà di spada, di fame, di peste.
12 Whoever is far away will die of pestilence. But whoever is near will fall by the sword. And whoever remains and is besieged will die by famine. And I will fulfill my indignation among them.	12 I lontani morranno di peste e i vicini cadranno di spada e i restanti e scampati morranno di fame e così il mio furore si compirà su di loro.
13 And you shall know that I am the Lord, when your slain will be in the midst of your idols, all around your altars, on every exalted hill, and on the summits of all the mountains, and under every dense tree, and under every leafy oak: the places where they burned sweet-smelling incense to all their idols.	13 Conoscerete che io sono il Signore quando tra i loro idoli ci saranno i loro feriti attorno ai loro altari, su ogni colle elevato, su ogni cima, sotto ogni albero verde e sotto ogni quercia frondosa, là dove offrono profumi soavi a tutti i loro idoli.
14 And I will extend my hand over them. And I will make the earth desolate and destitute: from the desert of Riblah to all their dwelling places. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”	14 Stenderò la mia mano contro di essi e renderò la terra una desolazione totale dal deserto fino a Ribla in ogni loro località. Conosceranno che io sono il Signore".
